Arrived at 7:30 am AND called a day before. Three people ahead of me. I purchased 4 tires, was told it would be an hour . Three customers before me have left. It is 9:15 am AND I'm still waiting for tires to be put on my car . I opened a charge card with Evans to receive discount. Credjt line was approved for$4,000. Mechanic then told me I needed shocks and other repairs . Lies, my mechani stated I didn't. Once you open a charge card, they tell you, you need extra repairs. Evans Tire - Had 2 new tires installed. - Tires Near Me - Escondido, California

Took our car there about a month ago to get a set of tires and they said we needed complete replacement of all suspension parts as well as a front end alignment, so we allowed them to go ahead with the tires and repairs.(Nearly $4,000 worth). However just about one month later my wife stopped by after work and took our car in for a (tapping) noise or harmonic noise which seem to emanate from somewhere near the rear of the transmission area under the car and ask them to diagnose it. To which they claimed the there was some broken bolt and if it dislodged the wheels could turn suddenly causing a dangerous situation. She drove the car home and shortly after I got a phone call that they wanted to pick it up because it was too dangerous to drive. When I got in town after work I went to the shop and had them point out what they considered needed repairs. So their story changed to the bushings on the front stabilizers we're bad and they needed to replace all the stabilizer bushings as well as the kingpins, (and quoted $3,800) and I have the email from them that shows photos and documents of all their claims, so I asked to see what was wrong and after reviewing it I pointed out that their diagnosis was completely wrong. The salesman continue to argue with me and questioned my knowledge and experience. (I typically have done all my own work for the last 40-plus years as well as heavy equipment repair since I am in that business, but just didn't have time to work on the car). So I told him I wouldn't make a decision until the next day which I had planned on taking the car to an independent shop; after leaving the car there they contacted me and wanted to know if I was going to pick it up and I told them no. So they called me and brought the car back to my house. I took the front wheels off and found that the upper A-Arms bushings were bad and did not get replaced during the initial front end alignment that I paid for. The next business day I contacted the corporate office who put me in touch with the regional manager and after explaining to him what is wrong he said to take the car back and get the front end parts replaced which again was wrong. Then I contacted a reputable independent shop and had them do their own diagnostics, they correctly identified a rubber boot near the front of the drive shaft that was somewhat torn and just making contact with the bottom of the car as the car drove. (It was a few hundred dollar repair). Also they discovered the upper "A" arm bushings that needed replacing and should have been caught on the original front end alignment at Evans. I do not recommend this shop and point it out that their salesman was continuing to claim he had many years of experience and knew how to repair cars. PS , my wife didn't trust him from the word go and has a good sense of people being honest or not. I believe they try to upsell everyone who walks in the front door especially those who don't have mechanical knowledge or experience and can't afford to be taken advantage of. And I will testify to this under oath. I believe Evans and their salesman owe me in a written apology and should pay for the correct repairs on my vehicle, as well as that salesman needs a different job. read more

I went to this location to get a tire (bought at evans) repaired and they told me my tires were six years old and they wouldn't fix it. They wanted me to buy new tires. Treadware indicators are good to go. I took it next door to Discount and they repaired the tire for free. I'll be buying my next set of tires from Discount. read more

