My wife and I relocated to Los Angeles from New York bringing our love for Volkswagen with us. I have a '07 GTI MKV bone stock but had some aftermarket intake on that unknown to me was illegal in the state of California. Vic and Oswaldo advised that the intake would have to be changed in order to get the car registered here in LA and smogged, while doing the intake they noticed the cel was on and did a full scan found out i had about 5 vaccuum leaks which would also cause my car to fail emissions/smog an oil seperator that was spraying oil everywhere and a sparkplug that began to arc and had a crack on the porcelain. After a few days Vic the magician he is had all parts ordered i brought the car to him on one leg (quite literally) . 8 hours later i have a brand new car with Audi R8 coil packs brand new plugs and breather hoses oh and i forgot to mention my TURBO actually started to spool for the first time in about 6 years. Piece of advice is dont use a mechanic your comfortable with find yourself a mechanic like the guys at Eurowurx who are damn well Comfortable around your Volkswagen. Cannot stress this enough! I've decided to go ahead and update my review for Eurowurx to 5 stars because of how far out of the way Vic and his crew go to answer questions about car-related items, as well as their attention to detail when working with your car. Taking some advice from other reviewers here, I've found the best way to schedule an appointment is, in fact, to stop by for 5 minutes and talk to somebody. Granted, this may not always be an option for everyone, but since I live in relatively close proximity to Eurowurx, this isn't a problem for me. My favorite thing about this place is how willing they are to answer questions or inspect your car, even if it might not necessarily end in the purchase of parts or labor. I've been a Eurowurx customer since 2007. Here's the thing - Vic, the owner, is a super busy guy and it truly is a one-man operation. While some say that it's difficult to get an appt., it's because of the continuous stream of repeat customers and not always can he be accommodating when there's a line in front of you. At the same time, Vic is meticulous to a fault. Here are a few tips I will share based on experience: It's difficult to get an appt. so if you can't get anyone by phone, keep trying. If you're local, stop by and make an appointment. He'll either be on a test drive, wrapping up with a customer or underneath one of his customer's cars (you'll see all this for yourself). Next, be patient. There are folks who drive from out-of-state just to have their cars serviced by him. The way I see it, it's very rare to find someone who's both honest and reasonable. It's hard to find a mechanic you can trust and one that knows what he is doing while driving around Burbank and getting quotes from various car shops I drove by eurowurx and stopped to get a quote on a complete control arm job for my car . I was confronted by the shop owner Vic who unlike other shops asking me to leave the car insisted on showing me what was really going on with my control arms and explain to me what I needed was bushings only and not control arms like all other shops were telling me ! I recently bought a 2000 VW beetle and was looking for an expert mechanic shop who knows these cars. My friend recommended Vic's shop and I'm glad I came here. He did a bumper to bumper inspection of the car and made a list of whats needed to fix to get the car in good running condition. Vic is very honest and very knowledgeable. They did a great job, the car runs great, truly a 5 star service! I few days ago I saw some liquid on my rear tire thinking the brake line was leaking. So I went to Eurowurx to get my turbo muffler delete for my mk7 gti (I know its a useless mod, but this is just for me to make the first impression of the shop). I'm just gonna make this quick, Eurowurx is only 10 miles away from me so thats a plus considering the shop I regularly go to is 30 miles , the shop is small-ish, its composed of 2 small shops all together, the employees are chill and easy to talk with. Pricing is fair but it is much more cheaper than dealerships. BUT (this is the last one I promise) there are two things that really disappoint me: 1. Vic is knowledgeable of VAG cars, however he TALKS A LOT, He talked to me like as if im a little kid that knows nothing about European cars just because of how I look, and He is not so updated about other brands either, IE Armytrix, Akrapovic etc. 2. On 3/27 I called their shop and left a message asking for an estimate, till now he hasn't given me a call, oh well I guess Im not a valuable customer lol. I've gotta say. I've got a lot of love for this shop. Vic in particular. I was driving from the Bay Area to LA, and my BMW 325i overheated on the way down, so much so that several of my hoses snapped off. The water pump and thermostat were original on a 2006 car with 125K miles, so this was pretty inevitable. Vic took me in and rebuilt the cooling system. Prices were totally fair, and Vic did a great job of explaining every little thing they did and why. That gives you a ton of reassurance that you're not getting ripped off and that they're not unnecessarily cutting corners. If he had told me that there was motor damage, I would have believed him, but he was honest about it and said the motor was essentially fine. That kind of integrity is invaluable. Given that I live in the Bay Area, I probably won't have a chance to use Eurowurx again, but I wish these guys were my local shop. Can't recommend highly enough! read more

