It was ok, nothing more nothing less. Extensive breakfast menu which was no longer being served by the time we got there. Limited veggie options but pizza is always a veggie friendly choice and the pizza was better than I thought it would be. Terrible service. Waitress was taking everyone's drink orders and food orders expect ours. We waited 15 minutes total and walked out!!!

It was raining and our work crew decided to take a break and have breakfast. Never been there before but I drive past it daily. The menus are just plain typed out on plain paper and laminated. Nothing fancy. Tables and chairs are plain as well. It is kept clean even though it is an old building. Don't let the worn linoleum floor scare you away. That just means there's traffic which is a good sign. Now to the food... I had the Kitchen Sink omelet without Green Peppers. It came with American-style potatoes which looked hand cut and your choice of White, Wheat, Rye toast or English Muffin. I think it was about $9.50. It was the most expensive thing on the breakfast menu (if I remember correctly.) While I wanted the special of the day Cinnamon Roll Waffles, my blood sugar levels would have spiked to new heights and I would have been asleep in 15 minutes. Our server was very nice and she did a great job making sure our group of 7 always had our drinks full and our orders were correct. One of our group, who doesn't get out much, decided to spill his water all over the table. Our server was right on it and was very gracious. It was as though she was used to serving toddlers all day long and spills were no big deal. When the 3 egg omelet was placed in front of me, I could tell right away this was not a standard bland omelet. (I was a short-order breakfast cook for a prominent mom-and-pop coffee shop so I know what a good omelet looks and tastes like) The first thing I noticed where the sliced tomatoes that were cooked within the omelet and not just diced and thrown inside. The smoked ham and sausage were also cooked into the egg. It had mushrooms, onions, cheese, and I can't remember what else. Everything had a savory flavor and you could taste the ingredients. Not like the rubber omelets you get at a chain restaurant. I couldn't stop eating it. I had to force myself to slow down and enjoy it. it's like I was afraid someone was going to take it from me. I really wanted another one. So, if you are into good food and service and aren't worried about the way the place looks (But it's clean), this is the place you need to go. I'm sure if we went a couple of more times, they would know our names and adopt us into the family. When I drive by it now, I'm trying to find an excuse to go back. I don't understand how chain restaurants that serve blah food remain busy while these mom-and-pop places where you can taste the love in their food have empty seats. Anyways... if you want a great place to have a good breakfast at a more than fair price, and be treated as though you are special, I would highly recommend Evan's. Great spot to absorb the local culture. The waitresses are knowledgeable in the whole environment is very casual. Good home cooking.

I ordered a Turkey Club, what I got was a very cold Turkey Sandwich on a stale dry croissant with a tomato that was at the point of being bad (so watery like jelly) no mayo and some stale potato chips. read more

Just nasty. I get that it is cheap, but those sausage patties were squirted out of a meat packing plant full of more fillers than meat. The eggs were over medium as requested, so it's not the cook-- it's the actual food that is clearly being purchased on the cheap. Don't bother. Save the calories. read more

We love this place. A great little "local dive" with good food, good service, and good prices. I love the French toast and bacon! They are open on Sunday mornings. We live in Middlebury, and we often take our out of town guests there before putting them on the tollway to drive home. read more

Great cafe! The Chicago Eatery is connected. We stopped for lunch after visiting the RV/MH Hall of Fame Museum. Doesn't look like much but the food was really good, good portions, great price, quick friendly service! We had the Philly Steak, coney dogs, grilled tenderloin sandwich ( with tomato, lettuce, mayo), and the brisket sandwich on special. Everyone enjoyed their meal. read more

Wow! A lucky find on a road trip! Great burgers, fresh, amazing buns, tomatoes and lettuce. All fresh (as it should be - but doesn't always happen!). We had the potato soup - totally home made, and tasty but light. The onion rings and onion petals were fresh and homemade with a yummy sauce they make in- house that has a kick of horseradish. We were too full for dessert. The best part was the great service! read more

Try their western burger if you want to fill up, as I do and other dishes as you wish. Don't go there for the decor, go there for the food and you will never be sorry and the prices are great. I'm only giving them a 4 star because, I order fries and they only give me few of them for 1.99. I mean if I'm going to pay $2 for them I should get the right amount for the price. read more

Great place for breakfast and lunch. Very nice staff! I love their turkey club - huge sandwich! Everything is very fresh and reasonably priced. Doesn't look like much from the outside - just a small town diner- but definitely give this place a chance! They have daily specials and I've never had anything there I didn't like. read more
