I asked for a 30 minutes full body massage and asked them to focus on the pain in my hip. After the 30 minutes was done I mentioned to the guy that he never once touched my hip and infact only touched my back. They then proceeded to say that "the 30 minute full body massage means back only". I then brought this up to the person up front and she said yeah that's how it is you should've gotten an hour and didn't even apologize. I gave this place another shot. I specifically called and asked for a female for my foot massage. Showed up and confirmed a female was available. They got me settled in and a male did the service. No mention as to why.. he just started the service. I didn't make a big deal about it. It's just a preference but the fact that my request was totally disregarded showed a lack of respect for the customer. I could let it go but last time I was there I couldn't find the person who did my foot massage so I left the tip on the desk. I get to my car then realized he had run out and followed me to my car and was yelling "Tip! Tip! Tip!" I told him I left it on the desk. He thought I just left without tipping. These things combined with the workers just talking throughout the experience and me being about 12 inches away from a stranger snoring as I'm getting my message just doesn't make for a very welcoming and relaxing environment. I've gone here several times over the years but there are a few reflexology and massage places on the same block that I've had friends recommend, so I won't be returning here. read more

Nice place to get a get massage went in a group of four and accommodates us all although one of us had a late start about 17 minutes in she finally had her massage going , I like that it was dimmed wish the music was a little louder to drown out the sounds of other customers wish I had the actually head/ scalp massage rub and and actually back and shoulder massage instead of the pressing on it but the foot rub was excellent I could of had that done all day! Came here for the first time over the weekend. I was greeted right away and taken without an appointment. I did the 60 minute reflexology with 30 minute back combo. So basically the set up is that there are 4-5 reclining chair/beds for the reflexology. Then if you keep walking there are 3-4 massage table beds for the back massages. Since mine was a combo I was seated in the reflexology area. There are no walls so you can hear noises and other people. I'm ok with it but I know some people definitely wouldn't. Also the road they are located on is very busy so if a car honks you will be able to hear. They start with soaking your feet, rubbing your head/arms/shoulders. Then they work on your legs/feet after soaking. The only thing I didn't like was when my reflexology was complete I was told to flip over. And the guy kept a towel over my back the whole time. I asked to take my shirt off because that's what they usually do at other locations and he didn't mind but it was insisted. It felt good but I definitely wouldn't have liked it as much if I kept my long sleeve shirt on for that part. It seemed like everyone that was coming in was there for the back massages and those tables. I will have to try that next time! My combo was $45 and they charged $1 since I used a debit card. Place is very clean, staff is very friendly and responsible (which can't be understated in today's world...). I've only ever gone for a full body massage so I can't comment on any of the foot treatments, but I will say this. I've never left here disappointed, but I have left sometimes wanting more... in other words, there's no level of consistency. Sometimes you get a good massage, sometimes you get a great massage, but it's luck of the draw... and let's be honest, you can't really beat the price. read more

I like this place overall, but I think your service can depend on who is giving you your massage. I always ask for a lot of pressure because my back is all knotted from sitting at a desk all day. I've had the same young man massage me three times and only one time did he really apply as much pressure as I requested. I always go at the end of the day though, so I understand if he himself may be tired. Regardless, this place is clean, quiet, efficient, but please realize it is no-frills. If you want Red Door, go to the next town over. If you want a decent massage at a decent price, then come here. Also, please don't make the same dumb mistake I did when I first entered - I spoke at a normal volume because I did not realize there was only a curtain partition for the customers. Terrible facial. My sister and I made an appointment for two deep cleaning facials. They had one girl working on both of us bouncing back and forth. Far from a deep cleaning facial. Barely did any extraction. Did not rub my neck which is common for a facial, but instead did a very weird belly rub? Will not be going back. read more

My absolute favorite place to go. Been going regularly since they opened a few years ago. Clean, courteous and great massages. It can be a little chatty Kathy at times with patrons who come in and CLEARLY don't care that others are relaxing because they are speaking loudly. It's nestled in the town of Merrick where entitlement and privilege makes most of the community members unaware that other people's needs are just as important. Especially the need for quiet important, obviously in of all places a massage parlor. That has nothing to do with the establishment, because they are accommodating and actually speak in whispered tones. You'd think some people would get the hint. Love this place. I been coming here since they opened years back. They get the job done. The price is good and the massage is good. Only thing I wish was different was the talking, every time I go in for a massage lots of side conversations happen, there are no walls, just curtain dividers so you hear every peep. I think while there are customers the talking to should down to a minimum. So here's how it goes, you can walk in or make an appointment. Once you go inside, you're greeted and asked what you would like done. If you want a foot massage you will sit up front. If you're getting a back rub/body massage, you will be taking to a bed in the back behind the curtains where you will get undressed (except panties or boxers or what ever you use) and lay face down until your masseuse comes in and covers you with a towel. I recommend this place to every one I know who lives in the area. I absolutely love it here. read more

