Was able to get an appointment ASAP with no issues. Easy access in and out (important when driving these things!) The shop has the be the cleanest there is and the waiting area looks like Macy's with everything thing a dedicated CAT owner might dream of! The parts counter is clear un cluttered and the guys could not be more friendly and helpful. Not only help you but also the cashier (nice touch). My service tech found me in the waiting room and took me out to the bus. He politely hooked in and stayed on it for about an hour until it was dialed in and all the controls were adjusted to my preferences! Answered all my questions and had me on my way. I was able to get pricing on services such as oil changes and found them to be 30% less then the best prices I had found! I'll be coming back here for a long time!

Everyone is so friendly, helpful, and especially knowledgeable; Laura is a sewing treasure! I was browsing, wasting some time in between appointments and just enjoying some me time. I had…read morebeen to another sewing and vacuum store where i had spent a good 30+ minutes walking around ALL the machines, touching them analyzing them and not one person had acknowledged or asked if i needed help. I had purchased from Jones SEVERAL years ago while visiting eastern idaho's fair and remembered how friendly and helpful they were so i drove over to their Boise location, again to just browse. I walked in and one person was helping a customer pick out fabric and another employee was showing two ladies an arm quilter so i didn't expect them to help right away but within minutes of walking around the guy helping the quilters acknowledged me and said someone would be right with me, i was ok because I saw both of them busy. Then the other sales person called out to me and acknowledged me saying she would also be right with me. As soon as she was done she came over and asked if i had any questions, etc. we started talking about the sergers and how with one of my feet its hard to use a presser foot. She called out to another employee (Linda) and asked her while at the same time she was googling the question. They listened and didn't brush me off knowing the answer was all sergers sew with a pressing foot. Linda talked a little bit more about sergers but not with out acknowledging to the first sales person that she had stepped in. I ended up purchasing a serger. I only wish i had asked more about what the store offers or provides for the product since i purchased it from them i.e extended warranties and such or even a year or so of discounts from the store for making a sewing machine purchase but i am able to take some classes to learn my new machine which is definitely helpful.

I took my mower in and told him pretty much exactly what was wrong with it and what he could do to…read moretest it to be sure, and then after waiting in line for three weeks he decided to complain that the carburetor was after market and that it wasn't assembled, even though it was specifically disassembled to make it possible to test and see what I had said initially. He ended up charging me $99 to take parts off that where unrelated to the problem, and suggested several times that the problem wasn't the governor. My mower was over revving uncontrolled and the throttle did nothing. This started randomly during my last mow of the year while I was unloading the grass bags. In the spring I took it all apart and tested everything out again. By removing the linkages in the throttle assembly and testing each individually I found that the governor linkage had absolutely no resistance even when the mower was running way to fast. It should be pushing back against the throttle to slow the engine down. Manually manipulating the carburetor could speed up and slow down the mower but still there was no feedback on the governor arm. When I looked online this was a commonly reported problem with the B&S V-twin. I took this in to JP and told him all of the above because I didn't have time to open up the block to debug and fix. When he called back he told me that the carburetor wasn't assembled right, the seals were leaking, and that he would need to reassemble all of it and replace the brand new carburetor with a OEM part in order to test the mower. He clearly had never turned it on or even tried troubleshooting. I refused further service and took the mower home. He insisted that the governor felt like it was working fine at several points in this process. After disassembling the motor I found all the bits and pieces of the governor in the oil sump pan. Just as I had said, the governor had exploded in the case and wasn't even attached to the motor any more. There was also a crack in the crank case directly behind the starter mower that wasn't visible until the motor was opened that likely makes the motor not even worth fixing. In the end had I followed his advice I would have been hundreds of dollars in the hole before he even tried troubleshooting the issue and found the underlying critical problem that he likely wouldn't have been able to repair anyway.

Fair prices for work completed and was completed timely. Would highly recommend themread more