I had a slow leak in my Tires that I needed to have repaired. Took it to a place where I had previously bought tires for my wife's car. They told me that the tire was not repairable. They also told me that I needed four new tires, not just one or two. OK, tires only go so far, but they provided only one option, and an expensive one at that. So, off I went to check out Evans Tire, where I encountered great service, and... options. These guys gave me three price levels and the pros and cons. Ultimately, they were 40% less expensive than what I would have spent at the other place. Great service advisors and a quick in and out. Came here to get an oil change and I was actually squeezed in last min. I very much appreciated that. They looked busy! I was helped by Cesar and his demeanor was friendly and approachable. Being not as educated in auto and anything that has to do with maintenance and repair can be intimidating. I was in about 815 and left at 920ish. I had to leave in a rush so I didn't get to thank Cesar appropriately for assisting me so hopefully this review will make it to him. They recommended some repairs which seem expensive but I don't know what the going labor rate is anywhere else is. I had to call back and I spoke with Mike and he patiently explained the quote so that I understood the parts and description. I ultimately did not buy my tires there, but I went in to have my tires rotated and a flat fixed. They would not rotate my tires or fix the leaking front tire because of the wear pattern and least of tread. It made sense but I like to do my research so I went to a couple other places and they said the same thing on that day that's what I needed. Most is to have the tires rotated and properly aired, and the leak fixed. It was a week later when I saw a sale at discount tires in San Marcos. I went there, but I thought about going back to Evans to see if they had any sales on tires of brands. I might know, but it ended up that I just stayed at discount tire but they were right on the money and very friendly. read more

Horrible Experience with Lino. I made an appointment by phone the day before(11/4/25) for tires and front end inspection. Jonathan confirmed the tire size was in stock. I show up before my 9am appointment to check in. Lino was working the counter. He tells me there's no quote in the system, just the appointment. He checks my car and returns. He said he would need to charge me $240 to inspect the front end, which they did for free at Evan's San Marcos. He said they quoted you the wrong size...(I thought there was no quote?) and the only one he had in stock that size was a more expensive model. I asked what the tire quoted was? It was the correct brand and model I asked for, but the wrong size was quoted. Lino then states the tire I wanted isn't even made by the company I wanted. I told him that wasn't true and showed him a screenshot from the Evan's site with the tire in the size I needed. Lino said, well I can't get that. I responded not being able to get it is different than, they don't make it. At this point I said that's the third time you've lied to me, give me my keys back. I told him he was full of it as I walked towards the exit. Lino said get out, I responded I'm obviously leaving and I'm going to call management, Lino said, I am the manager, I said hopefully not for much longer. I called customer service from the parking lot. While speaking with customer service Lino came out to me in the parking lot multiple times badgering me to come back inside. I told him I was on the phone with customer service and to leave me alone, he continued, the customer service rep apologized for Lino's behavior and she contacted the RVP(Regional Vice President). The CS Rep referred me to another Evan's in San Marcos. I spoke with Brian who is AWESOME! While I'm on the phone with Brian, Lino comes out again to harass me, I tell him I'm on the phone which is obvious and I'll talk to him when I'm done. Brian confirms the tire and size I wanted is available and he can have it shipped next day from their Orange County warehouse. I go back inside to Lino, he explains something about the tire I wanted is exclusively made for Evan's and no other company has access to their brand. Lino then shows me his computer screen showing they're not available anywhere, not even from his warehouse. I looked at him and said you're lying again, I just spoke with Brian at Evan's San Marcos, he can have them tomorrow from the OC warehouse. Lino then says that's a different company... I said no no no... you're lying again, you just told me those tires are manufactured exclusively for Evan's. I said you just can't help yourself, I'm out of here. I went to Evan's San Marcos and Brian gave me a much better tire for about $35 more out the door and inspected my front end at no cost. In my opinion Lino should be terminated. Oh, by the way.... A week later I'm still waiting for a call from the RVP, the customer service rep said I would receive one within 24-48 hrs. At this point, don't bother. read more

