What made the experience particularly notable is that we had been service members with Radiant for the past four years. When we called them, the earliest prioritized appointment they could offer us was two weeks away, despite having no working AC in 100 degree weather. That experience prompted us to call Service Wizard instead, and I am very glad we did. Jeremiah was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. He took the time to explain what he was checking and what he found, without trying to sell us repairs or services we did not need. He also discovered that during a previous service visit, Radiant had installed the condensation shutoff on the secondary drain line rather than the primary line, where it should have been installed. I really appreciated Jeremiah catching and explaining that issue. Between the emergency availability, Jeremiah's knowledge and professionalism, and the overall experience, I was impressed enough to sign up for Service Wizard's membership before he left. **1/5 Stars - Big Waste of Time (and almost a lot of money)**…read moreI wanted to like Service Wizard, but my experience with them was incredibly frustrating. My AC condensation pipe was completely backed up and needed to be flushed. Their tech arrived on time and seemed very professional, spending about an hour and a half working on the unit and inspecting everything inside and out. However, he couldn't find where the evaporator line exited the house. His solution? Install an external pump and run a whole new drain line. The rough estimate for that was, well, a hell of a lot more than the $15 fee they charged me just to come out and take a look. When he left, I still had the exact same broken AC, was stressing over an exorbitant bill to fix it, and somehow found out I'd been signed up for a $15-a-month service plan that entitled me to another check-up in six months just in time for winter. Hoping to just get it resolved, I reached out to Service Wizard via Yelp later that evening to see if they could come back today to do the work the tech recommended. I never got a response. Frustrated, I called a different AC company. They actually answered the phone, sent technicians out right on time today, and those guys spent **five minutes** at my house before finding the external line, repairing it, and flushing my system. Problem completely solved in under five minutes, and the fee was incredibly cheap compared to the massive quote I got from Service Wizard. I will definitely be canceling my $15-a-month contract with Service Wizard and won't be recommending them going forward. Save yourself the headache and call someone else!

Thought it was my crazy neighbor banging his door closed, and forgot about it. Then I started to hear a buzzing every 5 minutes or so. Told my wife to check her phone, figuring that was vibrating. Wife likes it on 72 and I can say this unit has been managing that this year with the lower summer temps. Went out and checked it and yes the fan was on but you could tell the compressor was trying to kick in and buzzing like missing a connection. Knowing from my past AC events and that pop, I figured and hoped it was the capacitor which is usually a quick fix. The unit was 4 years old, but I was not surprised being an electrical engineer and knowing how more of the solid state components added to these appliances don't last as long as old discrete mechanical ones. What happens in our throw away economy. That is why I was so glad we used Eric. He not only gave us a great deal and great service but he offered the best warranty around. Wife texted him Thursday morning and he showed up less than 30 minutes later. He worked for about 20 minutes knocked on the door and said it was a bad capacitor and all fixed, and reminded us to not touch the thermostat for the next day or so. We asked how much we owed him and he said, "No charge." Music to my wife and my ears. House was back down to 72 by mid day and everything back to normal. Everyone has anxiety when it is mid summer and AC goes out. Not us. With an expert like Mr. Fontaine, taking care of us, the worries are gone.
