Right from the start I will just say that Raul is my new plumber from now forward!! I was having a drainage problem with the sink, toilet, and shower of my only bathroom. After reading his great on-line reviews, I called him while another plumbing company was literally still at my house!! I am a first-time home owner with no experience with this type of thing, but I felt that the first company's estimates and suggestions were unreasonable. Without talking smack about the other company, Raul gave me me great suggestions and confirmed my suspicions by telling me he charged $100.00 to snake a line ... the first company's charge was $342.00. Big difference. The first company was unable to successfully pass the snake through the line. They completed their second visit after sending a camera through the pipes and telling me the picture "went to black" and "the pipe just ends abruptly" and "they have no idea what is going on". Their recommendation was a 2-day job including: 1) creating new access point in front yard (one already existed...I showed it to them) 2) dig up a bunch of my plants 3) dig a huge ground hole in the front yard 4) get heavy equipment to come in and probe around until they found something. Estimate: $3,300.00 plus repairs of findings. I told them a second opinion was in order. Raul came over that afternoon and snaked the line (finding no obstruction) out to the street. The drain, however, did not clear. He changed the drill tip to a larger size and did it again. He was able to pass the snake through two different access points a total of 5 times with no problem, but the line was not clearing. His recommendation was to hydro jet (which clears the excess gunk from the sides of the pipes with high pressure water) for a cost of $500.00. (Rescue Rooters charge for hydro jet was $800.00, but "not recommended" by them). I was concerned about spending $500.00 for something that may not work, and knowing that, Raul called me that evening to assure me that it was the next best step. The hydro jet guy, George, showed up the next morning right on schedule. Raul had already told him everything he needed to know to do the job--great communication!! He started the job and Raul showed up ...unexpectedly. He wanted to observe the process and make sure it was a success. It was!! The line cleared in about 20 minutes. A camera was sent down the pipe and they showed me the length of the pipes out to the main city pipe - all cleaned out!! Total price: $600.00 versus $3,742.00 plus repairs from the other company. Wow!! Raul is a super nice guy (so was George!) He knows his stuff and his prices are very reasonable. He gave his best effort to the first, simplest resolution, so I felt ok moving on to something more expensive and involved. He had great communication with his associates and personally followed up to be sure things were right. Highly recommended!! read more

WARNING!!! I had a garbage disposal in a rental property that was leaking at the mount, between the flange and the sink. Other than this leak, the garbage disposal worked perfectly fine. I am very handy, just didn't have the time to fix this myself. After reading good reviews here, I called and spoke with Raul. I explained the situation and he quoted me $85 to re-mount the garbage disposal. A few days later, Raul arrived at the rental to make the repair. He notified me that the garbage disposal was broken and needed to be replaced. His quote was $225 for parts and labor. Based on his professional assessment of the garbage disposal, I approved the replacement. After the work was complete, Raul called me to receive payment over the phone. After giving him my payment info, I asked him what exactly broke on the unit. To my surprise, his response was "I don't know, it was very dirty." I was confused so I reminded him that he told me the garbage disposal was broken and needed to be replaced before I asked some clarifying questions. Raul began to backpedal and had the following excuses: - The mount seal was bad - The mounting bracket may have been cracked, but I'm not sure - The motor may have had a hairline fracture, but I can't be sure - The unit was over 10 years old, these things don't last forever My response: -The mount seal was bad as we initially discussed, yes. This does not require the entire unit to be replaced. -Do you know the mounting bracket was cracked or are you guessing? -Another guess that the motor may have been cracked - The house was renovated in 2013. At that time, a new kitchen was installed including a new sink and garbage disposal. In the end, after an aggravating 10 minute phone call, Raul couldn't explain what they issue was that required me to replace the garbage disposal. Dissatisfied with our conversation and feeling like I had just been victimized, I immediately called my bank and initiated a claim. The bank agreed Raul had been deceptive. They told me they would need the old garbage disposal to be evaluated by a third party in order to finalize the claim process. I sent Raul a text, requesting he leave the old garbage disposal on site. At that point, Raul admitted he broke the original garbage disposal while trying to remove it for the agreed upon re-mount! I was beside myself and felt completely shocked as this was confirmation he had lied in order to steal from me! Raul issued me a full refund, at my request. A few days later, Raul sent me a text, asking when he could go back to the house and get his garbage disposal! Unbelievably terrible experience with this plumber! BEWARE!!!!! read more

Great service and fair price. I walked with Raul to help find a good way to snake a clogged sewer drain. We went on the roof, around the house, and inside the house in attempt to find a good entry for the snake to clear the clogged drain. He thought he would have to remove the toilet as a last resort (costs an extra $100). However, Raul was patient and very conscious not to do extra, unnecessary work. We eventually found the sewer clean out and he was able to snake the line from there.