I had a bad flat and was heading out of town in less than a day - the car would have been sitting on the rim for some time before I returned (newer cars don't have spares). Asked about tire pricing and was quoted $1200+ for all 4, half that for 2. I decided to put just one on and replace all 4 after I returned and could do some research on which tires I wanted. Left the car and went home to find their pricing was $25-100 more than the highest competitor (x 4 would have been at least $100-400). Picked up the car and was asked to pay without seeing the invoice. I demanded to see the invoice before I paid, and yep, there was a $35 tire warranty on there I didn't ask for (nor did they even discuss the option with me). I drove home and inspected the tire - it was a 235/50 NOT a 235/55 which is what I paid for!!!! When I called them they argued it was correct and I told them I was looking at the tire and it wasn't what I paid for. Took it back again, watched them replace it and got lots of "oh, sorry." I asked for a partial refund and was told that the manager wouldn't be back until tomorrow and would call me. After the tire was replaced I asked for the new paperwork with the correct information, including the DOT number, and was told that they would give me a $100. That's nice, but now I feel I'm just closer to the amount they should have charged me originally! They wanted to give me the credit towards the new set of tires and I told them I couldn't trust them to do another thing to my car. Bottom line is that I feel they are padding their prices/services and are not doing a professional job like you'd expect them to do. After a while i stoped going to this location due to the poor costumer service they provided for me. Its been approximately 5 month since the last time i went to any evans tires, and as i was doing my own tire rotation i found visual damage to my rims when they would balance my tires. I would not suggest or recommend going to these inconsiderate manager and technicians. I will never ever recommend any family and friends to any evans tires was a costumer for 5+ years and all i got was poor costumer service and my rims jacked up. After i tried having them address this the first time i saw this they manager was rude and blamed it in me as i di my own tire balancing... then why the F am i paying you!!! Five stars for the staff running the desk and the excellent work performed. We've been customers here for a few years and have always been satisfied with the service. We use them exclusively for tires and alignment, they offer much more. They can get busy. My only tip is that you plan your maintenance ahead of time to eliminate any wait time you'd have if you are a walk in, or arrive first thing in the morning. If you've got a long wait, you're in a pretty good location. The garage is just two blocks away from the downtown Escondido stores/restaurants, and a half block away from grape day park. read more

The person on the phone was helpful and listened to me before telling me what might be best. He didn't pressure me to look at a more expensive tire. Well, I got taken this time by Evan's Tire. I've always trusted them. They've given me good deals on tires in the past. I had a flat tire a couple of weeks ago. I drove to Evan's on the spare. They sold me two new front tires. My Lexus has less than 60,000 miles on it, but they told me I needed to replace the front end suspension. Rather than get a second opinion, at the end of the day I allowed them to replace the part and paid them $1700. I so wish I'd gone to my regular mechanic. He told me he wouldn't have replaced the suspension for another 60,000 miles. I will never again give Evan's Tire my business. read more

I've gone here before and never had a problem, actually told the guy that scheduled the oil change I needed that this was a great branch - but all it takes is that one time to ruin it. I had a scheduled oil change and arrived 10 minutes early to check in and get squared away. The guy at the counter - didn't get his name but was middle aged, walked slow, and with a slight limp that day - said it would be a two hour wait. I mentioned I had the scheduled appointment and he said he needed the lifts for other things and it would be a two hour wait. If I end up being a no show or will be late for something, I call. All it would have taken was a phone call so I didn't drive there and waste my time, as I was apparently a waste of his. I told him to cancel my appointment, got in my car, and called Firestone. They had an opening in about an hour. They got me in as promised and provided great service. Sorry, Evans - not coming back there. Give your customers a heads up if you're going to put them on the back burner. read more

This place to go for all of your mechanical needs! I been going to them now for quite some time. Due to high prices at other places like the dealership. Evan tires has found a way to always keep my business and helped me save money and keep me coming back. Especially with my motor in which they helped me so much with! They were the only ones that were able to get me back on the road! After all the hassles that I had to go through with Toyota of Esco and the issues with the so called extended warranty that denied me! I was carless for almost 2 months in a half and well Evan's tire did everything to help me get my car fixed! My car needed some major work done and it got done and at a fair and reasonable price! They helped me save a lot of money! I can't say how happy I am that they took very good care of me and how sad that Toyota of Esco couldn't do what they did! However, things changed once I went back to evans! That goes to show that they are big on obtaining their customers and that they care for them too! Unlike Toyota! I'm so impressed! I got new tires and alignment services for my car. The alignment work wasn't done correctly. Thus I took it back for correction twice. First time, I was told that no mechanic was available to work on my car. I wanted to schedule a time for the fix, but the rep said only first come, first serve. I went back early in the morning for the second time. One of the rep said there were five cars ahead of me, so I waited. About 2.5 hours of waiting, I saw several cars were in and out. Thus, I approached the 2nd rep to find out why my car wasn't being serviced. I was surprised he told me there were 10 cars ahead of mine. Basically, any correction work would be low priority at this shop. I decided to leave since I didn't want to waste all day at the shop and still not getting answered exactly when they would work on my car. I would rather take my car somewhere else and pay again to correct their low quality work. Especially I didn't want to deal with their dishonest in customer service. read more

