Best planner I've had. We contacted Danyell on the bases of planning my 16th birthday and she did not disappoint. Her communication was on point constantly going back and forth to make sure all details were up to pair. Party bags, tables, chairs, you name it. Even with limited space she was able to produce such a night that wouldn't be forgotten. But more than that, she made me feel truly special and very incorporated in the whole process, making sure I felt good and willing to make any changes and adjustments I needed. We had Event Engineers do both our bridal shower and our vineyard wedding! You really had to be there to see the quality and level of craftsmanship that went it to our wedding but I will do my best to describe it in words and with pictures. I don't normally write reviews, especially not this long but they did such an incredible job I just had to share with everyone. It's also what really helped us when we we're looking through options for our wedding designer, so I hope this helps you too! I'll start with the bridal shower - If you have an eye for detail and want to know it's being handled with care, having someone like Alexx on the Event Engineers team is going to be a huge relief! She was a source of calm and sanity through the process of planning and designing. I gave them some rough ideas of what I wanted and Event Engineers got to work! To say they created magic is a complete understatement!! The entrance had a very classy custom welcome sign with bridal shower details and my name. As I made my way to the outside I was almost in tears when I first saw the gorgeous long outdoor table with all the beautiful center pieces perfectly set up. I'll include pictures because words won't do it justice. We decided on a soft pink for the shower's color theme, the level of detail and care throughout all of it was amazing. They also hand made a beautiful back drop for pictures, all of my friends really loved this! C'est La Vie a company Event Engineers works closely with, did our catering and they were just as incredible! They made a special order of homemade empanadas with all kinds of exquisite fresh pasta salads as well, they were all mouth watering. One of the most talked about treats that day by the guests was the espresso machine, that was handled by a very fun and charismatic Kev, from C'est La Vie. They served delicious frothy oat milk lattes at the end of the night, my guest couldn't believe it! They kept joking that the bar was set so high for any bridal shower's to come. For our wedding I could write forever on how many details and custom work Event Engineers did for us but I'll try to let the pictures speak for themselves. Camilo on the Event Engineer team does absolutely beautiful custom built wood work and just about anything else you can dream up, he can create. Our wedding reception was in the back of a large home with a vineyard surrounding the backyard, with a pool in the middle. We wanted to bring life to the pool with candle lit floats, this was a last minute ask that I have to say left us amazed at the skill and speed Camilo works! My husband and I's initials were made into a large custom logo, which was a surprise and hung over a lovely green back drop surrounded by red roses on a vine for guest to take pictures! Our wedding flowers had a little more pop of color than I was expecting but they turned out gorgeous in all the pictures and brought the whole place to life! The wedding tables were their own master piece with runners going across, gold candle holders, goblets and gold rimmed chargers! Even custom wooden names laser cut and placed on the plates, for every guest to easily find their seat and take home as a party favor! This detail made all the guest feel so important and special. This is a very talented crew that will NOT give you a cookie cutter wedding! So to sum it up if you're looking for the a team that will painstakingly put there heart and soul into every detail of your event, don't hesitate to use Event Engineers or C'est la vie, you'll thank me later! read more

Hire them! We were blessed to work with Alexx and Camilo in planning our 300+ wedding and couldn't be happier. We hired their partial planning services, rentals, and florals. They made sure our large wedding was beautiful, fun, and stress-free. Before choosing EE, I extensively interviewed 10 wedding planners. We picked them because of Alexx's professionalism, flexibility with our budget, aesthetic eye, access to good vendors, and sincerity. Alexx and Camilo truly listened and cared about executing our vision and went above and beyond what we expected in terms of providing us wedding planning services. They treated us like family and worked very hard to make sure we had everything we needed leading up to and during our wedding day. They were truly accommodating to our planning and floral budget and went out of their way to make sure that they stayed within costs without sacrificing quality. They connected us with a dessert catering company, dj + lighting services, violinist, and a make up artist that provided us great service at an affordable price. They have an extensive array of decor rentals and provide a discount if you couple their rentals and floral services with their planning services. I can't say enough good things about this husband and wife duo. The other reviews are 100% correct in that they are the sweetest people to ever work with and have such a great aesthetic eye for design. ORIGINAL REVIEW: If you only read one sentence of this review: REVERSE IMAGE SEARCH any and all images that Alexx, the owner of Event Engineers sends you! I hired Alexx and Event Engineers for full wedding planning services for my intimate, 10 