First time at Omaha Tap House. Met up with a friend at 5:30 on a Friday night. The place was busy. We had to sit at the bar. My body hurts sitting at the bar stools but the service was excellent. The bartender was very friendly and attentive. She was considerate in giving us a heads up when she was about to make a blended drink so we knew when to pause our conversation. We shared the Wisconsin cheese curds that I thought were fine. My friend enjoyed them. I got the Jalapeño smoked cheddar smash burger. It was decent. Extremely messy with the spicy mayo. The prices are very reasonable. I didn't partake this time but they have a good amount of beers on tap. I think the pricing is very reasonable. Service was quick. read more

Tap house is a go too for me and my family! Also had good vibes the wait staff is quick and knows the menu very well! I love their peanut butter burger but I tried the hangover and it might take the cake! The smash burgers are thin and crispy and the melted cheese and egg compliments so well! Great local feel at lunch. The server was very nice and attentive. The food was great, cooked and served exactly as we ordered. The place was hopping around 12:00 but we got a seat right away. They have daily specials and were even doing a special customer appreciation event-GO GET YOURS during the month of December!! The first thing I noticed about this place was the amount of items in the menu! They have such a wide variety from burgers to sandwiches to rice bowls. I went with my family and each of us ordered something completely different. I ordered the buffalo chicken mac which was tasty but I was surprised that there was a sweet coating on the bacon. It threw the dish off since it wasn't listed in the menu as having a glaze, otherwise it was pretty tasty. Our waiter Mike was very attentive but didn't hover over the table which was really nice. He would come over and have a joke ready for our next interaction with him. If you do end up taking a trip here, I recommend looking at the menu ahead of time, there are so many different items to choose from and it can seem overwhelming at first. So thick and juicy and delicious the amount of melted cheese made me so happy. The bacon tomato chutney was sublime just the hit of sweetness was the highlight to my tastebuds. Went to our neighborhood spot after picking our son up from school. Service was friendly as always. The server remembered us. It is Wing Wednesday so got some wings. 75 cents per wing! We got 18. Honey bbq, buffalo, and tried something new, a dry rub-dill pickle. They were all so delicious! I was surprised at how good the dry rub was. I love that the wings are all flats here. This burger was incredible! I got the smoked Gouda bacon chutney so first had to look up chutney but after looking it up it' sounded like something I had to try. It had fried cheese and when you bite into it, it's quite messy but oh so tasty with so much cheese. The chutney was a nice sweet taste on the burger. Swung out West, and tried OTH's monthly feature, the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich. Topped with TWO house made mozzarella sticks, great maranaria sauce and what we felt like was a small taste of chicken. LOTS of mozzarella in those cheese sticks which kinda took away from the chicken... parm... aspect, but still good. Would have liked to taste the star of the show though! Super unusual to see a Cucumber and Onion Salad as a side, but sign us up! It had a GREAT heat kick at the end, and quite frankly, I could've eaten my weight in it... Also grabbed their Blue Cheese Bacon burger, cause I'm feeling a little salty today and maybe sweet AND savory on Thursday. But this burger ticks all three boxes folks. Great blue cheese tang, with the sweetness of the beer braised onions along side their smoky mayo. Chose their fries as my side, kissed by ranch (I don't want to hear it!). They're definitely potatoes, with the right amount of salt to oil. Few crunchier ones but a good mix overall. We visited Tap House with a few friends on Saturday night. The place was busy, but we were sat in a pretty short amount of time. We started with two appetizers: the pretzel bites and the cheese curd platter. The pretzel bites were absolutely delicious. Sometimes when you go to a restaurant, you can tell that the pretzel bites are just heated up from being frozen, but these were soft, flavorful, and the cheese on the side was also really good. The curd platter was also delicious and came with two types of cheese curds, and three different sauces, but I will say for the price I expected there to be more curds on the platter For my meal, I had the 3150 burger. This burger has peanut butter and grape jelly, along with aged white cheddar and bacon, and it's one of my favorite burgers of all time. If you haven't had the combination