I am addicted to their Mystic Monk and Flax Berry Blend smoothies. I swear it is like crack. I skip on the agave though. It is perfect without it. When I'm craving one I get in my car,and I drive all the way from Murrieta to get my fix. At the beginning of January my husband and I made a special trip to this fine establishment before deciding to take our liquid gold to Balboa Park. Anyways, whilst handling my car keys, wallet and the delicious goodness that Evolution blends up daily, I ended up slamming my right thumb in my car door. It was and still is so bad that I suspect my right thumbnail will never grow back. True story! I went to my primary care physician to have the nail lanced, was put on a 10 day regimen of antibiotics and then worried about candida overgrowth for about 2 weeks because of it (the antibiotics) and guess what; it was all worth it! I'd do it all over again in a second for another taste of that mystic blend. That's how invested I am in my addiction to their product. P.S. If you're an owner or co-owner of this fine establishment, I'm an RN and would make a career change in a split second to join your team...maybe even grow your business in the Temecula or Murrieta area or any other area of your liking. We come here a lot because it's good vegan 'fast' food. It might not be the healthiest, but is PERFECT for when you're craving the vegan junk food. Sometimes you don't want healthy and it's great to have this option nearby. I like sitting in the back patio and like that it's laid back. Staff is all really friendly and nice people. I've only had a few things off the menu that I would definitely not recommend like the adzuki wrap, stuffed raw veggies (if you don't like nuts), raw tofu scrambles (again it reminds me too much of eating plain almonds) and the shakes just because they're really pricey and I can make those at home. A couple things I would definitely recommend are the chili cheese fries if you're down for that sorta thing, the bbq chikn wrap, chikn tenders w/ honey mustard, fries, raw tacos (yumm), portabello sandwich. Vegan heaven! My girlfriends and I stumbled on this little piece of vegan heaven while in San Diego. First off, food is simply amazing. The flavors. The variety! I had a black bean burger custom made to my allergic self. When we came back, I got the carne asada burrito. It had fries in it...how much more amazing is that?! The register girl (who seemed new) rushed our order and our food came out all sorts of bad, but the cook or manager saw that she was struggling and stepped in. Loved the swoop and conquer customer service we received. Place has beautiful outdoor seating, no seats inside so FYI. We will be back. read more

Surprisingly good for being a vegetarian food stop though it doesn't make the grade for being amazing. The food was prepared quickly. There were mixed reviews from the people I was with when trying this place out. The fuego burger was good and actually spicy. The grilled chicken sandwich was also tasty and filling. Absolutely love this place! I love how the menu is easy to understand and nice and big to read. I've tried the chili cheese fries, the carne Asada tacos and had a few bites of my husbands carne Assad burrito, and this place has me coming back for more every time! They're consistent with their service and taste of food! Many of my friends who are not vegan love this place also so it's a great option for everyone! It's hard to find tacos as close as authentic when you're living a meatless life but this place fills that void. The seating outside is nice but it's unfortunate that a lot of the times I've been here that that the tables aren't cleaned or wiped down. I've also tried their cheese cake slices and they're lacking in sweetness but I know it's hard to make exact tasting cheese cake when it's vegan. 100% plant based vegan fast food that is delicious, cheap and fast! Located in bankers hill, lots of parking and super friendly service. Tons of choices, I asked what is their most popular items and went with the tempeh mushroom burger, chocolate milkshake, chili cheese fries, and chicken tenders. This is the best cheat meal ever and kinda doesn't count either since it's vegan! So good, this place knocks it out of the park with taste, convenience and cost. There is no reason anyone has to ever step foot in any other fast food establishment if you can get food this good at this price.....and save the environment, animals and your health! The tenders are deceiving because you almost think it's real meat, but without the cruelty and pain. The honey mustard pairs with it perfectly. Chili cheese fries, they nailed it. Oh, and the milkshake, yum! And don't forget to get a cheesecake for dessert. I would move to hillcrest just to be closer to this place. I've only been here twice, via drive thru. On my first visit, I got a beef burger with fries and tea. On my second visit, my order didn't come out right. I asked for an Evo Burger meal with a tea. They have three burger options. I wanted beef, but they gave me tempeh. I should have specified beef, but it would have been nice if they asked me, like they did last time, instead of picking one for me. I also asked for a meal, but I didn't get fries. I also asked for a side of ketchup but it wasn't included. Overall, the food is tasty and the staff is friendly. I would have given a better rating if they made a better effort to make sure my order was correct. read more

