Cotopaxi is a mission driven merchandise movement. Cotopaxi stands behind supporting refugees (IRC) in times of need. Knowing that helped me choose Cotopaxi as my #1 outdoor gear shopping store. I own several Cotopaxi items, my favorite ones are a hybrid jacket and 28L backpack (i.e. suitcase interior backpack). Cotopaxi is one of the most unique shopping destinations in San Francisco with a very powerful mission statement.

    My correctly sized fuego hoodie

My family got me their Fuego hoodie for my birthday. They ordered the hoodie online, by happen chance, there was a one-off labeling issue and I ended up with the wrong size when it got to my door. I decided to bring it into this store to see what they thought. I spoke with Matthew and he was extremely accommodating. He made sure I was taken care of with the correct size. While doing so he took the time to explain the product and how to best use it. All in all, Im impressed with his customer service, professionalism and overall eagerness to tend to clients. I will definitely come back to this location for anything other adventure wear.

Love Love ... LOVEEEE Cotopaxi. The vibrant and bright colors (FYI : Color Therapy is a thing haha ) Minimal, clean interior .... The concept, the philanthropy (Philanthropy it's my heart), the friendly & helpful folks, fair prices, soft 'DO GOOD' tees, quality of all the products is EXCEPTIONAL. It's ALL GOOD .. (Pun intended, ;) ) Also, love the fact that they are super involved in doing much for the community not just outside the community. It's always an honor to support a WORTHY IDEA. DO GOOD! I WILL LEAVE YOU WITH THIS AMAZING QUOTE!!- Go into the world and do well. But more importantly, go into the world and DO GOOD. Minor Myers Jr.

Soooooo exciting to have visited the store of such a great company I have loved and supported for so long. We don't have one in Phoenix AZ yet (please come!!) but I couldn't pass up the chance to visit here when I was hiking in Park City. If you don't know Cotopaxi yet- you must go to their website and read their mission and purpose- amazing not to mention their quality, packs and clothing are the best! And masks are the most comfortable I own!!! They are reversible and adjustable so say goodbye to sore ears or itchy noses or not enough fabric to cover your face! - Cotopaxi has this all taken care of!!!

I had heard of Cotopaxi but didn't know anything about. While browsing at their store I learned much about their mission and I am very impressed with their business model--their responsibility to help in the countries where they do business, to be ecological responsible, to provide good quality, and to guarantee their products. They have some products that I really liked--their t-shirt material is very soft, their jackets are very light, and their Del Dia line that uses remnant material with no two items being exactly the same is impressive. I was disappointed with two products. Their Libre sweater made of "ultra soft llama fiber" was not that soft. I crochet with 100% llama fiber and the fiber is sublimely soft so I was expecting that same level of softness. I was also disappointed with the construction of the Luzon Del Dia 18L back pack. I liked that it had a draw string opening but it was pretty impossible to pull the draw string to completely close the opening. I was debating between the 16L Batac Del Dia backpack with the zippered opening and the Luzon backpack. I had to go with the Batac because I needed a pack that was easy to close completely.

Then you have people like me that are in that perennial gray area between a 40R and a 40S, where the short is too short, but the regular is just a tad too long. Where the waist on the pants fits, but the pant legs are too tight or the pockets flare out massively because there is no adjustment made for wider hips. Enter Beckett & Robb. Made to measure from head to toe. I came to know of this place because my classmate's brother is the head guy in the downtown SLC location. Let me tell you this, Tanner knows his stuff. I know my way around a suit fairly well, but what Tanner knows if far and beyond my knowledge. I was a little hesitant at first because I didn't think they'd be able to cut my suit just right, but thankfully I was wrong. I ordered a black suit for a wedding. The price beat what Nordstrom and other retailers were offering for similar suits, but the biggest selling point is that it was designed specifically for me. Once the suit was ready (5-6 weeks later, don't expect a quick turn around time), I went in for a trial fitting where any final adjustments could be made. I sort of freaked out when the pants didn't fit because I thought it couldn't be fixed. I go back a week after alterations and they fit amazing. The suit looks great. The price, in my opinion was very reasonable, and the style of suit I got was something I wasn't able to find anywhere else. Best thing yet, when you're ready for a new suit, they have all your measurements so all you have to do is pick out your fabric and style and you're all set, unless you either gained or lost a lot of weight.

One of the differences as opposed to California is that they carry Stiletto Knives, Also Known As CIA Gravity Knives. They are approximately 4.5 inches long and the blade deploys and retracts from the grip using a dual throw (Forward and Back) button or switch. Very cool! Don't worry California, I did not buy one, as cool as they are. Yup, all of the fun stuff is illegal in California, like butterfly knives, Stilettos and firearms with the "Fun Button" (Safe-Semi-Auto) on them. Sigh! One light at the end of the tunnel was "Jerry". Be nice to Jerry, he is a cool guy but if you get on his nerves, that's on you. All I can say is that he has seen some stuff and he may be the definition of "F" around and find out. Jerry is very knowledgeable and he pointed my nephew in the direction of the perfect tactical backpack, among other accessories and toys that will compliment his new career in federal law enforcement. I did not buy much, except for a memorable patch. I get one from each 5.11 I visit, just to say "Been there, my dude!" Overall, it is a large store with a lot of selection. If you are looking for some discounted or marked down winter ware, now is the time to check it out. I found a neat jacket, however I live in the Sweltering Summer portion of California and triple digit temperatures are less than a month away. So, I passed on the jacket. However, if you are Military, Law Enforcement, EMS, Fire Department, Practical Pistol Shooter, Multi-Platform (Pistol & Long Gun) competitor, or a First Responder of any kind and you need boots, pants, "Shorts", a tactical carrier (No Ballistic Plates are sold here, to my knowledge), morale patches, a quick snap tourniquet or some gym attire,... You make your way back to the store and there's more stuff to look at. I did make it to one of the back corners that had more clothes. I did find a pair of overalls that really caught my eye. They are very cute and floral but very expensive. I did notice a few sale tracks but of course I didn't find anything on them. My husband knew I really liked the overalls so he bought them for me. Honestly, I felt shoppers guilt for my husband cause of how pricy they were. They were just fabric overalls that were ankle length. 50 bucks..... I have bought Gap denim overalls at that price but 50 for denim doesn't seem unreasonable. The lady that rung us up was nice. She folded my overalls, bagged them and handed them to me in a bag. Overall it was a neat store but very overpriced. If you are willing to spend the extra bucks for their products then go for it! I know that no one else in town will have the same overalls as me which is cool. But they were pricy and I probably wouldn't have gotten them if it came out of my own pocket.
