I usually drive 45 minutes to Venus Nail Salon in Edison because they're amazing, but today I decided to try LV Nail Salon since it's only 5 minutes from me and they looked busy (which I usually take as a good sign). As a walk-in, the receptionist sat me right at the pedi station. I didn't mind waiting for a tech since I just walked in, but what bothered me is that a gel pedicure ($45) came with nothing in the water ,no bubbles, no cleaning tablet, just plain water that kept going cold. I asked Paul, the tech, twice if that was normal and he said yes, unless you pay $65 for the spa pedicure. Considering a basic pedicure is $33, it doesn't make sense that a gel pedicure at $45 doesn't include at least some of those basics. After I complained about the plain water, Paul did add the callous scrub, hot stones, and a hot towel, which was nice but the polish job itself was still terrible. My toenails looked chipped right after he finished. At that point, I didn't even want my manicure because I figured it would turn out bad too. I still paid (and tipped, because that's just who I am), but several staff members stopped me from leaving and tried to make things right, which I appreciated. Paul tried again, but the second attempt at painting my toes wasn't much better. Honestly, I'd rather be denied service than be rushed through something low quality. I did go ahead with a gel-x manicure from Jennie, and she did a great job probably the highlight of my visit. But overall, the pedicure experience was very disappointing, and after two tries, I still left unhappy. Bottom line: The staff was polite and tried to accommodate, but the pedicure quality didn't match the price. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back. read more

I had a truly disappointing experience at this salon. I had shared with the staff that this was my first time doing something nice for myself since having my baby two months ago, which made the treatment I received even more disheartening. The technician was unable to properly paint my natural nails, and even with guidance and correction, the top coat was left clumpy and messy. When I asked for the polish to be removed, the owner (Ryan) loudly yelled at the technician to "hurry up, remove the polish, and get her out of here," which was incredibly unprofessional and rude. To add insult to injury, the owner claimed the polish wouldn't last more than two days anyway--completely dismissing my concerns. While the salon may focus on artificial nails, the attention, care, and artistry that natural nails deserve are clearly missing. This experience was meant to be a small act of self-care, and instead, it left me feeling embarrassed and disrespected. I won't be returning. Ps. The owner is going to try and attack my character in his response. Yet his staff member apologized to me on my way out. It's easy to make up narratives but I believe in giving honest reviews and responses. read more

Just moved to town and needed a new nail salon. Tried this based on the google reviews. I had an appointment as wasn't taken for a good 20 minutes after my appointment time, even though I arrived early. I had a gel manicure with Lisa, she couldn't seem less interested while doing my nails and a pedicure with a man who's name I can't remember. The pedicure was fine. Not as much massaging as I'm used to. Also the receptionist was outside the salon on her phone FaceTiming which was weird, leaving the front desk unattended. The nail techs had to leave their nail station to help customers. So i needed my nails done for a vacation and unfortunately my gel manicure started lifting 2 days after I got it done. So now it's the end of the week and guess how many gel nails I still have on. 0. Also, not sure of what top coat was used for my toes, but they also starting cheating a few days in to my trip.
