We got another appointment but kept having to reschedule because I have a special needs child. When I tried to set another appointment to get the actual prescription I should have gotten on the first try, they said I owe a fee for the cancelled appointments AND I have to pay for another appointment where I may or may not get the prescription again. Don't go there, they make you pay extra one way or another. They make you wait at least 30 minutes after your appointment time. They shove another sales opportunity at you with the eye therapy... conveniently not covered by insurance.

The staff are very friendly and professional and managed to work us in with in 45 min. The Dr provided a thorough and complete eye exam and set him up to try the contacts. The eye exam was pleasurable and was a great experience. The staff is very helpful as well. The selection of glasses is not the typical styles you think of going to a doc office. They have all different from classic to trendy and from lower end pricing to higher including name brands like Ray Ban, coach, Tory Burch, MK and even Tom Ford. I was interested to learn the VSP cover more than half of these designer frames cost! Win win! My Glasses were in before the week was up and I was on my way. I brought in my glasses that I don't like and sunglasses as an example of what fits great, since I wanted to be comfortable sitting at the computer for long periods of time. I was hoping for a conversation about similar options for bi-weekly contacts for people with astigmatism, since it's a new condition for me, but nope. I was hoping the lady could help me with my face measurements or tell me what a good option would be for the bridge piece that I could explore so they don't always slide off, but nope. I felt like a nuisance and stopped talking after the conversation just seemed to be a whole lot of "I don't know" and "I don't order online." Super disappointed and I'll take my chances with somewhere cheaper, since I didn't care about the cost at Target Optical. I just wanted help! I was referred to many different eye Doctors in the Tampa Bay area for second opinions - and went to many of them as well. However, I have found that Dr. Anderson is leaps and bounds above the rest. He is very knowledgeable, honest and shares a wealth information with you. I had to go to Miami for "Corneal Cross-linking" procedure and Dr. Tratter also told me what good hands I was in for my follow up appointments and contact fittings. His "bedside mannor" is rare, and very welcoming in today's world. It's obvious he looks at my chart before he sees me and knows what to ask, look for and how he relate. Too many other Doctors have their technicians do all the work and they come in and give their 2 cents and exit quickly. I have never felt rushed, or have ever felt like he was rushed either. A+ in my opinion.

I am like okay so then she hands me the paperwork and it sys that I need to get my eyes dialated, I said I do not want to get dialated she said it is a requirement here, I am like steike two noone told me this on the phone either!!! She said I will see if we can get an exception i said nd if not just cancel this appointment, usually dilation is an option not requirement! I had PanOptix placed in my eye Feb 7th, 2020. This lens did not work for me, I did have 20/20 vision, but the rings and halos ruined my night vision and I was in great distress. The surgeon that placed it in my eye would not remove it. I was running out of time as I was almost 5 months post op from PanOptix and this lens needed to get removed quickly if it were going to be successfully removed and replaced with a Crystalens. I began my search for a doctor that would replace the lens and give me back my beautiful night vision. Dr. Mahootchi listened to me, heard my despair and told me I didn't have to live like this and that he would do a lens exchange for me. Because I felt so confident in him through reading of his experience and all his wonderful reviews on many forums I decided to take the trip across the country, even during a pandemic and see him! This proved to be a great decision! He immediately set me at ease, I loved his entire staff as well! Surgery was completely successfulI I now have 20/20 in that eye with beautiful night vision!
