Katlyn is a miracle worker. Even with a mask on the whole time- she managed to get my hair cut and colored to perfection. She listened to what I wanted- but also helped to guide me to a cut she knew I'd love (that was just a tiny bit different from what I thought I wanted.) Her expert advice on hair care products was much appreciated as I've been having some concerns with fading color and dry hair. I highly recommend checking out this cute salon & it's amazing staff. Lifesaver! I walked into Megan with a mess, lots of broken hair and severe damage from going platinum. I've gone to Emma for years and every time she does my hair I leave happier than the last. Her knowledge and attention to detail is unmatched - she literally knows my hair better than I do. I have a lot (and I mean A LOT) of hair so not every style is realistic for me to upkeep on the daily so Emma always advises me through whatever drastic style change I'm requesting to make sure I'm happy with the results. Not only is she so good at what she does but I feel like I'm hanging out with a friend whenever I'm in her chair. I cannot say enough good things about Emma and how she's taken care of my hair over the years! You're in amazing hands when you're in her chair! read more

First of all the drive to Evolve from Santa Clara was breath taking. The salon was beautiful and clean, yet still relaxed. Brenda is just so cool; she's down to Earth and an amazing artist. I've been going to her for a while and she definitely has an eye for balance and color; the only person I trust with my hair. Waited 30 mins for a stylist who never showed up. I did get a confirmation email days before. Apparently Melissa did text me last night but it was not the right number (probably my own fault). Owner and receptionist seemed nice but shouldn't they know that their stylist wont be in? I didnt even receive an email. I just literally sat there waiting while others came in. Im just disappointed cause I was looking forward to it. They just seem to shrugged it off when I left. read more

I had an old balayage that needed refreshing so I booked a partial blonding with Caitlin. They have some different options on the website vs online booking so it was a little tough to figure out which service I needed. I tried to call and got a text response, so texting with that person was helpful. Caitlin was just a delightful person but also a true master of her craft. I'm so thrilled with how my hair turned out (fixed tone issues, looks natural, no chunky Avril Lavigne-esque streaks). They also have the comfiest sink chairs I've ever experienced. My hair color done by Sienna Johal turned out beautifully as always!! This was my first time at Evolve Salon, but have gotten my hair colored by Sienna 4 times now. I love that Sienna always will take my hair's health into consideration and always gets me beautiful, colorful results while keeping healthy hair. Considering we're bleaching and changing colors a lot, that's quite a feat! I get a lot of compliments about how HEALTHY my hair looks! I was referred to Sienna by a friend when I was desperate to find someone to do color correction on my once blonde balayage hair. The pictures say it all! Sienna was confident that she had the ability to give me the results I was seeking, which made me confident in her. Guyyyyssss! I got my hair done by Krista & I luuuvvv ITT. I booked an appointment for a Baliage thru her IG (Krista.Elizabeth.hair) I'm not really familiar with the Los Gatos area but the salon itself wasn't hard to find. You what was? Parking. I was lucky enough that a lady nearby saw me struggling to parallel & pointed me to an open spot. I walked in and was immediately greeted by Krista *hugs*. She was All ready and set for me even though I was about 10-15 minutes early. Major +++ right there. You know how some salons are huge & super nosy? The place itself is super cute and cozy, really gives you the personal feeling that the service is intended for just you. She asked me a couple of questions to make sure we both had the same vision of what I wanted my hair to look. Honestly, I haven't touched my hair in over 3 years & just became the ON THE GO/BURNT TF OUT mom. So I wanted a change, something to feel good about myself. Not only did she understand what I wanted but she also informed me of how to take better care of my hair. All easy things I can add to my daily life that doesn't take that much time. My hair looked AAAMMMAAAZZIINNNGGG! She brought me BACKTOLIFEY'ALL. & ADDED ON SOME CURLS & said I had beautiful princess hair. I definitely felt like a princess after she was done with me. A princess ready for a night out! JK. I loved her work & would definitely recommend her to anyone else that wants a freshen up on a look or even a complete make over. She knows her stuff! I have been going to Megan now for 4 years, and she truly is THE BEST. After living in New York for a couple years, I was happy to have her make time to get me in her chair whenever I visited back home. Not only is she an incredible colorist & stylist, she gives THE MOST AMAZING head massages during a rinse. Katlyn is literally the best!! I've been seeing her ever since I started coloring my hair. She first saved it from a balayage disaster and I've been with her ever since. If you're like me, COVID made you a little stir-crazy and led to some bad hair choices. Mine was in the form of $6 highlights with a pull-through cap. Yikes. Enter: Analise from Evolve! She cut and colored my hair like it's never been cut or colored before (I have naturally dark hair but wanted to go light). AMAZING! Like, truly transformative. Also, she's the type of person you don't mind hanging out with for eight hours while I went from straggly-haired housefrau to coiffed blonde. I have been getting my hair done with Krista for over 20 years. She is always so attentive, flexible, and honest. Attentive in making sure to ask what the problems are with my hair or if there's something I don't like. Flexible when I decide I want a different color or I just want the same style as usual. Honest when she tells me this won't work or that I am washing my hair too much. She always texts me after to make sure I like my hair (even though I've never hated it). No matter what salon she is at, I follow her. But Evolve is by far the cutest, most comfortable salon she has been at. Can't wait for you to go see her! read more