person wedding. I specifically asked if Alexx would be able to provide outside preferred vendor recommendations. She said that wouldn't be a problem. However, after I hired her, Alexx had no difficulty shooting off a (vague) proposal to use her for all services I still needed and providing additional info about her own services when asked, but I had to follow up repeatedly to get ANY vendor recs. After I followed up yet again, she sent them over the weekend, just a few days before we were supposed to have everything booked, giving me little time to review. When I looked them over, I realized they were ones she had just googled and thrown onto a pdf. They were NOT preferred vendor recs at all and it was a total bait and switch so that she could just pitch me to hire her for everything (who would pay a wedding planner fee for direct quotes for a planner's own services...?) I was left to choose amongst these crappy recs or use her unproven services. As she had little evidence of calligraphy or floral services, I asked for samples. Then things got VERY interesting: Because of many odd things that occurred while we worked together I began to doubt her honesty, so I reverse image searched images she emailed me with claims that they were apart of her company portfolio (including florals). I discovered many of these photos were not hers: SHE STOLE OTHER VENDORS' WORK TO PASS OFF AS HER OWN. I have email chains with photographers, florists, and wedding planners as far as the U.K. where the photos originate from who are furious she stole their work and passed it off as her own. I found she had also placed stolen photos onto her Wedding Wire page. After I outed her she deleted some of the stolen images, LOL. She claimed to have an in house calligrapher. Rather than connect me to her, she ensured not to let me see her website, instead emailing me photos from the calligrapher's website. She insisted on making me a mock up of an invitation. After having me choose a font, showing me multiple samples of the calligrapher's previous work she sent me a mock up. It was AWFUL and looked nothing like the examples I had seen nor matched the font I chose. I reverse image searched the examples Alexx sent and found the calligrapher, CalligraphyKatrina.com who confirmed the mock up was not her work. She claimed to have a rental house. I visited their small office and viewed a few trays, a couple candle holders, and a stained mannequin. Most of the things I needed: she didn't actually own but wanted to rent to me. She showed me a collage of table runners, told me to pick a color, said she'd 'buy it and charge me a quarter of the price'. I found the exact same collage (she had pulled the image from Etsy), and realized I could purchase the EXACT same runner for the same price she was trying to rent it to me for. She ignored my requests for food vendor recs, and tried to get me to buy snacks from some random company called Wake Up Cafe (this was part of her direct in house pitches). They had no website and she only provided their IG after multiple requests for more information or even a menu. I later figured out this is her aunt. She conveniently left that detail out. I wound up doing my own research, booking my own vendors, and doing the work I had hired her to do. In summary: after receiving a wedding planning fee from me Alexx tried to convince me to funnel nearly every penny for other things I needed to her or to family members (through her 'in house' services). Many of the images she showcased that were not stolen are from her own wedding (or possibly family/friends' events). Many questionable reviews: some are from family members or friends (note the K at the end of multiple Yelp reviews - stands for her former last name, and Marina L is her mother...who is part of Event Engineers). One review on Wedding Wire actually uses photos from Alexx's own wedding. I released her from her duties over email well before the event and requested a refund. She responded in an extremely dismissive manner, did not ask why I was unhappy, just blew me off. This shows that she did not care whether I was satisfied. My entire experience was one of being deceived. This behavior has been unethical and possibly worse. I attached proof of some of the stolen images (there is more). If she went to such extreme lengths to deceive me, I shudder to think what she would do if given the opportunity to plan a larger wedding. read more

We were hosting a last minute wedding reception, but didn't want things to look rushed or compromise on the little details. We found Alexx from Event Engineers and quickly recognized that she has a very good taste and is able to do more with less. Some of her previous work shows that her choice of colors are meant to go with each other and she can get very creative with the details that matter without going overboard. Anyway, we contacted her with a week to go for our event, and she was super responsive and made us feel calm and assured for things to go perfectly on our big day. Given the tight timeline, Alexx stayed in touch throughout to ensure that we were on track. With only 2 to 3 days to go, we were finding small things on Instagram and Pinterest that we felt like we really wanted, and whenever we approached her with these, she was always willing to make them happen with a positive attitude. On the day of the event, Alexx and her team ensured that everything was coming together harmoniously. I stopped by to ask if there was anything they needed, but they made me feel assured that they had everything covered and I didn't have any reason to worry. When I walked back into the event space with my wife, we were both blown away by how nicely everything came together.
