We have been going to and ordering from Fresh Start for over 30 years. This was my mom's place to go after her hair appointments on Fridays. Danny and everyone were like family. I work nearby and we order lunch all the time. Everyone has tried everything and there are no complaints. I order extra chripy fries and they are! Burgers are juicy, the Dan wrap is my favorite. And yes some of us order breakfast for lunch. Belgian Waffle was mom's favorite. read more

This is an excellent small restaurant open only to 3 pm and closed on Mondays. It's our go to place for breakfast or lunch. Their eggs Benedict is served 3 ways including corned beef hash, crab cake or bacon. They also have a chipotle style with avocado. All excellent. Their chili is great too. Needed to spend the morning in Twinsburg and got the chance to visit this diner. Very home-town proud, lots of people knowing each other. Similar to Jim's Open Kitchen in Solon or Aurora, and Washington Street Diner in Bainbridge. Food was okay, hence the 4-star. Ordered eggs over easy, more like over-medium. "Real" Corned beef didn't have much taste and texture. Could use more seasoning and more time in the griddle. Coffee was WEAK. I actually feel a little odd about leaving a 5 star rating on a place I've only had one menu item from but here I am. I've been here about five times now (dine in once and takeout about four times) and always get the corned beef on rye with Swiss. As for most people from the Greater Cleveland area, the gold standard for a corned beef sandwich is set by Slyman's (the original, not any of their chains) or Joe's Deli. While I still love the sandwiches from both of those places I can honestly say Fresh Start Deli's corned beef sandwiches are way better. They taste amazing! They are piled high but not quite as high as the other two places I've mentioned. However, the pricing is also significantly lower. The only complaint I have is that they close too early. read more

What a quaint but very loud diner this was. After our other option fell through, we decided to try this place. It looked like a long wait but luckily we were seated immediately, the smaller the party the better! Our waitress was great and the service was fast. Very friendly staff! The parking lot if small and an odd shape so it can get crowded at times. The diner was very loud and my least favorite thing was when they would ring this very loud bell every now and then when chef's got tips. What a dive. And it is oh so good! Is a very tiny place so when you show up and its busy you wait either just inside the door or outside on the sidewalk. We waited maybe 15 minutes for a table. Several people seem to wait on you. The person that seated us got our drinks. Someone else took our order. And a completely different person brought our food. I got the Alice Corned Beef omelet. When I read the description of the omelet I thought corned beef hash was going to be in the middle. It was cooked into the eggs. Cheese melted on top. Which is fine. It was delicious. Served piping hot and exceeded expectations. Home fries were crispy on the outside and tender inside. Great place. Great food. Great people here. Started snowing and Waze indicated an accident up ahead so we pulled over and decided to get someone to eat hoping for better roads. You got to love north east Ohio. Found Fresh Start on Yelp. Great little spot it is right off the town square, lots of local character and local characters! Food is good, about what you would expect. The food is delicious! I'm an introvert and sensitive to loud noises (see below). But I'd definitely come back for the food alone. The atmosphere needs improvement. If you're sensitive to loud noises, you should only order pickup then. They ring a cow bell when someone tips the cooks. I was there for a quick breakfast and they rang the bell 4x. It's deafening in a small place. They have limited parking and seating. read more

This place forever changed my breakfast game. Driving up it looks your typical diner. But man it's truly just a diamond in the rough. To start with it's your basic diner atmosphere - busy counter, hustling servers, rowdy kitchen, & families hanging out. All the servers are super friendly and nice. But the shining star is the food. Y'all..... the food. I got the guacamole egg benedict and my bf got the meat lovers omelet. This might be the best eggs benedict I've ever had outside of NOLA. The best veggie eggs Benedict I've had in a long time! The eggs were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was delicious. I could taste the butter on the English muffin which reminded me of my childhood meals. Maybe not the healthiest, but it definitely hit the spot. I subbed the home fries for some tomatoes slices and those were basic, but worked for me. My daughter's tuna wrap looked really good, as well. I husband's BLT was gone pretty quickly and so he must've liked it. He liked the chips that were served with it, but I thought they were just like burnt potato chips. There were no complaints on his end. Our food came out pretty quickly about 10 to 15 minutes after we ordered it. Aside from the food, the only thing I would say is that no one was wearing a mask in the entire place except for me. Also, when this old guy sat down next to us the first thing he said as he looked at me was how he cannot stand these young liberal women. Lol. So, that about sums up the vibe of the restaurant. Good, Home cooked food with that feeling you're at Grandma's house again with all of your relatives. That's all right though, I'll be back for more. read more

Living just a couple blocks away from this little gem is very convenient. It's small and cozy and the staff is always very welcoming. There are lots of great items on the menu but my go-to of late has been the crab cake Benedict. It is always prepared perfectly and the crab cakes are crispy. The coffee keeps flowing and is always excellent. If you're in town, stop by! Just be aware they close after lunch. read more

This is a nice place to get breakfast. Our waitress was very attentive and polite. So was the owner who was running food. They served the best turkey sausage links I've ever had and the owner was nice enough to tell me where he bought them. The eggs were cooked well, the bacon was flavorless, I wouldn't recommend that but, the buckwheat pancake was pretty good. My son got a skillet dish that I can't remember off the top of my head but he loved it. The home fries were legit too. Crispy on the outside and soft in the middle, perfect side. Great diner for breakfast and lunch. The food is always hot and delicious. If you tip the cooks the wait staff will ring a cowbell. The kids really seem to enjoy that. There is seating at a counter and tables and booths. It's a small place so expect to wait on the weekends. The pancakes are huge and awesome. The American fries are a house specialty. The omelettes have a lot of cheese so my order is with half cheese or light on the cheese. Great place for the family! read more

I checked this place out today after reading reviews here on yelp! I got there at about 1:30 in the afternoon (they close at 2) and they were not busy. You seat yourself, which I did, and I was greeted as I did so. I thought I would try breakfast. Sausage and cheese omelet (w/mushrooms and onions), hash browns, one pancake and coffee. My order came quickly as the waiter refilled my coffee. Nothing blew my socks off, but everything was hot and tasty. A lot of places I have been lately really skimp on the pancakes. Not this place, the one pancake I had was the diameter of the plate it was served on and probably the best one I've had in a while. I look forward to trying other things on their menu. This just seems to be a simple but solid diner with good food. My meal came to about $11 before tip. read more

The pizza crust is always a hit or miss at places with a GF crust, but the crust is a big winner here. The cheese blend pairs nicely with the sausage and pepperoni. Filling and satisfying! The burger was enjoyed. Not a favorite fir my dad, but has plenty of other burgers to get there. My brother got the Featured Italian Wrap. We all looked at his plate at how BIG it was. He had one half at the restaurant, and the other half, the next day. Wow though. This was something that didn't get shorted at all. Haley was our waitress that. A super sweet and attentive girl. She checked on our GF questions with the kitchen if she wasn't a hundred percent certain saying yes or no. Preseason football is starting, so more people began to show up to sit at the bar to watch. And they have a very busy local band schedule for the summer on their patio outside. So, check it out if you're interested. Seems like a fun place when it gets to be the warmer weather season.