I went to a different salon and got my hair colored months ago. Lots of time had passed and it was looking awful. I decided to go to Krista at Evolve Salon and have her do her magic, and YES SHE DID! She figured out exactly what I needed and went to town. She made me feel very comfortable in the chair and explained everything she wanted to do. I wasn't worried at all after she ease my worry. I LOVE my hair extensions by Melonie and am looking forward to being a long-term client for many years to come! My hair is very fine, hard to grow and can be damaged easily. Most hair extension methods aren't very healthy for it. I was so excited and relieved to find Melonie. She is experienced and has a broad knowledge of the various extension types and their pros and cons. She took a look at my hair and recommended what she thought was best. We ordered hair and set an appointment for the installation a week later. On Monday she did my install. She is a detailed craftsman. I couldn't be happier! At the end she told me what I could do to maintain the color and health. I moved here a year ago but kept returning to Chicago for my hair appointments because I couldn't find anyone that I trusted to do my extensions. I'm so pleased to have finally found Melonie. She is honest, knowledgeable and a craftsman. read more

Gissell is not only incredibly talented in the craft of curly cuts but she is such a sweet person in general. I felt comfortable sharing past experiences as well as what I wanted this time. She listened to each and every concern I had and every step of the way made sure I was happy with the outcome. The curly cut I chose had wash and style in it and wow that conditioner massage was too good! She let me know all the products she was using on my hair as well as giving me tips on how to style my hair and what products to use at home!! Which I so appreciated because taking care of curly hair is hard! I've gotten a curly cut before and it was nowhere near this good. I will certainly be back and I can't wait to hang out with Gissell again in a couple months!

The salon's website encouraged clients to share their full hair history, and I did that because I know color can be difficult to get right. Based on our conversation, I left with the understanding that achieving my desired result would not be an issue. I want to say that I really like the salon itself. The space is lovely, the atmosphere is positive, the staff are welcoming, and the client experience feels thoughtful. Unfortunately, the color service was very disappointing. I came in with grown-out, uneven color and asked for an overall lighter golden brown with a dimensional dusty rose balayage. I also brought reference photos to the appointment. The final result was not close to what we discussed. Instead of a soft, blended look, my hair had stripe-like sections, and the rose tone faded almost immediately. Five days later, after only one wash, all of the pink is gone, and the color still looks uneven and brassy in places. See attached photos (the pink reference is what I asked for and the other 2 photos are what I got). What was most frustrating was the lack of discussion at the end of the appointment. It seemed clear that the result was not what I had asked for, but I was not shown the back of my hair, and there was no real conversation about the outcome or possible next steps. I did not raise it in the moment because I had already been there for several hours and wanted time to look at it fully before judging the final result. For a service that cost over $700, I expected something more polished and aligned with the consultation. I understand that hair coloring is not an exact science, but I do think it is important to be realistic about what can be achieved and to address it openly when the outcome does not match the client's expectations. I may still return to Fox & Rose for a haircut because I genuinely liked the salon environment! For color services, though, I would just caution clients to be very clear about expectations, share their full hair history, and be prepared that the result may not match what was discussed.

She didn't do the job correctly in the first attempt so I asked for an another appointment. I was very clear that I only color the part which shows gray hair but in the second appointment, instead of fixing the old problem , she thought it's easier to apply the color on the whole scalp. I kept telling her not to touch roots but she had her own explanations and continued to do what seemed correct to her. Now the results are : I have itchy scalp with lots of dandruff and roughness , specially the bottom part of my hair is badly damaged. Tremendous amount of hair fall which I never had in my life (clearly the color she applied had something in it ). Even though she said it's ammonia free, but while she was applying this color, I told her this is the first time I am feeling the itchiness and headache but her answer was , "oh I don't know why you feeling this way, it's probably your skin". She couldn't even get rid of black spots from my forehead after the wash. Although it wasn't the first time that I requested ammonia free hair color from this salon but it would definitely make me never going back there .

When we got to the front desk, they refused to accommodate us. The receptionist said she would "go ask the manager," but the time spent doing that could've been used to actually start our services. There was zero flexibility, zero empathy, and no effort to make a birthday visit feel special. We ended up leaving without getting our hair done. For a service-based business, especially one centered around pampering and customer experience, this was incredibly disappointing.