DO NOT COME HERE!!! As soon as we walked in I emphasized that we only wanted back massages and the person that took us back kept saying "full body". On top of that, the person giving the massage was very rough and when I told them to go gentle they did NOT listen to me. Also I told them to not massage my feet and the person still did it. I was very uncomfortable the whole time and felt like I was being touched in my rear end too much during the massage. To add on, they lowered my underwear too low for my liking. My masseuse didn't speak English and just started the massage. I asked her to go deeper twice(and she tried) but she could only push like 2/5 intensity at the most. My feet needed a serious rub down after attending the Labor Day weekend activities in Brooklyn. After reading the reviews from fellow Yelpers I decided to give this place a try. The facility is clean, free parking in the rear of the building and I fell asleep snoring during my massage and foot reflexology. Can you ask for anything more?? I was in need of a massage and was close by to this place. The rooms are separated with curtains and yes, you can here others getting massages. One person was even snoring when I arrived so honestly, must have been a GREAT massage. The staff is very kind and attentive. Excellent service!!! The bad part, the gentleman next to me was disturbing. It was clear he was insisting on a 'happy ending' and although his masseuse said no no no, she maintained the small talk he was giving, 'how old are you, are you single, maybe I can take you out, I didn't get anything for my birthday, maybe you can give me a nice surprise.' Even the people in other rooms kept shhhhhing them. And the best part is, he answered a call and it was his girlfriend. You can hear 'babe this, babe that'. I feel it's demeaning you're asking for a happy ending being it is an Asian owned establishment and people find it funny because it's an inside joke. And because I definitely can almost be 100% sure everyone heard what was being said, no staff members or management stopped this behavior. Another no no, I notice the curtains are not fully closed, so whoever is walking by can see the pretty much naked body on the table. This place is awesome! My friend and I both got a 60 min massage (30 min feet massage and 30 min back massage). When I walked in I was skeptical.. Dim lit room with 4 chairs in the front. Boy was I wrong! They first soak your feet in warm water while massaging your head. Then gently lay you back and begin massaging your feet. The foot massage was out of this world and they hadn't even done my back yet. I rolled on over to my stomach and was blown away by the technique. This is a go to place!!! read more

The massage was mediocre. The room was claustrophobic and I could hear everything outside and what was going on in the next "room" which was 2 feet away from me. I will not be going here again. As I was leaving I was harassed for a tip, and I left the tip on the bed because my girl went to a different customer. My best friend and I decided to both go for a 60 min Swedish massage. The place was easy to find but weirdly arranged and dark. I thought there would be private rooms but there were just curtains separating you from the person next to you. It was a relaxing atmosphere with very nice staff. My massage was great even though she was a little TOO rough at times and bruised my shoulders. The next day my friend friend gasped from the bathroom because she had bruising on her back from the woman massaging her to rough. During the massage we both asked for them to ease up and be more gentle more than once but we both still ended up with bruises??!! I'm pretty sure this is not supposed to happen. read more

This was easily the worst experience I have ever had in a spa before. I walked into people in an open room and there was no paperwork to be filled out. I was never asked what kind of massage I wanted or how long I wanted the massage to be. The woman came in and would massage my neck (way too hard might I add) and then leave. This happened about 3-4 times within the first 5 minutes! Then the phone rang and she massaged my back with one hand and spoke on the phone with another! As I got up to leave, she held me down and told me to stay. She massaged way too hard and fast for the Swedish massage that I asked for to the point where it was almost painful. Then she started massaging my face with oil, which I told her not to because my face breaks out easily. She continued to do so and then what do you know, it broke out. She rubbed oil into my scalp and I could light a grease fire on my head from the amount of oil she used. After all of this, she tried to charge me for a facial I didn't want. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. Spend the extra money and go to a real place that will take care of you. read more

I am fairly concerned with the experience I had at Everyday Spa in Merrick. Usually when you enter a spa, you fill out paperwork. This includes not only your information, but what type of massage you're looking for (if you like a deep tissue, a more softer massage, etc.) and any areas that you'd like them to focus on/use caution (if you had an injury). This spa does not - they take you back to a table with a curtain around it where you barely have any privacy and can hear every footstep/word of the others in the space. I undressed, got under a towel - not even a sheet - and was face down. I heard the curtain open and the masseuse starts the massage. The massage was good, very aggressive and deep at some points but I didn't mind. A few times when the towel was folded down off of my back, the masseuse tucked the towel into my underwear and I could feel that a part of my butt was in view. I kept pulling the towel up to cover myself which was very uncomfortable. At one point while the towel was lowered off of my back, the massage had stopped for a few moments. I heard a man walking around and speaking so I looked up to see what was going on and the curtain was wide open. This man along with anyone else walking around was able to see me lying there only covered by a towel over my butt. That was not acceptable. I pulled the curtain closed and waited for the masseuse to return. I feel a tap on my shoulder and was told to turn over by a mans voice. This was extremely alarming. I was never notified that a man was my masseuse. I felt extremely uncomfortable once I turned over and he massaged my arms. Thankfully that was the end of the massage. I paid and left and will not return for another massage. I do not like to bash places of work - but I am extremely disappointed with the style in which the massage was handled. Everyday Spa should inform each guest who will be massaging them and ensure full privacy of the guest. read more
