I have a '14 Nissan Murano with 77k miles and it had a bad CVT and needed to be replaced. Found these guys via a friend and was a little suspicious of the $700 LABOR quote to replace the unit because the Nissan dealer wanted over $2,200! It took 2 full weeks to get the job done, but I didn't mind because of the savings. Got my car back and I had a smile all the way home (54 miles). Ask them why it took so long and they showed my there schedule; there were 50+ cars in it. Now I understand why. I am a happy and satisfied customer!

Emily's Garage is one of the Seattle city-approved vehicle safety inspection mechanics.  They offer…read moreASE-certified TNC inspections, pre-buyer inspections, diagnostic services, and general car inspections.  They have three locations - Everett, Tacoma, and Burien. For the vehicle safety inspection, I didn't have to make an appointment.  It was fine to do a walk-in. When I visited Emily's Garage, there was a customer who was pretty upset with the repairs and the cost.  I was able to hear what the customer had to go through but I would not comment on that as I have limited information. From my experience of getting my vehicle inspected, I was very surprised at how quickly they were able to complete the vehicle inspection.  It was done in less than 2 minutes, and I paid over $50 for that service.   For comparison, when I had my vehicle inspected at Les Schwab Tire Centers in Portland, they spent over 20 minutes to thoroughly inspect the vehicle and the cost for the inspection was only $20.   Will I re-visit Emily's Garage for the vehicle inspection?  Probably not but if the state requires me to get the vehicle inspection done, I will probably have no choice as there are not that many shops that offer the ASE-certified inspection.

Actually they said they didn't really find anything and that they would have to do a test to run fluid through to figure out if it even had an oil leak the other mechanic figured out it had a blown head gasket within 15 minutes of looking at it if that doesn't show the lack of skill that ONB auto repair has that I don't know what does. I'm now getting spam text from here telling me to bring my car in and that they have deals ( no deal is good with their pricing and stupidity) So I'm at the point where I am putting this post out and I'm about to block their number and hope to dear God that they don't text me or that I ever have to think of them again I do want to note that there is a lot more points to this experience that I could point out, but this would turn into a book. Moe ended up replacing a part that was not the source of the noise. I suspect due to incompetence, he was unable to locate the noise, and instead of being honest and letting me know this, he proceeded to work on the car and replaced parts I did not need. Additionally, I did not receive the oil change that I paid for. Other Google reviews complained about this same problem. From what I heard, he gets his friends to write positive Google reviews, so this explains the 4.6 rating. His bonus is contingent on the positive reviews he receives. Please do not fall for this. His Google review rate is more like 2.6. Please stay away from this place. You will certainly regret it, just as I did. If you have any issues with this location or Moe, please file a complaint with the Aamco corporate office. This guy, Moe, is only a franchise owner. He still has to follow Aamco guidelines. In addition, please file a complaint with the Washington State Attorney General's Office and the BBB. They will revoke his business license and require him to pay various fees. Complaining on here does not do anything. Take legal action!!

I found Discount Transmission through an ad on Craigslist. The bid he gave me was only $100 more than what I would've paid for a rebuilt transmission and torque converter. It made no sense for me to do it myself. I asked Bill a lot of questions and was satisfied he knew his stuff. It ended up costing a couple of hundred more than the bid, because my transmission was too far gone and he needed to buy a core. And, he also wanted to add an oversize cooler. It still cost way less than what the big name shops charge. He called me for approval before adding the extra cost. After two years and 20,000 miles,including many miles towing a boat and a horse trailer, each in excess of 4000 pounds, the Durango is still going strong. What you won't find at Bill's shop, is a cushy waiting room with a big screen TV. His shop is messy, so watch your step. Leave your checkbook and credit card at home, he only accepts cash.

On top of that, they have saved me SO much money on more than one occasion by giving me tips and advice for my vehicle. For example, I had a broken key for my Honda. While I was at Top Spec getting an oil change, I was on the phone with a Honda dealer for a new key. They said it would cost $500. The guy at Top Spec overheard my conversation and immediately pointed me to a $10 third party key replacement on Amazon. I got it and it worked! Thank you Top Spec!! You guys rock!!
