I took my convertible here and they claimed to have fixed it within a few hours and charged me 200 which I was ok with. After inspecting to make sure the top worked right I found that it didn't. The worker claimed he tested it several times and it was fine. I ended up having to leave it and they had it for 3 weeks saying they could never figure out the issue and they couldn't get in touch with the guy that was working on it. Looking at the area and workers I can see why. Once I finally picked up my car my back window didn't work and more my hydraulic pump leaks fluid. I'm pissed and should have never left my car there because now I'm fixing issues I never had before taking it there SMH... Save yourself time and money, taking it to a professional shop. read more

Had a car interior reupholstered there, and they lost the back seat! It was a classic car and they never owned up to it until 4 months later, when they were confronted on why the car wasn't done yet when it was supposed to have been done within 2 weeks. It was found, but car was not done for 4 months. Also it's in a really bad part of town with drug addicts and prostitutes harking their wares in front. I took 3 seat cushions for our boat in to this place. Was promised them in 1 week. I received ZERO calls from them and had to keep calling and calling just to find out ANY information, and half the time all I got was, "He's out to lunch, call back in an hour." So long story short, 6 weeks later, no cushions, and the vinyl is still sitting in the EXACT same place it was when we came in a week ago and were promised it'd be done today. We're taking our business elsewhere. Addendum: To top it all off, my husband just went to get our original cushions back so we could take them elsewhere....and they can't find them. Brought a custom convertible conversion I did in to get wrapped here. Remember them actually doing these complete jobs themselves back in the day. So I trusted then to do my custom convertible canvas top. To put it frank you get what you pay for. Good isn't cheap or fast and Fast us the good if you go cheap. Went in yesterday to bring in some golf cat seats to be reupholstered and when i got to the counter a middle aged woman with a tacky chest tattoo behind the counter was texting, she clearly heard me come in and i stood in front of her and she didn't acknowledge me for a good 45 seconds while she finished her huge text message. She the said "ya?" With Attitude and continued to answer my questions in a tone like i was wasting her time. I finally asked how long she thought it would take and she picked up a stack of $20 bills and rolled them up in a rubber band like a drug dealer then picked up a pile of mail and started looking through it completely ignoring me as i stood there like and idiot. I finally got fed up and said never mind and walked out. This is why small business is becoming extinct and its terrible shame. read more

I had my 1981 Datsun 210 completely reupholstered. Seats, carpets, visors, headliner, everything. They did such an amazing job. The car looked liked new. I would most definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs upholstery. read more

Place is a complete dump. Seats and upholstery and car parts stack 5 feet high in the whole shop and office area. Don't try to get anything reupholstered. Promised a seat would be done in a few days. Two weeks later it's not even touched. Don't try to call either to check on whatever you need reupholstered. You'll just get an "I don't know I just answer the phone". Complete waste of time. Recently contacted this business for some work I needed on two cars, they kept on stringing me along missing appontments to see the vehicles - i lost a week waiting on them. They might do good work, and seem to be nice people...but definately not responsible or reliable...would have hated to take my cars and have delt with missed deadlines after the fact... The only reason why I went to Evans for service is I had some work done there before and I was very pleased with the results. That was about 5 years ago so I guess over time their service has gone down. I had a small area of my headliner starting to hang so I wanted to get it re-glued before it got worse. After two days it became unglued, I took it back and the owner was accusing me of pulling the material down when I was showing him how it didn't stick. His advice was to get the whole headliner replaced because that small area the material is too thin to re-glue. I said well if it couldn't be re-glued the young man should have told me that instead of taking my money. I asked for a refund and he said I would have to come back the next day for my $25 back. I didn't appreciate the way he was talking to me, very disrespectful and what kind of business don't have $25 for a refund!!! read more

I was first told 4 days, then another 5, then another week. Still wasn't ready. 18 days total, & numerous trips to the shop because they don't answer the phone. No stars period. Vehicle was in for the infamous twisted seat syndrome known well to BMW owners. Was told sure it would be a easy fix one day job. 4 days later, seat not repaired vehicle scratched and seat cover (controls) broken. Don't lie if you cannot complete a repair and don't lie and say your mechanic had to leave early when confronted, don't lie and say your mechanic had to order parts. . I had a tear in the leather seat of my car and wanted the seats repaired. I checked a few places and was told it would be hundreds of dollars for just one seat. I was not amused by these high prices. I had heard this place mentioned and thought I would see if they would have any better deals. I knew I was not going to get ripped off when the gentleman I spoke with mentioned both leather and vinyl as options and then told me the vinyl would be more durable over time. I had encountered individuals from other businesses who tried to steer me to more costly options, so pointing me in the direction of something that was not only the more affordable option, but giving me the options and telling me of the lower maintenance and more durable option was a major selling point for me. Another thing I appreciated was the cost. It was a fraction of what other places charged. I dropped off my car at 8 a.m. and both seats were completed that day and I picked it up at the end of the day. I was extremely satisfied with their quality of work. It was very well done and my vehicle's seats looked like those of a brand new vehicle and to the naked eye, one can not tell the difference between the leather seat and the vinyl seat. I won't lie-- I was a bit intimidated by the area and it did almost deter me. I was scared during the day-- but they have a gate around their business, so my vehicle was secure while there and it all worked out for the best. I forgot my fears of the area when I saw the quality of their finished product. I would go back again and recommend their work. It may not have been a fancy establishment, but I felt like I was given a great deal and did not in any way feel like I was being ripped off. Great deal and quality of service. Very poor customer service ! They tell you they will have the vehicle done a certain day and then they don't. I dropped of a 2013 Jeep Patriot white in color on Wednesday, May 27, 2020. The owner "JAVIER" told me they would have it ready by Friday Afternoon which I agreed because I needed to have the car in the auction by Friday night for Saturday's sale. Well I ended up paying a staging fee for the vehicle and lost that amount because they couldn't keep their word. Anyways I texted the number back multiple times asking them what's going on and if the vehicle was ready. They didn't respond even though they read the messages which tells you on an iPhone when someone has "read recipient on". They finally responded and apologized for the inconvenience and said they would have it ready by Monday, May 29, 2020. Which they didn't. They kept giving me the run around. I contacted them again today June 03, 2020 in the morning and they finally got back to me this afternoon and again apologized and said they wouldn't have it ready for a couple of more days. I don't understand how a company can give you a certain day and then keep postponing it. By the way I called the shop and an employee answered and he said the SUV hasn't even been started on. This place was recommended to me from a friend although they heard they did good work. ..boy were they wrong .this place aside from being in a very scary area it seems like they take on more work than they can handle I've noticed while I was waiting for something that I took to be done the people that came in there were always upset when they left because they were promise they would have their projects done by certain dates never did also constant arguing everytime I walk in there to check on my stuff that I was having done there even I was giving several different days from when my car would be done. I have never had the problems I'm having with this body shop. I went for a sun roof repair & there was problem after problem. Finally completion day, two weeks later I decided to open my sun roof before leaving for Las Vegas & it wouldn't close. I take the car back to find out it was installed wrong the gears were chewed up. Bobby than tells me I have to leave my car for 3 days so he can return the part at which time the company will issue another one. Now I will be left without transportation for three days, can't go to work, plus this place is in a very bad neighborhood & my Hummer will be left on the lot without a roof...NO WAY.
