Food tasted extremely good and very fresh. Wait for food was kinda slow, BUT there's also only one guy manning the counter and kitchen, so patience is key for great food with short staff. Quiet place and peaceful sitting in here alone on Easter Sunday. 10/10 local hidden spot. Don't let outside deceive you. 6 stars really

It's been several years since my first visit to this place. I know I said in my first review I would be back a lot. I'm kicking myself I have many been back in 6 years. I am hoping to make it more of a regular stop from here on out. The interior has changed, it's a smallish cafe setting, but it's comfortable and clean. The guy behind the counter was knowledgeable of the menu, friendly, helpful and great at customer service. Our food came fairly quick. It was hot and fresh. And tasted good. The fries are crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. I had a chicken shawarma gyro. It was tasty. Highly recommend this place.

Food was good. And well seasoned. I did have a minor complaint with the temperature of the gyros. They are made to order but I believe they don't have them on a grill top or spic to get the meat extra hot. Once the cool vegetables are put on the cold Taziki sauce, the overall temperature comes down. so I do recommend a change with that. The spot is small and cute, I do believe they're fairly new too. So please be patient. And support a small business

omg!! Don't be deceived by the outside!

Outside may look a bit rough, but inside is incredible. Food is absolutely amazing, and the service is top-notch. Now in my must stop for a bite or to-go on way out of Olympia!

Like other reviews have stated, the appearance isn't fancy, but we wanted to give it a try. We ordered the Greek fries and a lamb gyro. I fully intended to take a before and after picture, but instead we ate it so fast that we only got a picture of the aftermath. DELICIOUS! Wow. Gonna get a couple gyros to go. Highly recommend!

Specifically said no cheese like cmon.

Not worth. I got the beef gyro & smiley sunrise smoothie (supposedly coconut/peach/mango) but this food took over 30 min to make. The smoothie is straight up thick like Naked Juice consistency and it tastes like chocolatey banana and I'm really hoping they didn't make me the peanut butter banana smoothie bc I can't have peanuts. I also asked for "no cheese" on the gyro and they still added the Feta cheese to it. Overall, not a fan and upset that my order got completely wrong. Edit.** I confirmed using my sister but the shake is definitely the PB shake and now I'm dying on the toilet.

Food was great, staff was friendly and chill, prices weren't crazy minus the baklava. Wish the portions were a little bigger.

Best gyro I have ever eaten. Cute little spot on the West Side. A bit chilly on a damp winter day, but so dang good it makes up for being cold.

Lamb gyro.... little sauce and im used to onion being on there ?

Probably really more like 2.5! Had such high hopes however this place didn't deliver. The serving sizes for the price was just okay, felt a bit stingy on rice especially but also meat. The hummus was lackluster. I'm used to gyros having onion? It was just lettuce and a little sauce. Tzatziki sauce very bland. Won't be coming back ):

I just ordered from here for the first time. I got the lamb gyro and Greek fries. Honestly the food was good but not great. The pitas was store bought and not made in house, and the lamb was not from a vertical rotisserie, cut thick almost cubed and the gyro lacked the veggies a gyro typically has (red onion) The lamb was tender though, but not very flavoful. The fries were not that great. Normal frozen crinkle cut fries with tzatziki and feta, pretty soggy. The food lacked love and authenticity that one one get going to Greece. Would I eat here again? Probably not. It was basic. I expected better.

The small fries for $5 are the equivalent of a large handful. The gyro is mediocre at best.

The atmosphere is the real standout. If you're in the area, The Owl's Nest is a café I'd highly recommend.

We somehow spaced it that the cafe served only plant based food and only realized it after we took couple of bites because the food had unpleasant aftertaste. The pros: 1. Appreciate the support for LGBTQ 2. Appreciate the idea of "plant based" food 3. Nice atmosphere The cons: 1. The 12 oz cup of tea and the 16 oz cup of latte were served in the 12 oz mugs. We paid for a 16 oz latte. 2. Early Grey was of poor quality. Not much flavor. 3. The scones tasted ok, but not like true traditional scones. I presume it is because they are plant based. 4. Shortly after eating a sundried tomato scone I started feeling nauseated and developed a headache which lasted for several hours after. I do not have food allergies, I do though react poorly to heavily processed food. Knowing my body very well this makes me wonder about the quality of ingredients used. Plant based food is a very noble idea and is better for health and environment when in its natural form (olive oil, veggies, whole grains, etc.), but unfortunately some products are often very heavily processed (plant based butter, cheese, etc.). I have no idea what those scones were made of. I will not eat other scones after this experience. 5. I took a bite of hubby's panini. It had an unpleasant aftertaste. 6. We paid for 3 scones. The cashier gave us only two. I thought that the third one would be brought out shortly with the rest of the order so I let the cashier to attend to the line behind us. When the 3rd scone wasn't brought out I approached the counter to ask about it. Another person that was standing there asked me if I paid for it.......Seeing so much suspicion on their face I told the person that I would like to wait for the cashier to see if she would remember me placing an order. To which that person responded - I believe you......This was not a pleasant experience and this is not sound customer service if you ask me. Instead of taking responsibility and checking their system, they made me feel like I was trying to get free food. A professional business should always prioritize making the customer feel heard and valued, rather than putting them on the defensive. The OK: Coffee was just ok. I personally wouldn't come back for it. Overall this is not my cup of tea. I wouldn't come back.
