Communication was solid throughout everything was confirmed in writing and by text, and the online process for signing and payment made it easy. On the day of the job, Victor personally arrived with a site manager and crew. Even though the space was only 975 ft, the team came prepared: two trucks plus a van, and a U-Haul for trash removal. The entire crew was professional, friendly, respectful, and approachable. I checked in multiple times during the work day, and each time they showed me progress and asked if it met my expectations. They handled every request I had with a positive attitude and didn't hesitate to address even small extra tasks I included in the quote. They dealt with biohazard issues (including poop cleanup) with proper care and attention, and the result was beyond what I expected after such a difficult situation. Blake was first to come to our home that day. He is professional, respectful, and also caring. He walked through the current status of our home and then communicated what steps would be next. Blake also stayed in touch with us throughout the process. The following day, Carlos and Aaron arrived and were just as kind and caring and hardworking! They moved all the furniture away from the walls and protected the space for the dehumidifying machines such that we could access our bathroom to the side through a zipper protective covering. They were careful with our belongings and genuinely listened to our concerns and helped us emotionally navigate the process. Truly, this company could not have taken better care of us! Carlos and Aaron went above and beyond. They returned after the carpet was cleaned and put back, so that they could put our furniture back in its place. I wonder how many people, when they heard that, just plopped their old alarms in the trash. Well, I had held on to mine for several years, hoping that the hazardous waste folks would change their minds, to no avail. Then a postcard arrived from our trash company, CR&R listing nine hazardous waste drop offs, with MDS being the only one to accept smoke alarms. I did a Google map and headed on down. The receptionist was friendly and helpful and took those old alarms right away. Kudos to MDS for being willing to accept these items, especially since MDS is a commercial recycler. Their willingness to deal with Joe Public Small Fry is appreciated. And did I mention there was no charge?

Roberto and the crew came out that same day and began work to dry and fix all the water damage. We have a new baby with respiratory issues and was very worried about tje situation. But, the guys did a great job isolating and containing the areas they were working on to avoid any dust and debris. They were all friendly, efficient, and very considerate to our needs. A few days later they did a final inspection to ensure there was no more moisture and by the end of the weekend everything was repaired as if nothing happened. (They did indeed ask for materials but are now saying they didn't.) ___ 2. DEFLECT/IGNORE THE ISSUE RAISED -Dana "I've sent 3 emails to your 1 email..." -Janny "...if you are unwilling to provide results..." -Dana "I'm not unwilling. You just never asked. Why did it take this long to tell me that?" (My issue is their lack of communication, but she deflects to a story about me refusing asbestos testing, when in fact that conversation never happened.) ___ 3. DELAYED COMMUNICATION/NON-RESPONSIVE -- 5/21 Janny: "Please feel free to forward over the hygienist report...". --5/21 Dana:" They're attached, along with link to a few pics." MISINFORMED, ARGUMENTATIVE, AND ACCUSATORY LANGUAGE --Misinformed/Accusatory: "You expressed to us that you didn't want to proceed with testing your property" --Accusatory/Argumentative: "If you are unwilling to provide results...we cannot proceed to assist any further" (Janny's tone is starkly different from most vendors'. But to be fair, this is just my experience. They do have great reviews, so you may have a better experience (if you decide to use them). And your 1 email was asking for materials I already provided. It worries me that this is an indicator to what it's likely working with Restoration1. The estimator came out May 21st. It's June 1st. Can you tell me what's going on with my estimate?" Their utter lack of follow-through was incredibly frustrating because I was super impressed with the estimator's professionalism, friendliness, and expertise. 1. The estimator came out May 27. 2. After a week I reached out. 2. Janny responded by asking for docs I already sent 3. I gave it to her again. 4. Then crickets... 6. I emailed a 3rd time for updates. No response. 7. I emailed again + messaged on Yelp 8. They finally responded saying I had refused asbestos testing, which they require. 9. I said I never refused because nobody informed me until 3 weeks in. So they asked for docs already provided (why ask for docs if asbestos was an issue?), did nothing for 3 weeks, said I refused asbestos testing, which wasn't true, and that I would've agreed to do the testing had I been informed, Janny's response was judgmental and rude. And the overall communication--or lack thereof--I received from Janny was misinformed, argumentative, accusatory, and rude. Had they told me about the asbestos testing requirement I would have complied. But, if my experience thus far was any indication of how it would be working with them, I decided to pass. I think I saved myself a lot of headache. Buyer beware.

Dedication and service like that are hard to find these days and I certainly appreciated his efforts! We recently purchased a home in Costa Mesa, upon the inspection we were notified there were damaged AC ducts in the attic. We called a number of firms, but eWaste Disposal, Inc was the only one who called back almost immediately. We met with the owner Tom the next Saturday. He inspected the ducts, confirmed they may be asbestos, but the big problem was they had been crushed also he found some loose transite pipe from a job years ago jaustsitting up there. We closed the home sale and hired eWaste Disposal to remove the debris and the ducts. We count be more happy. I was in charge of closing down our commercial building in Fullerton CA. We needed an environmental report prior to transferring the ownership. Upon this inspection , lead and asbestos were found to be loose , broken and non secure. We interviewed our maintenance people and were given a few names for disposal. We choose eWaste Disposal, Inc because they are licensed and responded with the best cost to transport this environmental hazardous waste. The job was completed by eWaste to our satisfaction and more important to the satisfaction of the Phase 1 environmental report. We received our all clear and we closed the transaction. The guys are great. We were involved in a home inspection and the inspector found loose tape and duct work in the attic and heater closet. We contacted eWaste, Thomas came out the next day, took samples of the pipe and tape and verified it was a high % of asbestos. After they completed their work, we requested asbestos clearance testing from an environmental testing company and everything passed. On-site data destruction of hard drives, a certificate of the destruction and certificate of all recycled material was provided via email within days to our company. The technicians that arrived at our office were helpful and friendly. Computers, laptops, monitors, server panels, components, hard-drives, power cords & cables, mouses, and miscellaneous electronics, they took it all.
