Good afternoon…read more I've been going to True Eye Experts, even before you changed hands over 10 years. First New Tampa, and then Lutz. I've never had a bad experience, everyone is extremely pleasant and professional until now. First let me say that one of the techs in Lutz (red hair) is extremely rude, no customer service skills. I've worked in customer service for over 20 years. One of the first things I ever learned is, the customer is always right, even if they're not. You do not talk over a customer. You are there to listen. Not to be the person who thinks they are right. Now, with that being said, if the customer is irritated to begin with and not being rude, not cussing, however, I was being loud, you do not tell them you're are going to disengage. You stop, you listen, and reslolve. If you cannot resolve it, you stop, you listen, and let the customer finish, most especially when you have just broke a 350 dollar pair of sunglasses and with the lens that I purchased from your company, I had 750 dollars into these sunglasses, and then, she tells me that they are not responsible, and said they told me that. The tech that took my sunglasses to the back to adjust them. She never said anything about not being responsible for the glasses or else I never would have handed them to her, it was not even a thought in my head that she would break them. Now mind you, they are plastic lenses, Dolce Gabana. You do not try to bend plastic frames in which she did, and snapped them in half. My whole thought was she was going to go back there to soften the backs to fit securely on my ears. The tech that was so rude contacted me on Monday morning, and gave me 3 solutions...and...she again was talking over me. First solution - they can get the same glasses through their parent company and that worked, until she couldn't get the style I had. She asked me several times if I wanted the ones they found, not the ones I intially purchased. I told her no that wasn't going to work. I went out and purchased another pair yesterday. Just like the ones they broke, but they can't get a hold of them Second solution - I could purchase a frame from their selection. I said no, that wasn't going to work. Third solution - I could bring my lenses in that I purchased and relanquish them, and then they would refund me the money for the lenses. Please tell me in what world does that make sense? You refund me the money for the lenses that I bought, and then I have to turn around, and buy them back. If they give me the money back for my lenses, since I can't get the glasses that I initially bought, and I'll walk away satisfied.

The staff are very friendly and professional and managed to work us in with in 45 min. The Dr provided a thorough and complete eye exam and set him up to try the contacts. The staff were very patient in teaching my husband how to care for the lens, remove and insert. I mean very patient. We were extremely pleased with our experience. The costs were very competitive.

I brought in my glasses that I don't like and sunglasses as an example of what fits great, since I wanted to be comfortable sitting at the computer for long periods of time. I was hoping for a conversation about similar options for bi-weekly contacts for people with astigmatism, since it's a new condition for me, but nope. I was hoping the lady could help me with my face measurements or tell me what a good option would be for the bridge piece that I could explore so they don't always slide off, but nope. I felt like a nuisance and stopped talking after the conversation just seemed to be a whole lot of "I don't know" and "I don't order online." Super disappointed and I'll take my chances with somewhere cheaper, since I didn't care about the cost at Target Optical. I just wanted help! Went to have an appointment for the first time with my son. I spent over $100 with insurance for…read morejust for the visit it appears. I asked for the prescription and they said it wasn't set. We got another appointment but kept having to reschedule because I have a special needs child. When I tried to set another appointment to get the actual prescription I should have gotten on the first try, they said I owe a fee for the cancelled appointments AND I have to pay for another appointment where I may or may not get the prescription again. Don't go there, they make you pay extra one way or another. They make you wait at least 30 minutes after your appointment time. They shove another sales opportunity at you with the eye therapy... conveniently not covered by insurance.

He is very knowledgeable, honest and shares a wealth information with you. I had to go to Miami for "Corneal Cross-linking" procedure and Dr. Tratter also told me what good hands I was in for my follow up appointments and contact fittings. His "bedside mannor" is rare, and very welcoming in today's world. It's obvious he looks at my chart before he sees me and knows what to ask, look for and how he relate. Too many other Doctors have their technicians do all the work and they come in and give their 2 cents and exit quickly. I have never felt rushed, or have ever felt like he was rushed either. A+ in my opinion.
