After years of going down the hill for my tires, I thought I would make it easy on myself and try Big O in Evergreen since I have new drivers. I buy new tires regularly because of switching out snow tires. Most importantly, customer service was mediocre, didn't seem to value the business. Seemed annoyed that they were busy. I want a place I can send my kids and know they'll be taken care of. Secondly, they were very expensive. I'll be taking my business back down the hill at Discount Tire. I found myself back at Big O Evergreen this month with two of my family cars. I have been coming here since the early 2000's when Richard was the owner, before his son Russell took over the business. I can tell you that the vibe was very different when Richard ran the store. Richard was very friendly and hands on, he made everyone feel cared for and we were loyal to the business because of him. In the many years since the ownership changed, my #1 complaint continues to be the attitudes of the more senior advisors. They never look up from the computer or pause an "employee to employee" conversation to simply nod their heads in acknowledgement of your arrival. Every time I come in the door, I feel like I am bothering them. Its very uncomfortable to not be greeted by anyone when you enter the door. If and when, I do bring vehicles here, and not the dealership, I try to deal with any newer advisors who are not as arrogant and entitled as the more senior advisors. The ONLY time I feel like an advisor wants to be friendly is when they explain all the $$$$ additional work your vehicle needs, (in addition to the oil change and tire rotation you came in for.) I typically wait for my vehicles and watch the same behaviors from the employees with everyone coming through the door. FYI: I'm friendly, polite and low maintenance, I don't believe that I am the cause of these sourpuss employee attitudes. Additionally, its also a little annoying to have been coming here for so long and never any acknowledgement of your decades long loyalty to the business. At this point, I'd be happy with some eye contact and a smile. I haven't seen Russell here in years, so I imagine the employees just do what they want. I'm not sure who the store manager is, but they need someone like Linda back to keep everyone accountable and striving for excellent customer service. Due to the large volume of business they do, the business can afford to revamp some of the telephone traffic, supply procurement, ticket processing (to more behind the scenes) and let the front of house advisors focus on customer service. Additionally, my elderly mom, who uses portable oxygen, regularly has trouble parking. The designated handicap spot is typically used to park cars waiting for service. I hope the business will acknowledge this and keep that one space open for its intended purpose. read more

Found myself with a flat and without the wheel lock key. I hated that I couldn't fix the problem myself, but Ira and the team a Big O simply welcomed me in and took care of the problem. I was able to take a few work calls while they patched the tire and then gave me a quote to replace them in the near future. It was one of those experiences where I felt seen, although it was one of the last places I'd expect to be seen. Ira recognized my frustration and not only took care of business but reflected back to me "the boss" he saw me being while I took care of business in their waiting room. I blew a tire 10 minutes into a 14 hour drive. I informed them the urgency of the situation, and they said they could finish my car in two hours. Four hours passed by and three people who came in after me had their cars fixed - in and out the door within a couple hours. Whenever I asked again when they could start, the man at the counter told me they would be bringing my car into the shop "any minute". After 30 minutes I called fireside about 1.5 miles away. They saved me nearly $80 on my tire WITH a warranty. I told them about my situation and they got my car in IMMEDIATELY - the manager helped the mechanics and was very kind. The employees at Big O tires are robotic, unsympathetic, and indifferent. They made absolutely no effort to help me in a tough situation and they lost about $200 because of that (not to mention I would have returned frequently as I live in a small town and often have to commute to maintain my car). I highly recommend going anywhere else in town - unless you like being mislead, over charged, and ignored. I am local about an hour away - had they helped me out in a timely manner as they said they would (more than once) I would have returned EVERY TIME I need new tires or maintenance. Hope the right person sees this so they can improve their business. These people completely ruined my day. read more

