Great spot and good vibes right at Stanford! Come for karaoke nights on Saturdays. Bartenders Jason and Brian are awesome!

Food / Drink 5 Service 4…read more Ambiance 5 I don't understand these reviews. This is a pub, pure and simple. It's an excellent pub at that. Pre-pandemic I worked in downtown Palo Alto. I and others on my team were regulars here. Food: TBH, it's all about the deviled eggs. The menu is tiny, and traditional pub fair. They aren't trying to be fancy and they aren't trying to earn any Michelin stars. They're delivering exactly what you should come to expect here and places like it. I respect any place that pours a proper pint. They also have a fine selection of bourbon, whiskey, and scotch. This is not the place for mixologists and craft cocktails. This is the place for people who know what they want to drink and actually enjoy the alcohol. Service: I was there around 4:30 - 5 o'clock and there were only a couple people at the bar. It looked like it could have been a shift change. Clearly the bartenders knew regulars. However, they didn't seem to be very interested in chatting up any new customers. My guess is they did not build this regular clientele, but rather inherited it. I grew up in the industry and was behind the bar for about 12 years. Yes, I learned all the fancy drinks and had an amazing cadre of condiments including those fancy little umbrellas. This is the kind of place where I would prefer to work myself. The kind of place where community comes together and good bartenders remind us all that pubs have long been in the business of solving the loneliness crisis and building friendships.

The food is great as well and he has NOT raised his prices by much over the years. Whereas most of the other restaurants in town and up and down the coast have raised prices, the portion sizes have gotten smaller and there are no longer any local discounts. Also remember that this is PUB food, so people shouldn't expect Michelin Star dishes. There are so many great dishes on the menu that I can't even quote them all (favorites of mine are the chili, onion ring tower, burgers/fries and the fish and chips. It is good down home family fun for all and he also has sports on all of the time on multiple tv's. This truly is a hidden gem and time capsule that has survived for decades and will probably keep going strong long after some of these high priced, fancy food places have gone out of business. This truly is the Disneyland of PUBS in the US. I highly recommend checking out this pub because you're gonna get a lot more than just food and drink!

When trying to decide where to get dinner on Main Street, we couldn't make a decision. My husband suggested Cameron's so we drove over. Dog Friendly: Lucked out with a spot in front of the patio! Lucked out with a table (anywhere) to sit with our dog. They offer water bowls and toys to play with while we're dining. My dog was able to chill for the most part (larger dogs make our rescue pup nervous) but he liked the couple behind us. Eclectic: It's a cool place with different dining areas. They were setting up for Karaoke (Friday/Saturday nights). There's so much to explore with all the knick knacks. The playlist in the dining room area was a wide range of music - I don't know how to explain it but you're listening to "It's a Small World" and then "Sweet Caroline!" You have to see it for yourself. The gender assigned restrooms are located in between the pinball machines. I literally walked outside and then walked back in when I finally found it and was embarrassed! Food: We split the special of the day - prime rib sandwich, but my husband was still hungry and we split a sampler platter. The food was what I expected - pub grub but it was worth it with the vibe. Drink: I usually don't drink but their cocktails were really good. I forgot what I had but it was the rum based drink. Overall, I hope I don't wait another 10 years to return - that was a great ending to our day trip to Half Moon Bay.

First night was a Thursday. I ordered the fish and chips which were ok. Nothing spectacular. The scene was dead and there was maybe only 7-10 other people in the entire pub. Second night I came was on a Saturday. I only ordered drinks. There was a bigger crowd but barely, 15-20 people. Overall my opinion of this place is positive and yet I was disappointed that it wasn't better. It's in a great location. There's hotels and condominiums in the area all within walking distance. The atmosphere is great. The staff is awesome! It has so many positive aspects that should make it a regular hangout spot but for some reason it's failing. I'm giving it 5 stars because I feel it deserves better. People should give this place a shot. There is a dart board that is free to play which I think is awesome. A big patio area for large parties. The beer prices are very reasonable. Suggestion to the establishment: They have an AMI juke box, but on both nights the volume was turned down pretty low which kind of made me feel like I wasn't getting my money's worth. Turn it up!!! This place needs to figure out if it wants to be a restaurant that serves beer or be a bar that serves food. Personally I think it needs to realize that it needs to focus on being a bar. There's 15 other restaurants within walking distance from here and that food is 100 times better. This place should focus on getting the customers that leave those restaurants for after meal drinks.