of a burger and peanut butter and jelly, you are missing out. On the side I had sweet potato fries, which were also really delicious. They are both sweet and salty, as they are sprinkled with some kind of cinnamon sugar on top, but they come with a spicy ranch to dip in. Even when I felt super full, I couldn't help but to keep snacking on these fries. Overall, if you are in the mood for a burger, you can't go wrong here. After delivering food from here over one summer, I decided that I had to go here. Well, my son and I finally did. We ordered carryout, but I will mention that the interior of the restaurant is pretty clean, the staff is usually friendly and attentive even the place is often busy. So, I've been impressed there even though I haven't eaten in. My son got the hangover burger (a traditional burger with bacon, fried egg, and cheese). I got the Peanut Butter Cream Cheese burger - served on toasted bread, it's a very palette-pleasing combination of gooey cream cheese and sweet peanut butter, which provides an excellent cover to a juicy, flavorful patty. The fries were tasty, but do the trip lost a bit of the crunch (the one I snuck in the car was crispy and delicious). This place has excellent food and I will definitely be going back! read more

1 star is too much for this place. They apparently don't know how to change the oil in their fryers. They also must be using the same oil for their cheesecake bites as they are for their fries. For years I raved about the hangover burger... but last Wednesday the eggs were completely disgusting and the meat was the worst. This was the worst meal I've had in months and it cost more than the steak burrito meal at Stokes... WITH MARGARITAS! This place has gone downhill. My friend and I went for drinks at this place and had a great time. We got seated right away and our waitress was very kind. We had never been before, so we didn't know what they had to offer. Once we smelled and saw the delicious food, drinks quickly turned into dinner. Only reason I'm ranking it 4 stars instead of 5 is 1. No military discounts 2. Overpriced & portions aren't great for the price. But overall it is pretty good food. Went here for my mom's birthday since we were looking for a restaurant that is kid friendly and not super expensive. This place was great since it had a wide variety of food options and a good selection of kids meals. This is definitely a place with more unique flavors of beer and burgers. For example, a cheeseburger is not one of there signature burgers. The ambiance was like a typical sports bar--lots of TVs! The staff were very attentive & knowledgeable about the beers available and they had a a couple different types of nonalcoholic beers. Their burgers have unique selections of toppings such as jam, peanut butter, jelly, hash brown, cheese curds, and egg on top. However, the flavor combinations somehow compliment each other. Each person had a different burger and there were no complaints. I tried the hangover burger and my only complaint is that the burgers were well done and I like my burgers medium rare. I'll have to request that next time. My fries were delicious! However, my mom's fries on her plate were either overcooked or sitting out too long. Ask for the ranch seasoning on them. The cheese curds have a tempura-like coating on them (the cheese oozes out). Not a typical cheese curd, but tasty! This is a favorite when we want a great burger. Also terrific chicken quesadilla and chicken nachos, do not miss the seasoned sour cream! Love the onion rings too. I had the jalapeño smoked cheddar burger and wife had the hickory burger. Both were fantastic!!! I ordered the hash browns with mine. Let me preface this review by saying that I have eaten at this location in the past and enjoyed it. This most recent trip was my first visit in quite a while, and I it just wasn't up to par. I started my meal with the crisp brussel sprouts. They were good but definitely could have been more flavorful. My main course was the chicken avocado bacon sandwich, which I had sans bacon and the top bun. I opted for a cup of potato soup as my side. The sandwich itself was good. Just what you would expect for that sort of thing. The soup was just okay. Like my appetizer, it was lacking in flavor and didn't have as many potatoes in it as I thought it would have for being a potato soup. There also was an issue with our water having little floating things in it. Our waitress took the waters back for us and brought us new. For some reason, the original water was poured from a pitcher, and our waitress seemed to think that was the issue. Our new water was clean and free of "floaties". All in all, I'm not super impressed with this visit. We did have a good waitress who was attentive and helpful, so that helped make up some for the lackluster food. read more
