We arrived to Studio Cafe April 5th, I have reservations for 10ppl, however 16ppl showed up , the only way to accommodate was to separate us.... the accommodate extra 6, would be at separate table! I was very disappointed with our experience. For the price, we expected a much better meal and overall experience. The food selection was limited, and both the crab and lobster were overcooked. The hosts also did a poor job explaining how the ticket system worked for the crab and lobster, which made the process confusing. The atmosphere wasn't what we expected and didn't feel particularly welcoming. When I requested prime rib, I was given a single slice that was smaller than my finger. I would have had to make six to eight trips just to receive what most people would consider a normal serving. Overall, the food was average at best and certainly not worth the $215 we spent. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. My fiancée found a December promotion on Instagram -- half off their buffet -- and after a little persistence getting someone on the phone to verify it, we were on our way. Let me be very clear: the drive was 100% worth it. From the moment we arrived, the entire experience felt elevated. The seating, the staff, the food, the live pianist, the atmosphere, even the other guests -- everything worked together to create one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. And the food... I absolutely gorged myself on that buffet, with zero regrets. From the main selections to the dessert station -- which featured authentic bananas foster -- every single bite was incredible. The quality, the presentation, the flavor -- all of it was just out of this world. Driving up to this place is an old school converted to an elegant upscale restaurant and buffet. So when you walk in the restaurant area I was first surprised and amazed my the ambience. Because the outside DOES not match the inside. The seating, atmosphere and the music is pleasant and relaxing. The staff is super friendly and pleasant. The food was really amazing. And they have crab legs with the buffet (which I don't eat) but it's included too. I also had the Lemon Drop Coctail, which was the best! They also had a cute little dessert bar that included the miniature sweet potato pie! That was eye rolling, lip smacking, slap the chef good! Overall I really enjoyed myself here. This is such a unique experience! My husband made a reservation for my birthday a couple of years back and we came in as a party of 4 adults and 2 tiny tots. All I knew was that we were going to brunch at a movie studio. Having no context for what a movie studio should look like, I wouldn't have known that part if I wasn't told. I believe this used to be an old high school that's been turned into a film production/school and a Restaurant. The dining area is in the old cafeteria. It's a buffet-style restaurant, and you get in line cafeteria style, choosing what you would like. Now this is where the comparison stops between the old high school and what's there now. This isn't the high school cafeteria food because the food here is good. The dessert is definitely good. But I do wish there were more options. Now it can get busy during lunch, but there's plenty of room and the parking lot is huge. read more

I visited the Studio Café on a Saturday evening with my family. Since it was my first time, I wasn't sure what to expect, but my husband had been there before. The atmosphere was lovely, with great décor, comfortable furniture, and a pianist playing, which set the perfect tone. In a place like Fayetteville, where new and different spots are rare, this place really stood out. The service was also top-notch, earning a solid 10 out of 10. Our server was attentive to our table and quickly brought everything we needed. If I'm not mistaken, gratuity is already included, but if the service is outstanding--as it was here--I'll gladly leave an extra tip because they truly deserve it. The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, all of which were hot and fresh. My favorite was definitely the Mac & Cheese--it was creamy, cheesy, and delicious. I've been wanting to try this place for a while and my experience was not what I imagined. When we got there the server didn't tell us the history or anything about the cafe. I get it, she's busy she don't have time but I thought that would have been nice. But she didn't tell us where to sit how the buffet worked or anything. So we found a seat and then found the sign that said buffet here and got our food. The food was good. The chicken was good and the flounder had good flavor. A little cold, but the second batch was better. Breading could've been crispier. The sides were decent. The star was the mash potatoes and chicken gravy. The Mac and cheese was decent. Better than most places but still had that processed cheese taste. The waitresses were floaters, different waitresses came over to ask how you were and to refill drinks. The desert was good. Really good homemade whipped cream and the Reese's cupcake was moist and flavorful. Definitely would return and I would like to go for dinner for the entertainment. read more

Great dining experience in Trilith. At first I was a little taken back by the building as it looks just like a school. Found out it was originally designed for a school but the restaurant owners made it into a restaurant. The buffet style is very neat and the atmosphere is classy with live music. The musician is fantastic, he's very talented. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Our server was Christian. He was super polite, attentive, and entertaining with great stories, thanks Christian. The food is good and I like that they also serve crab legs. Although the crab isn't all you can eat, the portion they include is significant especially once you load up on a plate of food from their buffet. From what I heard they change up their offerings on the buffet frequently. Today's assortment was nice, including salads, seafood, poultry, and read meat. this experience was so horrific I have to tell people what happened. It started when I came in with my family party of 5 My grandson who is 10 was charged as an adult, I asked I thought it was 12 or 13, she was short as her response " it's the rules, do you still want to dine" I'm here with the family we are hungry so I bit my tongue. Dinning experience was and is always great, our waitress outstanding. What happened at the end kinda threw me in a tailspin. Today is Saturday Aug 30. We just left around 9pm so this just occurred. We had our crabs we paid for and was stuffed, so being that our crabs was on the table I asked for a Togo box (prior week Friday Aug22 they gave us , me and wife to go boxes), the waitress (again she was outstanding) said she had to ask her mgr(I thought that was odd), they brought out our crabs and then the mgr (white woman tattoo on her right arm) came over no hi how are you no nothing and said if we want them to go we have to pay for them, now I'm with family so her attitude and the conversation was starting to get crazy, she accused me of not telling the truth and was trying to make me pay. I wanted my tickets back she said no, you you can pay for the crabs then all of a sudden, she said she not doing anything and will call security, at that point i never raised my voice to her so why would she threaten me with security. I did lose it for a second and told her to call freaking (bad word) security I have money. I am a disabled vet who has eaten here or paid for pple to eat here over 100 times,family come in town I bring them here. I will in time return but it will not be anytime soon. The service we received from Blaike was outstanding. He really took care of us. They atmosphere was perfect, live music, great way to spend our Sunday. This place is definitely interesting! We work in the area a lot and one of my local coworkers told us we had to try it....it seemed like a unique experience so of course we went for it. It's in an old school building so that was a surprise and very unique. The restaurant itself is the old cafeteria I presume and a fun experience to think about. The food is buffet style, everything I had was pretty good! This is southern food - they'll serve salad but not really any vegetables. However, again, it's southern food - fried and freaking delicious. There wasn't anything I had that I didn't like. Service was good, it was nice that they walk around and grab you drinks. They also have a continuous rotation of desserts, everything we tried was really good. Considering it's a buffet, it felt very fresh. Great entertainment, deserts, & ambiance, but the prime rib was dry and the crab legs over cooked and there were still crab parasite eggs left on the shell (which are not harmful in any way but it's not exactly fun to look at or touch when trying to enjoy a meal.) Some positive notes to take away are that they have a really great wedge salad and the chicken and salmon are awesome, along with all the veggie options. There was also a nice waitress coming around with free samples of a slushie shot which was nice. However this restaurant just did not meet the attention to detail that I was expecting with how it's advertised. The wait staff are friendly and prompt but almost come off as a little bit inexperienced, as if not trained in how to perform in a formal dining setting. (Every 3 mins we would have a different employee come up and ask us how we were doing, which I appreciate the thought behind it but that's a bit much.) It really ruins the experience when employees are loud, talking back to their managers, and chatting inbetween tables with eachother while we are trying to enjoy our meal and celebrate special occasions. My family & I enjoyed Sunday brunch for Easter at TSC. This was like a mini road trip - about 40 minutes from home. No interstate highway is really close - the closest is I-85 from Jonesboro Road for reference. I put a deposit down of $20/pp and this secured our table. We were 10 late but service at tables are for 90 minutes. Upon arrival they pull your reservation, confirm beverage choice (mimosas or soft drinks) and you pay your balance in advance. There was a tent card with my name waiting on the table which was a pleasant surprise. Our server explained where to start the buffet line, condiments, omelette station and the desserts. The omelette station also has waffles that you can add fruit toppings and whipped cream. Ratings: 8 Ambiance - the decor and seating was very nice. They had Easter decor and a pianist the entire time. 8 Drink - We got the mimosas (included) and were served 2 each. 7.5 Food - The spread is amazing and lovely presentation. However, it lacked variety - lots of starch to fill you up. Salads had dressing on it (Caesar, Greek) which was not expected. Deviled eggs were bland. Fish, fried chicken and other items were over-seasoned or salty. The steak medallions were the best item on buffet. In general it was like corporate or banquet food. Not bad, but not amazing. 9 Location - this eatery is located at Trilith Studios owned by the Hanna Brothers. Afterwards we drove through the budding town filled with coffee shops, bars, restaurants, lofts, homes and green space. It's quite a site to see and really charming. Overall, go check it out. As others have noted, this is a high end buffet. We came for Sunday brunch and I skipped the breakfast and went right to lunch. Fried shrimp, fried chicken, fried fish with Mac and cheese. Visited 2/29/2020 - My Mom has been talking about this place for over year and has constantly asked me and my twin sister to go with her. This place is a converted school cafeteria and the classrooms have been transformed into support rooms for the accompanying movie studio! This place was awesome and worth the wait and the hype from my mom. It's located in an up and coming community with half a million dollar houses and up, state of the art gym, and a ton of other amenities not typically found on the south end of Atlanta. You must have a reservation and this cafe is buffet style. On Saturday nights they have live music and a wide ranging menu. The staff is awesome and the food is delicious. My plate was filled and overflowing and I'm positive I almost overdosed on crab legs, which were prepared excellently. I will def return here for date night, and perhaps hit the movie theater once it opens up! Also, be careful because the candles are real and keep your hands to your own plate, or you will get burned like my sister who made several attempts to grab my crab legs!
