Such a cool place! I like Alvarium beer and the ambiance here is very casual. Service was okay but a great place to hangout with your friends or to grab your favorite beer!

Very cool spot with a ton of unique and creative beer styles. The place was packed when I got there so I had trouble finding a place to sit but luckily found a spot at the counter to enjoy my flight. I really liked their peanut flavored porters as well as their NEIPA offerings. The place also seems to really prioritize dogs so it'd be a great place to bring your four legged pals.

Service was very friendly. I liked how there was a variety of beer types, from IPAs, to sours and also some seltzer/ cider options. They also have a coffee cafe which I have yet to try. Nicely decorated, plenty of parking. I particularly liked the Hurricane, which tastes like a fruit punch sour. They have a separate smaller room for private parties which was nice.

Great atmosphere! Came for pre-turkey day trivia which also was a blanket drive-- good cause! We like ciders and sours so did a flight with Sucker Punch'd and Scorpion Bowl being our favorites! Service was fast, friendly and helpful (the keg of scorpion kicking with my pour so they have me another of my choice, which was awesome). Would def stop in again!

Great spot and even better beer. Dog friendly, indoor and outdoor. They have a real big indoor area and 5ish tables outside. Beers have some weed themed names, which I found amusing. I tried and liked 3-4 IPA's and would recommend them all. I liked Glued, supa phresh and Platinum OG in that order. My wife drank Regal Lager and liked that too. All beers were $7 or less as well so very fair pricing. Highly recommend!

Where have I been ? Why have I not been here until yesterday( Saturday afternoon) ?! Sounds crazy being a New Britain resident and I finally went to check Out Alvarium. I have to say I really liked it. They had the lobster food truck outside with a tent next to It so you can sit and eat. Through out the week they will have food trucks scheduled to be there.. Many choices of beer, they have non alcoholic, some wine and cider which is what I had . I had a Blueberry Ginger Cider in which I really enjoyed! The front of Alvarium had also tables outside and the inside. Many places to sit. Love that is dog friendly and I enjoyed seeing all the well behaved pups there. Very cute! Even people there were very friendly. Bartender was awesome as well. It's in my plans to come back! My friend and I enjoyed it that much!

Terrific local brewery! Made us wish we lived here so we could come more often. Definitely try all of the recommendations from staff and if you can, split multiple flights with friends so you can try them all. Food trucks are on site (necessary) and it's very dog-friendly. We had flown in, so we bought a spelt dog biscuit to take back home to our girl. (She approved of the Alvarium quality too.)

I've been to Alvarium many times. It's such a fun brewery. The bartenders are so personable and a pleasure to interact with. They're always ready to make beer recommendations. The honeycomb pattern is prominent across the whole space, including the ceiling. I got Sugar Plums as my beer for the evening, because the description said there was glitter in it! I think this might be limited edition for the holidays, because I no longer see it on their website. Ohhh it tastes like it looks and sounds, it is a plumy sour! Sadly I didn't notice any glitter in my glass, I could blame the lights.. and I took some time to inspect it for said glitter.. to be fair I was having trouble with my eyes on this particular night. Glitter or no glitter this was a very tasty sour! They also have a nice variety of games to play, my friend and I played for a bit. Alvarium is a super fun brewery, they have Food trucks, with tasty food, and ample space for parking.

Sometime recently, I realized I was giving too many 5 Star Yelp Reviews to Ice Cream Shops. I modified my approach and . . . problem solved. I now have 5 Star Reviews, 4 Star Reviews and even a 3 Star review. I haven't figured out what to do with craft breweries yet. So, Alvarium - 5 Stars. Especially, on a day I scored two four packs of the elusive Rocket Pop (FKA Bomb Pop) and had a flight of Alvarium's best, including Phresh, Platinum OG (both New England IPAs), Crunchy Roll (Japanese Rice Lager), and Lime Crumble (a pastry style sour) with my family in a cool setting. Cheers!

Happy almost Halloween to all! Wow! Last night was such a great time at the Ecto Cooler Halloween party! I have been dying to try the Ecto Cooler and not only did I get to try that, but I also had their Pink Slime beer slushie as well. Ecto Cooler is a luminous green fruited sour that uses orange and tangerine purees to mimic the classic juicebox from back in the day. #iykyk The Ecto Jeep set up by @djaemelee was so awesome! Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, Slimer and all the lights made for the best time! Get your Ecto Cooler while you can! It goes fast!

I haven't been here in years and brought outside food at the time. Is this still allowed or do they offer food on site?

Not sure about bringing your own food, but every time we've been there they have had food available

We had been here once before so I chose this over Hop Haus due to the extensive burger options. We were told to sit wherever and someone would be with us. After we found seats and sat down for a few minutes, then friends of the server/bartender came in. They were excited to see each other, so of course they were greeted and served drinks before us. Not a huge deal, but I noticed it and it made me feel like we may be put on the back burner for the rest of our time. Our burgers came out on a large English muffin, mine happened to be burnt. It took ten minutes to get the servers attention again to let her know that the burnt English Muffin needed to be replaced. The burger was good after they replaced the English muffin. The delay in service is what completely threw me off. Even making better eye contact with the dining area when bartending would have helped so I didn't have to wait for 10 minutes to let them know my bread was burnt. I didn't want to eat it that way so I waited. It took time to pay the bill as well. We left at 4:30pm. Maybe today was an off day. The food was good though.

There's always something we are excited to check out when we haven't been in a while. The restaurant is both nice enough that you feel really good bringing your out of town friends here to try and impress while also being low-key enough for a simple date night with your significant other. They have a few non-alcoholic drink options. As someone who's living the sober lifestyle, it's always nice to see that. The restaurant is well managed and well maintained. Always clean, servers seem invested. It doesn't hurt to make a reservation if you're coming on a Friday or weekend night. Chicken is the star of the show here, and we almost always order that with some of the ala carte sides, but my wife also likes to grab something else off the menu and I'll usually sneak a bite. We've never had anything that fell below expectations.

We assumed the place would be packed as we headed in to watch the 1:00 game. But it was dead. Which we were kind of relieved because we weren't worried about finding a table but also kind of perplexed because any other place that serves wings on a Sunday during football season is bursting at the seams. We walked in and stood at the hostess station waiting to be seated for about 5 minutes and didn't see an employee at all. My husband finally just walked over to the bar area and spotted someone around the corner. He asked if we could sit and she was somewhat agreeable to the idea. Thankfully our server McKenna was a delight. She was attentive and efficient. The French onion soup was fantastic. The wings were fine but not as good as I remember. They used to have a crisp to them. Now they are just kind of soggy. The kids liked their chicken tenders although I thought it looked like they had been in the fryer a tad too long. I could get past all that except I can't overlook the lack of management and the terrible bartender. We observed multiple people come in and stand at the hostess station for excessive amounts of time before anyone bothered to greet them. There were people at the bar with empty drinks and the bartender was standing around the corner on her phone while people waited. It was just a bad movie unfolding before our eyes. It was an experience for sure. This place used to be and could be amazing - they just need better hands on management and something to draw the crowd in on Sundays. We might come back if we see any chatter about new management, but until then it's probably off our rotation.

When we were cashing out we heard the bartender say "I'm going to charge her card for a 20% tip" It was disappointing and uncomfortable to say the least. It's also very concerning how often visibly intoxicated customers are overserved and then allowed to drive away. It doesn't feel safe or responsible.
