I write plenty of critical reviews on Yelp so it's a pleasure to write a positive one once in a while. I called today before 9am and Thomas picked up on the first ring. I had just bought an old house and was preparing to do attic work when someone mentioned possible asbestos issues in attic, which had not occurred to me. Thomas was very helpful, professional and courteous on the phone. But he suggested that he'd need to see the house and possibly get some samples done to make proper determination of the asbestos threat. He met me an hour later at the house. After a very thorough walk through of the house which took over an hour, he said "You really don't have a problem here and there's nothing I need to do for you." Now, I have bought quite a few homes for investments in past few years and I am always running into service professionals who prey on fear, uncertainty and doubt to get you to buy their services, whether it's necessary or not. I have been quoted thousands of dollars for a 2 hour job anyone can do themselves with $20 in materials. As an asbestos job can easily run in the tens of thousands, it's rare to run into someone who essentially says "Don't pay me to do anything because there's nothing wrong with the house." I salute Thomas for his character and then offered to pay for him to run some samples but he said "Samples are not really necessary - I can see that the ducts and pipes are fine. If they weren't I'd tell you." I then offered him some gas money for making him come out for nothing, to which he replied "My office is close by, so don't worry about it." They don't make them like Thomas anymore. In my book he gets an A for his professional knowledge, attention to detail and courteousness. And more importantly he gets an A+ for integrity. I only wished that every service professional was like him or even half as good. When I save up and do a more extensive remodel which will involve opening the walls and demolishing parts of the house, you can bet he will be getting my call. read more

Very professional, extremely responsive and fast! In the middle of a wood floor installation project, we found asbestos in the adhesive of old linoleum in the dining room and needed remediation before the project could begin. We were on a tight time schedule already because I was hosting my daughter's wedding shower with 40 guests in my home in 2 weeks! Gave them a call about disposing of some florescent lights and alkaline batteries. The person who answered told me to throw the batteries in the garbage and they would charge to pick up the lights! I asked if there is a drop off center and they said no. I found that there are places sponsored by Orange County that has FREE hazardous waste drop offs for the residents of the OC. So why pay this guy to pick it up and have them dump it god knows where? read more

I was disappointed when we discovered an asbestos pipe after removing a wall heater. Nevertheless Thomas made the whole process simpler than I would have imagined. He was an excellent communicator and responded very quickly to my initial inquiry through Yelp. Once the appointment was set up the gentleman that came out to remove the pipe was super professional and friendly (I believe his name was Hanzel). He removed the pipe very quickly and even temporarily put a rain proof patch on our roof. Which was great as it was schedule to rain the next day, and it did. The patch held well and there was no leaks until we could replace the shingles the following weekend. Would recommend these guys to anyone! read more

Where do I start! Recently we had discovered that our bedroom at our duplex had 4% asbestos tiles underneath our carpet. We are in escrow for a Condo in Irvine, the home inspector sited a transite pipe for the water heater as being made of asbestos. I wanted a second opinion and found Asbestos Removal and Transport on yelp. I called and Thomas was very helpful on the phone, answered all of my questions. When he came out to inspect the Condo, I was impressed by his knowledge and willingness to inspect the entire condo again for asbestos. He didn't try to sell me on using his company's services, the condo inspection was free. We will be having Thomas come back to the condo once escrow closes to test a heater closet and vent that may contain asbestos as well. Thomas even told me where I can get the material tested for asbestos if I wanted to make it a DIY project. Hopefully the testing comes back negative for asbestos , but we will be using his company to remove the transit pipe, his quote for that project was $100 cheaper than another company that I emailed in LA. read more

I needed an Abatement for my closet for my furnace and duct work because im going to need to replace my furnace and duct work because i was told by the HVAC company i had come for a furnace quote that i had non disturbed asbestos in both parts of the home. I've written very few reviews but when I do it's because I feel a business has exceeded my expectations. I called eWaste Disposal to get a quote on removing my heating ducts which were lined with asbestos. Josh went above and beyond to educate me on asbestos, when it's dangerous and when it's not, and also provided me with multiple options I can choose on removing or leaving it alone. His approach to the situation was figuring out a way to help me without breaking the bank rather than trying to sell me a service as quickly as possible. After we discussed the numbers, Josh gave me an estimate that was 4x less than what I was expecting so I decided to schedule the work with his team. He explained that because of the high volume of work they're dealing with it would take about 3 weeks to get someone out to my house, I didn't have a problem since it's a new house we're remodeling. About 15 minutes after our call, Josh called me back and told me he's got a couple guys that can come get the work done on the weekend! I only had to wait 4 days instead of 3 weeks. On top of that, the estimated time was 5-6 hours of work... these guys got it done in less than 3 hours. I'm overly impressed with Josh' customer support and his teams efficiency to get the work done as quickly and professionally as possible.
