Brandon teaches most of the classes but occasionally one of the fighters will teach - all good and they follow in his style. The gym also offers multiple classes for different levels - Muay Thai, Sparring, Clinch, Boxing, BJJ w Gi, BJJ no-gi, wrestling, and yoga (on Sundays). I love all the staff they are all very friendly and willing to help you with anything that you may need. They are all educated and trained in what they teach and i feel that to be very important. Its great that they offer a variety of classes from yoga to bootcamp and everything in between. I myself do the kickboxing and bootcamp 4 days a week with an occasionaly yoga class when i have time and i have seen amazing results. Leon is a great trainer and he pushes you to do your best because he wants results!! Ambria's Zogalaties class makes u sweat as well and is great for toning. When you walk in, there is a reception area with benches and cubbies, with new bathrooms (including showers). From there you head into the main workout space, which includes about 30 heavy Smart bags, a full workout area with weights and treadmills, and a boxing ring. I took a 60-minute class and it was both great and challenging. The format included about an 8-minute warmup, ten boxing rounds, and finished with abs and stretching. The instructor was excellent, high energy, motivating, and consistently encouraging proper form. I look forward to going back. Highly recommend if you are looking for a tough, fun, and well-structured boxing workout.

Hip Fit just moved its location from the UWS to Hell's Kitchen, and the new studio is fantastic -- spacious, airy, lots of room to throw punches and practice kicks. I highly recommend this if you've either done kickboxing in the past and are looking to get back into it, or if you're brand-new and want to try it out in a supportive environment.
