The problem is, I keep going to eat there on Sundays, and they're closed . . . Isn't EVERY day the Lord's day? Anyhoo, leaving the Renaissance Faire, where to eat? The girl said "Chick-fil-A". There are several around Conroe, and I happened to spot this one at the Montgomery City Limit. So here we went. The kinda small parking lot was nearly full, and the restaurant was not full, so be ready to walk a little. The usual smiling staff, always ready to help. Kids play area. We had our usual sammies; in my case, Spicy Chicken Deluxe with pepperjack cheese (I like my spice). The food was as good as any other CfA I've been to, not knock-your-socks-off-wow good but still good. Chick-fil-A wants you to have a good experience. We did. It's a good franchised stop in the Lake Conroe area. And if you're hungry but today is Sunday . . . well, where's the nearest Popeye's?

Walk up counter service with a menu split neatly into cold cut and oven baked sandwiches. Going with the Devito, my mind was thoroughly blown by how flavorful the red sauce and meats were all together, it had a combination of textures from the crusty bread cured cuts that made it fun to chew through every bite. My Stallone was also just such a pleasant mix of flavor with the pesto playing a bigger role on the cold cut options. This is one of the places where I feel like you can spin the wheel and get a winner with whatever fate decides. Things seem pretty easy and affordable here. Portions were pretty big here and around $12-$15 a sandwich, more than enough for a single person with some for a midnight snack later. There's a good bit of seating inside with some red gingham table clothes to eat over. It's worth the visit if your in Montgomery or after a day on the Lake!

Food came out at a decent speed, only to find the chili cheese dog cold and the onion rings EXTREMELY salty. My husband's food seemed to be warmer than mine and the fries, better. Twice I have witnessed the same worker use her DIRTY gloves to make sandwiches. Once you use your gloves to do anything other than putting sandwiches together, you need to get new gloves. Don't use your gloves to "clean up" around your workspace and then use those same gloves to make the sandwiches. Don't have gloves on while using a dirty towel to "clean up" around your workspace and then not get new gloves before you continue to make sandwhiches. But the latest issue was last night when a young teenage worker used his towel to clean the tables, then he bent down and wiped a huge portion the FLOOR with the towel, and then he continued to wipe the table with that same towel! You never know what you will end up with. We've been to locations with over flowing trash, where we quad to clean off a table because none were clean even though no one else was there. And where the bathrooms were disgusting and were probably a health department cause to shut the location down. /-/------- Well I did not have time to ask that this meal be fixed so I tossed most of it out. The taco tortillas were cold , the special chicken would have been better if not old and lukewarm. The fajita veggies were plentiful but cold. The pico and salsa were cool, which is correct but loaded onto a cold taco didn't help. So the food sucked. Half the tables were dirty almost the entire time we were there. We didn't feel very welcome by the server, who didn't seem very friendly or upbeat. So, we generally like Chipotle food, but not here where the employees really don't care for the quality of food served or customer service. Stay away.
