This was my second visit to this business so this review covers both visits. I will preface this review with I am new to body waxing but not facial waxing. My first visit was about 4 weeks ago for my first body wax in a semi sensitive area and it was with a person who was very nice and understanding and kept me distracted by asking very social questions about what to watch on tv and movies and that type of thing and the appointment went great at the end of the appointment in the lobby she was able to recommend a product for me to use which I bought and have been using since. I scheduled a follow up appointment for another area of the body that was much more sensitive and would probably be more painful. The day before my appointment I received a message that my original waxer was no longer with the salon and I was being rescheduled for the same time with a different person, which was fine with me. My wax appointment took place today and I came away very disappointed with the experience. I had explained to the waxing specialist that this was my first time waxing that body area and that I was very new to body waxing, and in general. I was shocked at how painful the waxing was but to make it worse the waxy specialist did a sales job on their products the entire time I was there, which made it even more stressful and completely ruined the experience for me and cured me from wanting me to go back to that location. I've been coming here for the last 3-4 years, but unfortunately I had a disappointing experience tonight. I was charged for a wax add-on service that I did not receive. During the appointment, I asked if the inside of my thigh was going to be waxed, and the technician told me she had already done the top portion and that the service was only the strip outside the bikini line. However, the description on your website states that the service includes the area outside the bikini line up to four inches above the knee. I've received this service multiple times before, so I was familiar with what it typically includes. When I questioned it, her response was, "Do you just want me to throw a couple strips down since we're here?" After checking out, I reviewed the service description and confirmed that my understanding was correct. When I returned to discuss it, the front desk staff were not particularly apologetic. One employee simply said, "It was only $17," and offered to text the owner. While the amount itself isn't the issue, I was disappointed by both the service and the way my concerns were handled. this happened about a year ago, but it still upsets me. i booked a service with someone who was training so it was free, there was her and the girl training her in the room with me while i was getting waxed. at one point i noticed the one waxing me react scared, look at the girl training her and kept going. i didn't think much of it. when i got home and went to change my underwear, i saw blood that was NOT from my period. i got so scared, i got a mirror to check myself and saw a cut about 2 cm long on my labia majora. it was dripping blood. the waxer CUT me while she was waxing me, looked at the girl training her, and neither of them said anything. NEITHER of them let me know i was cut and bleeding. this was so unprofessional and not ok. for the trainer to keep an absolute straight face, and have the girl she's training continue like nothing happened. i wish i remembered their names. never ever came back here, and never ever will. read more

I seldom review, but I feel that everyone should be aware. The communication at the Goodyear location is horrible. I have tried multiple times to call to cancel or reschedule my appointments, only to be placed on hold, then the call disconnected. Further, the waxes are very supar and often rushed. The tinting doesn't last. Also, Vanessa is the only person who remotely does a good job; however, she calls off at the last minute. Once I was in my car in front of the facility, I received a call that she had called off and has had additional last-minute call-in offs. Since I can't get through to cancel my appointment I made for tomorrow, 6/20/21here is the notice. I was a consistent person. I will now locate a company that thrives on communication and consistency and employs people who can provide quality services. One tech took part of my eyebrow off, which is why I would only go to Vanessa, but the multiple last-minute call-offs are a no for me. read more

