This company may be good for vinyl fencing but they really suck at wood fencing. I was promised one thing and got another. The driveway gates are useless because they're heavy and were poorly hung. And the walkthrough gate is barely big enough for my trash/recycle/green cans. It took months for them to deliver and then the job was slapped up partially in the pouring rain. Though the people were nice and quite apologetic through the entire ordeal, I finally gave up on them especially after learning my job had been under bid and none of their contractors wanted to do it anyway. They should have refunded my money when they realized their mistake in the beginning. I'm left with a product that isn't what I was promised and gates that either don't function at all or barely meet my needs. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

Paid Everfence 50% to replace an existing wooden fence with a vinyl fence. They said they were 1 month out to starting jobs. After waiting 1 month I contacted them with no response. Tried emailing, texting and calling and no answer. Contacted the California Contractors License Board and they told me that had similar complaints and that Everfence is most likely out of business. Due to Everfene's unwillingness to correct the installation and materiel defects for almost 2 years, which forced me to pursue legal action against them. I do not believe, nor do I feel comfortable with them being on my property in order to repairs. In addition, it is apparent that they lack the proper skills to repair the defects based on the poor workmanship of the current fence/gate system. the CSLB rewarded me the sufficient funds in order for me to contract to a fence/gate contractor of my choice so that I can be assured that the repairs are completed correctly. DO NOT have them install your fences and gates. You do not want to have to go through what I have been dealt with them. read more

I do not recommend this company. The initial work on my fence and gates was sloppy--posts were poorly mounted, and the double gate kept opening in the wind. It leaned and wobbled within a month. I was told I was responsible for cementing the ground, but Mark knew I had gravel and didn't mention I'd need to pay an extra $4,000 to cement the area. It took three months to fix; the second team did an excellent job, stabilizing the posts and adding a bar to prevent wind opening. They also replaced the side fence to block access over the retaining wall. While the issue is finally resolved, they made me feel like I was doing them a favor. I didn't hear back from them, I called many times and he said ok it is coming, but after 2 weeks of waiting he texted me saying that the company can't drill the concrete to put the post, and they can't drill on a tile without breaking it! I got a quote for a fence and signed the contract, sending them half the amount for deposit. A few weeks later they tell me the fence I want is actually 2X the price I was quoted. I showed them the price in the contract I signed, and they told me that price was just an "estimate". Excuse me? I told them I want a refund. That was one month ago and I still have not received my refund. My emails and texts to my project manager have gone unanswered. The sales email on their website bounces back as undelivered. The phone number on their local office hangs up automatically. I will need to pursue legal avenues soon if I cannot get in touch with anyone. What an awful company. read more

I had my gate replaced in March 2025 by EverFence. It took them two tries to somewhat get it right. I called them back in June 2025 for warranty work since the boards were splitting and the gate was leaning. They replaced the gate with a brand new gate and skimped on the hardware holding the hinges onto the gate. I called and spoke to Hannah in May 2026 for MORE warranty work since the gate is leaning and the hinges have become detached from the posts/gate. Hannah informed me they are extremely busy at the moment and won't be able to get to it for about a month. June 2026 comes and goes, I do not hear from Hannah. I attempt to call/text multiple times and get no response. I attempt to call the El Cajon office, and they do not accept phone calls. I attempt to contact the salesperson, Mike, who again doesn't answer my calls. I attempt to contact other EverFence offices in California to see if they are even in business and none accept phone calls. I feel this company might not be in business any longer. I hope not because their value is absolute zero between poor customer service and having to rebuild my gate three times just to have it break once again. read more

This company has the worst communication. For the price, I would expect way better service, it it seems like there is no point to having a warranty. We had our gate installed a year ago and a month in it started having problems with alignment. It took so much back and forth to get them to come back out, they fixed it within a few minutes, or so we thought. 3 months later...its misaligned again and took even longer for them to even email us back. It doesn't seem like they are going to send anyone out at this point, they just keep saying "we're doing our best. We have only been able to talk to Hannah the project manager, and she is terrible at giving updates. Now, we are forced to have another company fix it out of pocket. Timely service & quality work. I saw their advertisement online and decided to give them a try. I Filled out my info online (fence length) and I received a call within a few days. Had a sales rep (Hannah) come by later in the week to take measurements & give me a quote. The quote matched the quote I was give online so I proceeded to have them install a fence. Workers were out in about 1 week later. They came out, tore out my old fence & installed the new fence just the way I wanted & hauled away the old fence. The quality of the workmanship looks great. Although, I have a small patio, John got me my numbers and ran a couple of options and even provided me samples to ensure the color matches to my HOA requirements. Then they weren't able to have a person do a physical consultation over the weekend, so they suggested a virtual appt where they could use satellites and based on our needs for materials, provide us with a quote. We also needed to work with multiple neighbors who were covering different finances. The workmanship was very poor. The fence posts and boards are far from plumb and make the fence look old and like it's already falling over. I did see this before I signed off but the job was finished and the whole fence including posts would have had to be taken down and put up again correctly. I let it go and signed off. I later realized the latch was extremely long, much longer than it needed to be. It protrudes at head and eye level creating a serious safety hazard. The latch extends into a walkway, where someone walking past the gate could walk into it. When I called I was told I had signed off and it would now cost $200 to replace the latch with a shorter one. I do not recommend on all counts. Poor quality of materials, poor customer service, poor value, and poor installation. read more
