I love the concept of breweries sharing space with food trucks in general except you get the option of THREE breweries here! In term of food, we ordered the Jessie burger & Banh Mi Hot Dog. Our FAVORITE item we always seem to order is the Jessie burger. The burger is incredibly flavorful and is feel so balanced with the kimchi and jalapenos. The Banh Mi dog is a fun Vietnamese twist of the hot dog. I love the brightness of the veggies and jalapenos but to be honest I would recommend the Jessie burger more so than the Banh Mi dog! read more

I've tried Underdog on two separate occasions, and their food is consistently delightful! From the excellent banh mi hot dog to their fabulous burgers, Underdog offers something that can cater to most anyone's craving. The food options are quite creative and filling which still being affordably priced. The owner is super cool, and I love that they're all vegan so you don't have to modify anything. They also offer specials which are amazing as well. Note that they have modified their location recently and are no longer strictly at the gas station. Oh my goodness this place is delicioussss!!! My favorite thing here is the Kimchi Cheddar Fries, they r to die for ...YUM!!! The service is great too, super nice people and I wasn't sure which sauce to try so he let me try all of them and there was no problem! I've been going to run club on Monday evenings at Seek Beer co for a few months now and have seen this vegan hot dog truck, and it's always been enticing. We finally stayed after run club and ordered some dinner and it did not disappoint. I went with the NYC Hot dog and shared the side of French fries. I loved everything. Pretty unexpected but cool spot at the corner of El Cajon and Texas. Underdog can be found at the Peking lot of a gas station. You can't miss it since it's bright red and HS a tent on the side for customers to eat under (along with a table, but no chairs) I ordered a chili cheese hot dog and thought it was okay. The dog itself was good and I enjoyed the chili, and also loved how fresh the green onions were. I do wish the cheese was melted and that the bun was more cooked. I'm definitely open to trying another item from Underdog, though! If you're someone who enjoys their hot dog buns on the toastier side, I suggest asking them to make it extra toasted here. read more

Delicious! The texture of the korean corn dogs are so crispy and on point - I'd just recommend rolling the corn dogs in a little more sugar and perhaps some salt? I think maybe my general salt intake is high since I'm used to meat hot dogs - but the vegan hot dog was a bit bland for me. I did not want to leave the hotel room when I visited the area and was looking for something light, new, and not the usual fast food. I saw Underdog nearby so ordered some through Grubhub. Didn't realize they were vegan which really surprised me as I was reading the reviews. We were so looking forward to trying this place after reading all the amazing yelp reviews. After coming back from out of state hubby took me here as a surprise. This was a Sunday when they were parked in North Park by a few brew houses. The selection looked great and we each ordered two dogs apiece and split a bag of fries. We each got a Danger Dog and the NYC. The Danger Dog was great. Lots of flavor and the peppers were not hot. I can see why it is a guest favorite. The fries were enough for both of us and tasted great. The disappointment came with the NYC dog. It really lacked flavor considering it had sauerkraut on it and spicy brown mustard. It was the blandest sauerkraut I have ever tasted. The service was great. The staff were really friendly and helpful. 4 dogs and an order of fries came to $43.00. Slightly higher than expected. They do not sell drinks. We do not drink beer or soda and that was mainly the choice where they were parked. One of the breweries did allow us glasses of water. There was plenty of seating. We didn't have far to park and walk. I really wanted to give better than a 3 star review but I will have to come back and try some other menu items that can get my review stars higher. read more