Great menu; great prices: When you think you want McD's, come here and you'll never go back. The second part is the buffet inside. It's also off the hook. Wonderful option when you're craving "fast food." Their buffalo chicken sandwich is quite tasty, indeed! A great option for vegans looking for tasty food (and a hearty serving of it!). I'm not vegan but I am health conscience so when my boyfriends friend mentioned this place was great I was excited to try it. I ordered the portobello mushroom sandwich & sweet potatoes chips, and our friend was kind enough to get me a scrumptious cupcake! The sandwich was huge, the bun was warm and fresh and all the fixings made for a great sandwich! The sweet potato chips were also fresh with just the right amount of crispiness! The cupcake was something that tasted like chocolate with a coconut/confectionary sugar frosting! I loved it!!! It was moist and delicious! I initially ordered the cheesecake, but they didn't have any left apparently :( I'm so glad that I ordered the cupcake as a fill-in for the cheesecake they didn't have. read more

Decent stop for a small meal. Some of the sandwiches are novel, and the sweet potato fries are consistently good. The gluten free bun was absolutely horrible. Some sort of dry crumbly rice based product that they should replace - I tore the sandwich apart and threw away the bread. The outdoor dinning area is sad and neglected. Oh, Evolution. The concept of a vegan drive-thru restaurant is, in itself, genius. When I finally ventured to enter this holy of holies for the first time, I was overwhelmed by all the options. There are two fridges full of pre-made goodies, and a very comprehensive menu to satiate all of your "bad food" cravings. Thus far I have tried the: Sweet potato fries (so so so good and super greasy, just as they should be), South of the Border burger, which they happily switched the burger patty for a fried chicken patty (this, this, this, I recommend this!) Raw Burger, which now that I have tried I think will be my mainstay (so I can rationalize trying their desserts/ shakes next time) This place is perfect for a weekend lunch. Close proximity to Balboa Park and Hillcrest, beautiful, relaxing outdoor seating area, and has its own parking lot (very important in this area). Two things I would change: I wish it was open later. It would be a perfect drunk munchies spot, but alas. I am left to the mercy of Mexican food at 2 am. Also, why aren't there more of them? Evolution on every block! read more

This is one of my favorite spots in San Diego. I order it for my office all the time and even the meat eaters love it! My favorite is the Bacon Cheese Burger with their "beef" patty on a cabbage bun with a side of their kale and avocado salad and sweet potato fries. Be sure you pick up a desert on your way out! My first time here and I had great expectations. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich. It was mediocre. Service was really slow. One person was working the front register & the drive through (and also handing food to the customers). Another person was making the food. It took at least 5 minutes to receive my food. Huge portion and then I get the "beef" burger to go with it and man it is a full meal for sure - but I also get the apple cobbler they have in the case - it is sooooo good as well. I visited this place on a recent trip to San Diego and loved it so much that I visited twice! I'm vegan and live in Nashville and never imagined there'd be a place like this! First off, everything is vegan. It's so awesome to be able to look at the menu and not have to inquire about each item. It was also a huge comfort that their menu normalized vegan food. There was no "chick'n," or terms used to denote vegan food at other places, it was written as if everything is normal, because IT IS! Second, everything I had was delicious! As I was eating, I kept thinking to myself, "I can't believe this is vegan!" It made me so happy that some folks put in the extra effort to create such an awesome dining experience for vegans! This is my absolute favorite place to eat in San Diego! Everything I've tried has been delicious. My favorites are the Buffalo tenders, the honey mustard chicken wrap, and the animal fries. Technically they only have the animals as the special occasionally, but most of the time if you ask for them they will make them. They are even better than In N Out's animal fries! read more