I was early for my apt, I was happy to wait but wanted to ask if I could add on an additional service or see another person that might have some availability and she wouldn't even let me ask my question out without interrupting me and was very snotty and condescending. Then, while I was waiting for my apt, she starting talking bad about the previous customer to the other associate- IN FRONT OF ME! Called this morning and made an appointment for an eyebrow and full bikini wax. I had been here previously and I love the service and quality of wax they use. Trust me it's not as bad as you think and way worth it! They were able to get me in same day with Victoria. She was very friendly and did a great job. She made sure I was okay and distracted me with a friendly conversation. Wax went pretty quick too. I'm already booked with her again next month! The shop itself is very cute and the ladies at the front were so friendly. They were able to schedule my next appointment and they also offered a discount for working at USAA which was nice. I made an appointment as soon as they lifted the lockdown. I used GPS & for some reason ended up in a different location. WARNING: LOOKUP THE SUBWAY NEXT TO THEIR SALON SO GOOGLE MAPS DOESN'T GET YOU LOST. I was late & called from my car when I arrived to a tractor shop instead of the salon. They told me that happens for some odd reason with the GPS & to come in to see what they could do since I was well over 10 mins late. I showed up 15 minutes late & they said they didn't have any cancellation so offered to reschedule me next day. I was bummed but I understood. As soon as I pulled off I got a call & answered. I was so excited to get my eyebrows done after sooooooooooo long. Unfortunately, I was charged a "surplus fee" and I had already paid for my services in advance. So, I was surprised when I was charged this random fee. I asked what it was for and she never answered the question just responded with, it's a one time fee. WHAT IS THAT? Then I gave her a ten$$$ bill for this charge and she asked if I wanted to give the rest in a tip???? Ummmm no! I'm not tipping $8 dollars for a $20 service. This LOCATION is the worse! I've been a loyal to European Wax Center for 7 years and never in any other location have I had any issues. The new manager along with the owner(her bff) make up new rules/policies about how scheduling is,cancellation AND payments. They now have a 24 hour cancellation policy, okay so I made sure I never cancelled within 24 hours after knowing that. Then I was told by Kristi the manager that I'm on a walk in base only? When asking why she told be because I called within that day to switch my appointment! Basically now I can't call back to come earlier or later if needed when I even asked the girls who put me down if that's okay. I never had a problem before also I always book my appointments ahead every other Thursday it's not like I'm over abusing it they have that in record history,If it's against policies then why do the girls who make the appointment say " well I can put you down and if you need to change give us a call" she's ridiculous she's done this to two other people that I know. LONG STORY made short as possible they are super rude and snobby I've seen them make fun of customers which is really sad and low and anyone who was really good is gone due to the way they handle business. Natalie is my waxer and is always on time, she never makes me feel rushed if I ask for an add on and always recommends the best products if I need anything! Beyond disappointed. In 2018 I bought a wax pass because I felt extremely pressured to do so by the office. I've since only used 3 visits because my brows never match, or are similar (one round, one squared). ALL of my friends and family notice, and say something. I also get extreme breakouts and ingrown hairs on my face from their products. I emailed on 2/27/2020, with no response - BEFORE A SHUT DOWN. I've reached out to corporate 3 times asking for a refund on the remainder of my passes because it's just not working out for me. 3 times corporate has told me they escalated to not only the manager but store owner, were almost 12 weeks in, and STILL no response. If you go, at least don't buy a pass. read more

I had been struggling to keep up with plucking my monstrous eyebrows to no avail when I noticed this European Wax Center opening in the Norterra shopping center early this year. I decided to just bite the bullet and go get waxed even though I hate the pain. After the first time I was very pleased! The wax they use just isn't as bad as other waxes. Oh sure there's still some pain but it's not like you want to grit your teeth and cry. I have gone through several ladies (I think I'm on my third) but each one has been pleasant to work with and has been great at doing my brows the way I like them. I just want to look tidy, I embraced my thick brows long ago and I don't like them over waxed as some places tend to do. (Not everyone wants pencil thin brows!) I loved this place and their wax so much that I actually pre-purchased 12 sessions (and I believe the deal is that I get two free because of that?) They also have a referral system where you can earn money towards a session by referring friends. Oh and did I mention that they offer complimentary waxes for first time guests? I believe it's eyebrows, bikini lines, and underarms for women and free eyebrow, nose, or ear for men. I was actually talked into buying their Post Waxing Exfoliate on one trip and I actually don't regret it. First of all this stuff smells FABULOUS. And I actually like to use it all over my face every once in awhile. It's so fascinatingly gross to see all the dead skin rubbing off.
