We are more than happy we did. It was an incredible experience with Denise. From the start, she was clear, responsive, and super helpful in guiding us through all the shoot options (which can be overwhelming when you want to do all the cute things). She gave great advice on styling, answered our questions quickly, and made sure everything stayed on schedule. The shoot itself was smooth, calm, and honestly kind of fun, which is saying something with a newborn and a toddler. Denise and her assistant (a Stanford nurse!) were total pros. Our baby slept peacefully through 6 or 7 outfit changes, and our toddler stayed engaged thanks to Denise's patience, humor, and a well-timed feather boa. She has an amazing eye for detail and an endless stash of props. One of our favorite shots is our baby nestled in a giant glove she pulled out on the spot. The setups were adorable, the baby bits close-ups melted our hearts, and the final gallery? Just wow. Everything was delivered exactly on time, including a sweet video montage. She was very patient and gentle with our newborn * The shots she came up with are super creative * The quality of the photos was superb (we got canvas prints) * Michelle's photo editing skills are fantastic -- we had multiple photos that were "OK" but after some light editing they came out amazing The bad * Very expensive. Be ready to pay (I won't say how much exactly, but for us, on the order of $1000's) * The turnaround time for the photos was quite long. We took our photos in September and we didn't receive the prints until December. Apparently she went on vacation in between but we were unaware of this. This is unacceptable. We're paying top dollar for these photos, so I'm going to expect quality (which she delivered on) and a reasonable timeline for the service. * The packages are kind of ridiculous. For example, we bought canvas prints for a bunch of photos (that cost us a hefty sum for each). We wanted digital copies of each of those photos as well, but we took a hard pass; it would've cost us an additional $100-150 for each digital! We're paying top dollar for the prints, why can't the digitals be included? Overall I am happy because the photos came out great, but next time I'll be doing more research and shopping around more.
