Went to have an appointment for the first time with my son. I spent over $100 with insurance for…read morejust for the visit it appears. I asked for the prescription and they said it wasn't set. We got another appointment but kept having to reschedule because I have a special needs child. When I tried to set another appointment to get the actual prescription I should have gotten on the first try, they said I owe a fee for the cancelled appointments AND I have to pay for another appointment where I may or may not get the prescription again. Don't go there, they make you pay extra one way or another. They make you wait at least 30 minutes after your appointment time. They shove another sales opportunity at you with the eye therapy... conveniently not covered by insurance.

I brought in my glasses that I don't like and sunglasses as an example of what fits great, since I wanted to be comfortable sitting at the computer for long periods of time. I was hoping for a conversation about similar options for bi-weekly contacts for people with astigmatism, since it's a new condition for me, but nope. I was hoping the lady could help me with my face measurements or tell me what a good option would be for the bridge piece that I could explore so they don't always slide off, but nope. I felt like a nuisance and stopped talking after the conversation just seemed to be a whole lot of "I don't know" and "I don't order online." Super disappointed and I'll take my chances with somewhere cheaper, since I didn't care about the cost at Target Optical. I just wanted help! Self service it is. *****Post update, this is the level of information I was looking for about my face shape and low bridge vs high bridge fit with glasses. He is very knowledgeable, honest and shares a wealth information with you. I had to go to Miami for "Corneal Cross-linking" procedure and Dr. Tratter also told me what good hands I was in for my follow up appointments and contact fittings. His "bedside mannor" is rare, and very welcoming in today's world. It's obvious he looks at my chart before he sees me and knows what to ask, look for and how he relate. Too many other Doctors have their technicians do all the work and they come in and give their 2 cents and exit quickly. I have never felt rushed, or have ever felt like he was rushed either. A+ in my opinion.

The eye exam was pleasurable and was a great experience. The staff is very helpful as well. The selection of glasses is not the typical styles you think of going to a doc office. They have all different from classic to trendy and from lower end pricing to higher including name brands like Ray Ban, coach, Tory Burch, MK and even Tom Ford. I was interested to learn the VSP cover more than half of these designer frames cost! Win win! My Glasses were in before the week was up and I was on my way. I had to go back a few days after receiving glasses to adjust as they were slipping. Called the staff and said no problem come in and we'll take care of it. Just excellent. No problems at all. A+++

I've always been treated with respect and dignity and had my every need taken care of. Until I called and got Sage. Who, when he answered, asked me if I could hold. I said yes, because everyone is busy. Then after 10-15 minutes I hung up. I found out, after visiting the office, that Sage had put me on hold, then went to the bathroom. Not professional at all and not in keeping with the service I've always received from this office.

Extremely slow in getting me my new glasses 2. Apparently notified me once, via text, with the only identification of who was texting me being a 5-digit number 3. There was no other follow 4. When I eventually called to find out when I was going to get my glasses, I was put on hold for 10 minutes and then the phone hung up 5. The business appears to have changed ownership and now is part of New Tampa Eye Institute, but at last contact, they did not even have a sign with their new name -- this review was left with the old name because the internet and searches using their new name failed to find them. 6. Woman who finally answered the phone was borderline rude and blamed me for not clicking on that 5-digit number -- apparently their equipment was not up to communicating by name I think that what they have is very badly out of date office technology
