It is truly addicting, you will not want to miss even one day of class. For $60 a month you get unlimited classes, which are held Tuesday through Thursday at 6am, 5:30pm, and 6:30pm - that's only $5 a class. She will push you to your limits and then some, and you will do more in her class than you ever dreamed possible. And each class is completely different, you will always be challenged by the diversity. She runs the class in a way that all fitness levels are welcomed and are able to complete the class, and there are some extremely fit people in class as well who are also challenged by the workout. She is emphatic about all classmates treating each other with respect and encouragement. Believe me, you will appreciate the encouragement, since some days when you get home from class it will be a tough decision, whether you want to eat dinner or puke. :) Dawne goes above and beyond the role of trainer, is extremely supportive of all her boot campers, and is a great person at heart and a great friend. She sends out a monthly newsletter that has nutrition information, race information, fun profiles of your classmates, and all kinds of inspirational quotes and sayings. There are lots of other boot camps out there (and lots of others at Spotts Park where we meet), but believe me when I tell you this is THE BEST ONE IN HOUSTON!!

I've partaken in my share of different bootcamps around Houston, and this is BY FAR THE BEST WORKOUT I've ever had the painful pleasure of experiencing. Dawne is great at mixing it up and keeping you on your toes. This is the only bootcamp I would personally recommend.

I've been coming to OTF Midtown for years, and it's still one of my favorite ways to stay active…read more The studio is well-designed, especially if they were ever to run a 3G class--there are 17 treadmills, 17 rowers, and 17 benches, so the space can easily accommodate a full class without feeling cramped. While I used to go multiple times a week, I've now locked into a routine of once a week, mixing it in with outdoor runs, bike rides, and trips to the Y. What I appreciate most is that even though all OTF locations follow the same daily workout plan, the coaches at Midtown make it feel more personal. They're great at offering encouragement, checking your form, and helping you get the most out of every session. Classes are never too packed, which gives it a more focused and manageable feel, and the front desk and staff are always helpful and welcoming. There have been a few break-ins in the area, but the studio has taken good precautions--mag-locking the door and only opening it for members, and providing lockers with locks. I definitely recommend using them if you bring anything valuable. Overall, it's a solid, well-run studio that keeps me coming back.

Ashley at the front desk was super friendly, engaging, and welcoming. She set up a cute sig. The coach Ross was super friendly as well motivating and encouraging during the workout. Grateful for my experience there.

Sweating, running, push-ups, pull-ups, etc., and being expected to complete the series of assigned exercises? You probably also remember the last time you were able to do all those things with ease when you were 12. Well, Body Camp is like that. As an adult, I appreciate the simplicity of conditioning your body by using your own strength and resistance. No gym, no weights, just good old-fashioned physical labor. For me, SEAL PT is the best workout. I took classes years ago, but moved and had to drop out. I'm hoping to achieve this time around what I did then, which is to get into the best shape of my life. Graduating to the more difficult Boot Camp and eventually becoming a Lifer would be great, too. The camaraderie and results can't be found in a gym. As a side note, Instructor Harris is not boring! At least my body doesn't think so - three days straight of his workouts required multiple Advils just to function.

I've been to Zumba and Nightclub cardio, both of which are a blast. The hour flies by, and you've had a great workout before you know it. The folks that work out here are super nice too. Recently began taking intermediate level salsa dance lessons here. Overall I give 4 stars based on…read morethe location, instruction, reasonable cost of lessons, and spacious venue, as well as a very friendly atmosphere! Hector, Sarah, & Claudia Vasquez are the instructors. Hector is a straight to the point person, and keeps the class moving on schedule. We were able to knock out a fairly complex dance routine in one hour. I consider the routine upper intermediate considering the speed of the steps required to finish the pattern. If you are new to salsa, this would have been a difficult pattern to figure out. We had time to practice during the lesson with multiple partners. You don't need to bring any dance partner with you, many of the students came solo. The lesson started at 9:30 pm on Tuesday and we finished around 10:30. What I really liked was they started playing music right after and opened the dance floor to practice some more. And they offered wine, crackers, and cheese to socialize & schmooze as well. Nice touch. CultureBeat held a salsa social dance here last night. It's a BYOB with $10 cover, and Although the rain was pouring, people were flocking in. Lots of dance space, and slick dance floor. They played salsa, bachata, and kizomba as well... And again great atmosphere! Worth mentioning, the venue has its own parking lot however, the building is located east of down town in a not so great neighborhood, and that's the only reason I did not give a full 5 stars. Otherwise, as I always say, Viva La Salsa!!
