We hired Kristie, owner of Reveal Interior Design, who came highly recommended. It turned out to be the best decision we made. On Reveal's website they offer several different services from consults to full home remodels. Because we were out of state for a few months while we designed and furnished the interior of our home we worked remotely with Kristie and her team so they could get a feel for our styles, color palette and what we liked and disliked. We shared Pinterest boards, emails, and websites. Eventually we met in person where they presented us with at least two design style choices of colors, materials, furniture, and artwork for each room we were renovating. Once selected they gave us full color renditions which looked amazingly lifelike. This was especially helpful in visualizing everything and making any necessary changes. In the end they were able to meld the different design styles almost every couple possess into a home which is show quality but at the same time is warm, welcoming, with a lived-in vibe. Kristie not only consulted with us on the interior, but also the outdoor living spaces, and exterior paint color. In total, Kristie designed and furnished our kitchen, wet bar, great room, theater room, office, loft, 5 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, spa, casita, and gym. This impressed…read moreme because I contacted 5 different companies and only Rock N Block and one other one reached out to me in a timely manner. My backyard had never been done. It's been the same dirt lot since the house was built over a decade ago. We finally decided to get it done so our new dog could have a nice place to play, especially during the summers, where we can control the heat levels. JJ and associate came out quickly and made me feel really comfortable. There was no weird upselling (I wanted something really plain) and no fear mongering. I could tell immediately that we were going to go with Rock N Block so I cancelled my other appointment with a different company and put my deposit down right away. Within hours, JJ had the plans to me and I got the HOA paperwork started. Once that was done, I was scheduled immediately to have my yard worked on. The day of, the workers came, did a final measurement and got to work. It took 3 days but it came out exactly like I was promised and had envisioned myself. The workers were extremely friendly and self contained. They were responsible and trustworthy. They were also very concerned with my happiness. They asked me if things were looking good quite a few times. They literally made my yard perfect. I'm still looking for imperfections and cannot find them. If there were any complaints, the communication could be more but to be honest, they give information and don't feel the need to consistently remind you, which is also good. We did have a small hiccup where the workers didn't know they had to install a few other things but JJ made it right immediately and I can only be happy about that. I'd rather have the problem be solved immediately then get a phone call being told it would be done, although I can see how some people would want both. Pricing was fair in my opinion. I was told it should have been less expensive but I don't think so. The job is immaculate and the items are gorgeous with great quality. The craftsmanship means a lot to me and I would pay for it again. I wish I took some before pictures but I completely forgot to. Imagine a literal nothing of a yard. Now, it's gorgeous and I can't wait to accessorize!

the Nevada desert Graboids (think Tremors movie) must have struck my under-the-house-foundation…read morewater pipes for the second time. first time some years ago it was jack-hammer, partial line fix and a total mess. this year SNWA with their wifi modules notify home owners they have a leak. good thing because a leak wasn't visible this time, unlike the first one. decision time was either fix one line part way up to first manifold or re plumb the house. small house, nevertheless, costly. after the great plumbers completed their works i needed to get the drywall areas patched and painted. got three estimates. 702 P&D came in about middle. one was too low and one was too high for my wallet. and 702 P&D had a good contract along with exactly what to expect. the low bidder did't have any of that. nothing wrong with that, but for me and my home i needed some binding paperwork and written expectations. as many others have mentioned, Julio was point man. for me, couldn't have been a better experience, from the first time he showed up until the job completion. His craftsman-gentleman, Mr Ernesto, did an excellent drywall job and all that goes along with that. showed up on time, verbalized what he was going to do each day, when he was off to lunch and a return time. Great for me as i could time my service dog's business times around his schedule. honestly, unless one knew or is an expert with drywall, it is fairly difficult to tell where the cutouts from the plumbers are. and Ernesto sprayed texture on the drywall to match the walls and he did well with that too. i agree, probably the best.
