Giving this spot some additional Yelp Love. Everest is one of our favorite restaurants for Indian food. Dine in or carry out. Great flavors and good portions. Service is always friendly, it was pretty slow on this visit though Comfortable atmosphere. Plenty of parking What we ate: Paneer Kulcha: Naan stuffed with homemade cottage cheese Plain Naan Mixed Vegetable Grill: Tandori homemade paneer cheese, zucchini, broccoli, carrot, bell pepper and onions. Chicken Korma: Mild rich creamy sauce based on blends of coconut, cashews, sesame, herbs with chicken tender cubes Masala Chai: Indian style milk tea brewed with Indian herbs. Available hot or iced My rating rationale +.5 Service +1 Food~Taste/flavor/quality +1 Presentation +1 Atmosphere/vibe +1 Value

Delicious flavor. High quality and smooth taste. Great service. Very kind, attentive, and helpful. Clean and tidy seating. There's a bar too. I got chicken tikka masala - 5/5. Full of flavor and smooth. Sweeter than other places. Chicken Mango - 5/5. Unique take on mango chicken. Lightly fried chicken cubes but not breaded. Very good texture and amazing mango sauce. Bullet naan with garlic - 5/5. Just a little thicker than other naans I've had and the chiles and garlic are on top but also kinda stuffed/ layered in the naan. Palak Chaat- 4/5. Very good but very saucy and maybe too fried. I live in Hagerstown and it was recommended by a friend. I will definitely make the drive here 45 minutes on occasion. It's one of the best around. Must try.

I had the most amazing goat biryani I have ever had at Everest. I got it Indian spicy and it was the perfect amount of spice in my opinion. The goat pieces were tender and delicious! I will be back! Service was quick and parking is very easy.

I fancied Indian cuisine and found the Everest restaurant via a Google search. The place is easily accessible from I-81 on which i was driving north. There is ample parking on 2 sides. Upon my majestic entrance, I was essentially ignored by and androgynous-appearing server who was waiting upon a table of 4, the only diners there. After about a minute, the server, who spoke so quietly that speech was essentially imperceptible, pointed to a table and I perched myself into a seated position. My order was taken and within about 10 minutes, my meal arrived. My vegetable curry with garlic Naan bread was quite good, although my iced chai remained warm despite the ice cubes. The portions of rice and curry were generous, even for this big eater, thus I had no space in my stomach for dessert, and I didn't want to feel excessively satiated for the remainder of my drive. I did observe that there was quite a bit take out business. Also, they did play was sounds to have been contemporary Indian music which enhanced my dining experience. I would not have enjoyed hearing punk rock or Nancy Sinatra ( there's a story there!) whilst enjoying my meal. The bottom line is that I give this a 4 star, but possibly would have rated as a 5 with a more welcoming server/greeter and cold iced chai.

    Incredible food and service.

After my recent 3rd visit I have to leave a review. I took my mother here for mothers day. She is not familiar with indian food but she is branching out lately. This place is incredible. A clean and lovely dining area, A lovely and knowledgable waitress/hostess. The entire atmosphere is perfect with indian music playing lightly, Great flatware and dining area with the permeated smells of quality food. Naan was perfect. Roti was better than mine. Chicken Curry was better than mine. Biryani is the best I have ever had. (Goat and chicken, im going lamb next) Saag is perfect. Butter chicken is more tomato based than some might be used to but its incredible. Go there. Take your lady. Take your man. Dont take the kids tho, cuz im probably there. Photo is Chicken Biryani.

I'm upping my review to five stars after another great meal at Everest. Everything was fantastic and super flavorful. I had the lamb Do-Piazo and enjoyed it very much. The saag was also great. Definitely five stars for the garlic naan and onion kulcha. Samosas were a a great appetizer with two different sauces. Great service and very clean and upscale inside. Absolutely the best Indian food in the Winchester area.

I will keep on going here for as long as I live in Northern Virginia. This place is very good and I love the chicken chilli and tikka masala. Awesome sweet tea. The service is quick and nice. Staff is awesome. The inside is very cozy and they play Indian music.

Chicken in the tikka Masala is dry and tasteless. The sauce tastes weird as well... I wonder how long it's been sitting around.

Ask the Community - Everest Restaurant

Does Everest still offer the buffet? If yes, what days/times and what is the price?

Do they serve beer and wine?

I think so. Beer is available for certain (American and Indian beers), and it looks like they have a bar, but not sure.

KJ arrived at our table soon after we were seated and upon meeting him we knew we were in the best of hands. He guided us on a culinary adventure we have never experienced in this area! His knowledge and expertise are insurmountable. EVERY suggestion he made for our meal was absolute perfection. I seriously felt I was in London vs Winchester VA! Our Vegetarian Pakora Starters were delicious! The Main Event was exactly as promised! My Husband chose the Chicken Chili, a savory, aromatic celebration! I chose the Chicken Korma, an amazing blend of spices and tender cuts of chicken with a smooth Cashew Base. My Daughter in Law chose the Chicken 65 and it was another explosion of favor with just the right amount of heat. I will definitely have that on a future visit! Lastly my son chose the Lamb Karahi Masala. Melt in your mouth Lamb in the most amazing combination of spices. We couldn't stop tasting each other's meals and basically had our own mini Family Style buffet! Our Family Dessert Platter was a combo plate of Tutti Fruiti Ice Cream, Honey Balls and other specialties of the House. The perfect end to a beyond perfect dinner experience. This restaurant is farther from the highway than it looks due to Front Royal's small-town vibe and…read moreslow roads. It offers a solid North Indian menu. Notably, you're only about an hour a way from an Indian restaurant bonanza in some of the suburbs closer to DC, and this place would be pretty ordinary in those surroundings. However, around here, it is one of few options. Notably it does have vegan-marked offerings. This should not be construed to suggest that they offer health food. I searched for something that wasn't fried but was told that they were out of steamed dumplings (some degree of pre-preparation must be done there). I ended up with a chole bhature, which came with two small puffed breads that didn't impress, but had a great set of accoutrements. I got my dumplings fried in chili sauce. And I added a fresh mint and lime soda, which was excellent. So there is some quality here, for those wanting Indian food and not wanting to head towards DC or Winchester.
