During my cleaning the power tools became VERY hot as I motioned to the dentist that I was uncomfortable i was responded with "almost done". After a minute and several attempts to stop, the dentist holding the tool realized it was very hot and that "thats never happened before". Another employee came in to touch the tool and it was hot to the touch. I left with a severe burn on the corner of my mouth. I couldn't open my mouth wide enough to put a utensil in to eat anything for 2 months. The healing time was long painful and depressing considering there were visible welps on the outside of my mouth. My experience is rare but also my truth.

Tim took care of that like no big deal. The other dentist tried 3 times and kept charging me every time it fell out. Before that dentist, a dentist fixed that same tooth & although it wasn't falling out, it was blue. The other students were making fun of my child. I found out the hard way what my Dad said is true, if you are lucky enough to find a good dentist, you better hang on to them. I feel very blessed to have found this place. I get great care.

One thing I've learned about the dental industry is that a lot of dentists will pay their hygienists a commission based salary. I find that to be pretty outrageous, honestly. It surely benefits the practitioners and not the patients in that regard. One of the reasons I chose to go to Tim Lawrence is because I was referred to him by a friend. My friend went to one of the more well-known dental groups in town that said he needed a root canal ($$$). He goes to Tim Lawrence for a second opinion, and Tim tells my buddy that he absolutely does not need a root canal. He can just fill it like a normal cavity, saving my friend massive amounts of green. I had a similar experience. I went to the same large dental group in town that pressured me to update my "outdated" crown. I go to Tim. He said my crown was fine. So, yeah. I'm over the snakes in the dental industry. I'm now a customer of Dr. Lawrence for life. Great, honest guy that does a good job.