While driving out from Denver to the mountains our tire pressure light came on. We checked the pressure and everything seemed right but we were concerned and wanted to to be checked out. They took our car as a walk in on the spot, they checked the car for free. Already a score! Then they informed us the tire had a nail in it and when I asked to pay over the phone prior to pick up they said, 'no charge?' He got me an appointment for that same day, so I could beat the snowstorm! The front desk guys were friendly and helpful, and they got me in an out of there with a set of new tires installed, in just around an hour. EXTREMELY pleased. My wife hit something and blew out a tire. I went to BigO for repair. Since the other 3 tires were near end of life, I had them put on 4 new tires. I asked that they also do an oil, filter and lube. 5-stars for work on the tires. They replaced them - submitted warranty claims for the road damage and worked me into their already busy schedule. 1-star for the oil change. The tech forgot to put the cover back on the oil filler hole. Halfway home the oil pressure light came on. Pop'd the hood and saw oil all over the engine. Had my wife been driving she may not have noticed the warning light and driven the engine until it seized. They sent someone to temporarily plug the filler hole so I could get back to their store for permanent fix. I've been to Big O many times with great service so hope this was a rare exception. read more

He researched the problem I had been having with my brakes and rotors wearing out prematurely and found many other owners of my car (Subaru Ascent) having the same issue. He was able to propose a strong solution which he gave me free of another brake job charge because he knew what was happening to my car wasn't right and because he values his customers so much. 6/23: Chris the manager made things right. But it's a 50/50 chance at this place. Specifically, there are two service advisors that don't know what they are doing and have no customer service skills. I hope to go back when/if those two have been replaced. 6/22 update: came back (not sure why) for brakes last week. They talked me into upgrading my rotors. So I spent $750 on new "ultra duty" rotors. ONE WEEK LATER I'm back with vibrations. "Sorry no warranties." ONE WEEK!! I'll be calling the BBB and leaving as many honest reviews as possible. Mistakes are one thing, fraud is another. I'm not sure I ever even got new rotors that I paid for. Lawsuit anyone? read more

They were in stock, I was offered a very good and reasonable price and I then made an appointment. They said it would take one hour. Well, it took less than 45 minutes, including their 22 point checklist for additional systems. The checklist was detailed and options for service offered, including the price. I have been a customer of Big O's several times over the years and always had exceptional and fast service and will certainly be a return customer. I was very happy with the service, pricing, and social distancing. The one thing I would improve is the service time. I had an appointment and it still took 1.5 hours to replace one tire that I had pre-ordered the week before. Good karma credit: they didn't try to coerce me into buying two tires so they would balance correctly, like a lot of tire retailers do. I told them my new flat tire was almost new and they found the exact same tire. Big O, if I am being unrealistic, send me a message explaining why and I will happily revise my review. read more

Edit just to clarify that this definitely happened at this store, on December 18, 2021. The reservation was under my husband's name. My first (and now it will be the only for sure) visit to Big O was on a Saturday, with an appointment that was recommended since we were told they were so busy during the week. I dropped the car off at 8:00 AM (with an appointment!) To fix a leak in one of the tires. They were nice and friendly, but I was annoyed to be told that it would literally take all day for them to get this fixed. Kind of makes me wonder what the purpose of the appointment was. Finally was told to come back around 4:30, and was told that they couldn't fix the leak- it was in a weird spot that couldn't be patched. This was fine- not their fault. I was annoyed that when after putting on the full sized spare, that threw the other tire in the backseat- might have been nice to get that put where it's supposed to be while they had it up on the jack. I mean, it's our family car. All of this was annoying, but I could have probably gotten over it. The unforgivable part was the pitch at the end. We were told that the tread was looking pretty thin and that we should probably look at getting a new set of 5 tires (the four on the car and the full sized spare). Our car is less than a year old, has less than 10K miles on it. It hasn't even had its 10K service with a tire rotation.... Which means that the full sized spare had literally never even touched a road- curious as to how that tread got all that wear? And, if these tires were so worn (they're not), maybe suggest replacing.... Wait for it....One of them instead of five. I'm not a mechanic, but I'm also not an idiot. Oh, and the icing on the cake- they somehow also messed up the exhaust pipe- it was complete loose when we took it back to the dealer.... Who rotated our tires, fixed the exhaust pipe, and sold us 1 new tire. I'm glad that some people have good experiences here, but our family and our cars won't be back! read more