Found them on CarTalk.com and gave them a call. The guy I talked to on the phone seemed to know what he was talking about in regards to my Passat. I got a good feeling from him and told him I would call the schedule an appointment when work permitted. I ended up taking my car there for many needed items. Everything was repaired and a complete inspection done of my car as well. I had to go back for a second repair on my blower motor that was working intermittently. They ended up having to replace the blower motor. They had to jump through hoops to get one from a dealer as they don't go out very often and most of the local dealers didn't have one in stock. Vic, the owner, stayed late to get my car finished and picked up so I could have it for the weekend, much appreciated. I still have to get in there for my broken power door locks to be fixed, and I am sure they will do a good job. read more

I've been a customer at Euroworx for about 25,000 miles of my 2010 VW GTI. The first 50,000 miles were spent at the VW Dealership. Vic and his team have done their best to get what I need done (mainly oil changes, minor fixes, brake replacements) and I always drive away satisfied. The parts and labor fees are reasonable and definitely cheaper than the VW dealership. Vic is very accommodating to schedules and has worked with me on multiple occasions on extremely short notice. He has also been very honest on when he has to turn me away due to a high volume of cars, which I respect since I he won't waste my time with prolonged delayed completion times. Vic is a good guy and I highly recommend his shop. On a side note, there are some cafe's around the area (about a half mile walk) which I can hang out at if I have to wait for longer periods of time. read more

I have a 2004 A4 Avant and the timing belt needed replacing. Getting quotes from the dealer ranged anywhere in the mid 2K range. This was just for the timing belt and water pump. After some researching and Googling I found Eurowurx and decided to give them a try. Instead of finding a mechanic that was interested in just your money, I found an experienced mechanic that is passionate about what he does and more importantly honest with his customers. Vic provided me with a list of things that needed to be done but additionally he prioritiezed them so that we took care of ugent items first. I got the timing belt and water pump replaced in addition to other things that needed attention for well under what I was quoted by the dealer for just the timing belt and water pump. He also gave some valuable tips on how to maintain my car so that it will last a lifetime. he used to work for Audi and knows the ins and outs of Volkswagen and Audi. I've owned all VWs and have been to a lot of shops in my life. I just moved to California, so this was my first experience with Euroworx. It was easily the best experience I've had at a shop in almost every way. Vic communicates well AND probably knows your car better than you do, so I immediately felt confident about making an appointment, and felt equally confident/comfortable through the entire process. If there's anything I could possibly complain about, the shop seems somewhat hectic. Vic has to run back and forth between things, but that's understandable. I get why some people who come in thinking they deserve Four Seasons-level attention leave less than perfect reviews, but that's kind of a ridiculous expectation. The tradeoff to it is that you get to talk to the owner directly, who speaks clearly and to-the-point and charges very fair prices for his level of service and expertise. Vic (the owner) and Co are stand up guys. I used to take both of my VWs there for years and have turned a couple of guys I work with to Eurowurx. They know their stuff and charge fair prices for regular service, transmission/engine work, and performance upgrades. Vic is a funny dude to talk to as well. I almost miss not having a Volkswagen to break down on me just so I can hear the funny stuff that comes out of his mouth. I remember when I was talking to him about buying a BMW, and he said, "If you want to keep paying me money, then buy a Beamer. BMW, Bring My Wallet." They are a VW, BMW, Audi shop, but I have only had repair service for VWs. They always seem to know what's going on with a VW based on your description of the problem. I need to preface this review with a disclaimer: I didn't have any mechanical work done on my car. What I did do is bring a 2000 Audi A6 2.7T that I had just bought to Vic to get an estimate on various maintenance and repair work that I wanted done (timing belt, oil change, and new spark plugs). While waiting in the office, I heard Vic on the phone with another customer. His explainations of the vehicles problems were straightforward, clearly stated, and not pushy. He outlined the areas that really needed immediate attention, and why. He encouraged the owner to come and take a look first hand so that they fully understood the issues. I was immediately very impressed with this guy.... Star #1. As he started taking a look at my car, he immediately noticed that the check engine light was not on when the keys were first turned on (I was about to point this out when he saw it... star #2). He explained that this means that the bulb was either burned out, or (more likely) that it was intentionally removed to make it look like there were no issues with the car (... I know that too, but this was worth star #3). He mentioned that the smog check should have caught this. What I expect really happened was that the [insert your favorite expletive here] that I bought it from had paid the smog check extra to pass the car (which is illegal, so I'm looking into what I can do to expose that later). For those of you that are paying attention, I agree that I was an idiot to not have noticed the light when buying the car... I should have known better. He decided to hook up to the OBD (on-board diagnostics) port to see what codes were stored in the computer. What followed was a 5 page print out of various codes and errors that amounted to a lot of work. A less honest shop owner would have simply quoted a price to fix the items, and went about their business. Vic, however took the time to explain that I would likely have to put more money into the car than I paid for it in the first place, just to get it running properly! This was primarily due to the transmission issues uncovered during this scan. Apparently what I thought was the engine misfiring due to old plugs was actually the transmission torque convertor randomly unlocking. Unfortunate for me, but good for stars #4 and #5 for Vic. After all of this, he just wished me good luck, and didn't even charge for the diagnostics! Star #6. Based on the level of professionalism displayed by Vic and the rest of the guys at the shop, I would expect that the quality of the work is top notch. Unfortunately, 5 stars is the maximum, so I owe you one, Vic. Thanks. read more