Trophies, little league decor on the walls, arcade games, a pool table, its very nostalgic. There's also a nice outdoor patio if you want fresh air. They've got plenty of beers on tap, plus cocktails and wine. You order at the counter, and there's basically an assembly line of cooks pumping out food. They hand you one of those buzzer things that goes off when your order's ready. Wait time wasn't bad at all. We ordered a 9-inch pizza, a burger, chicken tenders, and a French dip. The food was solid, but nothing crazy. The pizza came out nuclear hot, almost burnt myself haha. The burger was pretty plain. The tenders were decent. The French dip was probably the standout, actually pretty fire. Overall, the food is fine, not bad, just kind of mid. This place is more about the vibe than the cuisine. It's basically an overhyped sports bar with classic bar food. But also a Menlo Park staple to kick back and have a few drinks.

When it comes to any business that sells and/or serves alcohol, nothing, and I mean NOTHING,…read morecompares to a British and/or Irish pub. St Stephen's Green is an Irish pub that is a Mountain View mainstay and institution. It's been here for a long time, and it's a great place to drink a pint, munch on some food and shoot the breeze with friends. We decided to haul ass down here for the USA vs. Belgium World Cup match. Presently, for World Cup reservations, they have to be made at least 12 hours in advance and are $50/person (which you can redeem for drinks and food on the day of your reservation). We got here fairly early and sat in some free seats near the front entrance. Before long, the place was a zoo, but it didn't matter. The atmosphere and camaraderie were still electric. Despite the atrocity of a loss by team USA, great fun was still had. Their menu, I should note, is extensive with a number of both Irish and non-Irish food and drinks. On my visit, I started with a simple club soda which progressed to a glass of Guinness beer and some Guinness beer cheese pretzels which I split with my friends. The pretzels and the accompanying sauce were delicious. The club soda and Guinness were as good as can be had anywhere. Prices, admittedly, are not the cheapest here though. For two club sodas, two Guinness beers, and one order of the beer cheese pretzels, the total bill (without tip) came to approx. $47-48. Service was good but could have been a little bit more organized. When I was closing my tab, my server ran off just as I began to sign my receipt, and I was unable to get a copy for myself. Not a huge deal I suppose as the pub was awash with patrons on the inside and outside. But I will say this: When I made a few phone calls a day or two before to ask a few questions about reservations and seating, each person I spoke to on the phone was really friendly and answered my questions clearly and with no hesitation or confusion. Some might think that such an experience like that isn't too remarkable, but, in a day and age of picking up the phone and talking to a computer and/or having to deal with poor customer service, this was a breath of fresh air. For those who plan to come for the remaining World Cup matches, if you do NOT have a reservation, be sure to walk around and see if there are any available tables (both inside and outside) that do NOT have a sign saying "reserved." If you're lucky to find one, you can sit there. If the table is indeed reserved, you can't sit there unless the amount of chairs at that table is greater than the amount of people for whom the table is reserved (which is noted on tables that are reserved.) There are a number of free seats up front that are first come, first served (which is where we sat), but they do NOT allow you to save seats for others. So I highly recommend that, if you plan to meet up with others, you arrive TOGETHER and EARLY. They recommended that we arrive at least one hour before the match started, which is great advice and served us well. Overall, if you're looking for a solid Irish pub in the South Bay, I highly recommend Green. SUPPORT LOCAL AND/OR SMALL BUSINESSES. 4 stars

Absolutely outrageous pricing; the worst part is, they originally served us 14 wings instead of the 21 we ordered, and still had the gall to charge us $64 for them. The drink service was also incredibly slow. We waited 15-20 minutes for our first round of two beers. The wings themselves were also subpar; other local places or even Wingstop are miles better. I remarked on wanting to try their Irish pub entrees sometime, but that won't be happening after this visit. Our waitress did comp us two drinks for the service. However, when she brought us the receipt only one was comped, and she only comped the second after we pointed it out.