I went to the Escondido location late in the day hoping that they could squeeze me in to do a tire repair. I tried to have a family member do the tire repair but it didnt stick and was still losing air. Due to a previous accident i also didnt have my tire pressure monitoring system working due to the sensor being removed. José was really helpful in getting these things addressed right before they closed for the day. Now im not having to overinflate to be able to drive to work and back when i work 10 minutes from home. Worst experience. Brought in my BMW, gave them my tire model number and supposedly they ordered my tire however it was ordered Incorrectly. Turns out it was not a run flat. Waited for an hour when they decided to tell me they ordered the wrong tire. Considering all bmws have run flats and they should have knows that as a tire company. While you may save a couple of dollars on tires after negotiating the price, please be aware it comes at a high cost! Once your car is in their possession, they push and exaggerate the degradation of components or services they wish sell which in most cases they're not urgent or hazardous but if you're unfamiliar with the severity and nature of what's being represented, that will naturally concern you and force a premature and unexpected expenditure based on their suggestions. Not to mention a tremendously overpriced for initial estimate. For example, they started with an quote of $700 for two front rotors and pads. After my wife argued for a better price they went down to $520 when she called me with estimate I told her to deny the service. I did the brakes with superior pads and rotors for $225.00 I understand not everyone wants or is capable of wrenching but my point is the abuse. Again, everything they do is overpriced and negotiable but you have to work on it. It simply shouldn't be. They should operate in an honest and straight forward manner with reasonable pricing from the get-go. That's not all...My wife was there 4 hrs waiting for two front tires and alignment. When I learned this, I called them and gave them a mouthful and my wife was out in 10 minutes afterwards. Bottom line, gotta stay on top of these guys in every way. In almost all cases, you drive away unhappy for one reason or another. I've used them for years and it's always the same outcome, I'm done. Had an appointment this morning 6-27-2022. The staff in Escondido at Broadway was patient, understanding, and on top of their game. BIG thanks to Lavelle, and all crew. There were numerous Karens while I waited in lobbey. On the phone, I think 3? But that ONE in front of me was a complete, "piece of humanity". Constantly cutting in line, CONSTANTLY acting as though she knew better than a tire specialist. She took up more time "in line" than it would have taken to bust a tire, fit to rim, and let her go. Came for an oil change because they have a coupon for $50 for synthetic oil. Was told it'd be quick over the phone to come right in came right away 3 hours later received a call saying they were just starting and supposedly noticed other problems with the car despite my mechanic repairing/and letting me know not even a month again everything was fine. Finally got to pick up my car over 4hours later. 4hours for a a 15 min oil change ridiculous. Drove home and kept hearing a scraping noise when I got home noticed part of the cover had been pulled off and was scraping which is wasn't before I had to go back just for them to push it in not even screw it back on and send me away. Thought I'd save time by not driving to my usual mechanic in vista bad idea. Even with the coupon wouldn't recommend it. Heard them quoting such ridiculous prices/ and unnecessary jobs to other customers in there who came in for tires and other routine maintenance. And now I'm not sure if they tampered with or caused any other damage to my car will have to get my mechanic to look at it again read more

But they started to upsell us for more services and we do not bite, they marked it on their computer, they started marking up their prices and provide terrible services.