I had taken my Volkswagen to get tuned with Vic. Everything went smoothly and he offered a very reasonable price as well. When I got the car it was running flawlessly for 3 days until I was on the freeway and the transmission failed. I towed it back to eurowurx and once Vic recognized the issue he had it towed to Volkswagen. At the end of the day he saved me from a $6,000 dollar transmission repair. This man only does honest work, and goes beyond anybody's expectations. If you have a Volkswagen, Audi, or even a bmw take it to Vic at eurowurx. You will not be disappointed. read more

Recently, I stopped by through recommendation to do some modifications to my car. UPDATED 4/2/15: 5 Stars. Vic called me personally to rectify my concerns. He took time out of his weekend to talk over with me everything I had and could need for my car. When I picked it up, the intake is now more secure than ever before. I'm pretty sure I'd lose my suspension before this thing came loose. :) there was no charge for the fix up and he even paid for my ride to and from his shop. 5 stars and I will be going back. ----- I regretfully feel the need to write this review. I took my new S3 to Vic and crew for a few modifications. Over the phone, he was very friendly and knowledgeable about everything Audi/VW. I had his team install an APR Carbon intake, ECS wheel spacers and some ceramic brake pads to reduce dust. Everything was great except the intake. Vic informed me when I picked up the vehicle that APR can sometimes have fitment issues, and that the intake did not sit exactly right. Upon further inspection, and after contacting a few people including APR about how their install went on their S3s, I determined that there in fact should not be any fitment issues, but that there appeared to be a plastic tab broken off which is responsible for securing the intake. After giving it a couple weeks, I decided it wasn't right, and called Vic back to see if there was anything he could do and also to inquire about some H&R Sport springs. Twice I was told I would receive a call back. The first time I had to call them back. The second time I did not bother. I'm not chasing them down to buy parts. I also suspect that they may have damaged something during installation of the intake. I am more than willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and a shot to make amends, but if I don't even receive a call back, I must move on. In addition, they never called me to pickup my car the first time I took it there. I had to show up when they closed hoping it was done. 3 stars because I'm sure on better days they provide great service. And Vic is surely knowledgeable. Follow up would be great. read more

Vic is an amazing mechanic and business man. I came in to get my car APR tuned as they are a licensed dealer. Vic not only gave me the best price out of multiple shops around the LA area but managed to reassure me through all stages as I have been talking to him about it for over 2 months. During the tuning stage (took a full day) he constantly called me to check in and update with ie. warning lights, other misc. things that could possibly pop up and also did a complimentary inspection of my car while it was on the lift. After all said and done, he even managed to save me a few bucks which is a plus because the initial quote was overestimated. Overall, if you want a honest, hardworking, genuine shop owner come do business with him as he will never disappoint! I've been researching and looking for a shop that can do an APR tune on my VW GTI. I gave Vic a call and instantly knew his shop was the place to go. He knows his stuff and is very helpful in giving a quote and other options as far as bolt ons go. I scheduled a appointment for the next week. Showed up and Mario took care of my car and took it straight to the garage to do my tune. Eurowurx has all the Neuspeed and APR bolt ons and accessories you need. I plan on going back in a couple weeks to do my stage 2 tune. My car was done in just under an hour. Mario took me on a drive and showed how to tune increased the power on my car. Looked for an alternative to usual Audi Stealership...I mean Dealership. Had wife take Audi to Vic. Small place that was difficult for her to navigate into. He helped to do so. Anyhow, I would definitely go back. He was honest in assessing my car for 25 K service and much more affordable than the dealer. He spotted a coolant leak and said he has worked at dealer before. Luckily this was under warranty so took back to dealer for them to correct that part. I'll definitely return for my 30 or 35K service.
