The owner Sunny is just a ray of sunshine, and always provide the best quality of service. I had a white suit that had a huge wine stain, and her team was able to get it out in no time without damaging the suit the next day. Talk about miracles! BEWARE! These people will overcharge you! They do not understand the simple concept of "Minimum" (of $15). They add the minimum charge on, i.e., ADDITIONALLY to their per pound charge even when it satisfies the minimum. So this $15 is essentially a "premium." The "minimum" concept is beyond their comprehension. For example, if you bring in 20 pounds to launder at $1.00/pound, they will charge you $20 for that (satisfying the minimum), they STILL add the $15 "minimimum charge." No laundromat on the UES I have used has ever interpreted "minimum charge" like this. This is their special boondoggle. They have never had complaints, they say. Only on the UES! lol But it's like talking to 3rd graders about a word problem in basic math. They don't get the minimum charge concept. Amazing. Free money! They somehow have twisted the "minimum" charge to an ADDITIONAL charge before charging you by the weight of your laundry. "Initiation fee" is more appropriate. Or flat rate laundry "dues." Or, even, like a doctor's charge for an office visit. Talk to them about it, it will remind you of Monty Python! That might be worth the extra charge. read more

The best $1.95/pound wash & hold I've spent to support and cherish the seamless drop off and pick up experience at Excellent Laundry. Basic load, blankets, shoes- all has come back feeling brand new. No scent to the fresh laundry but totes understood, potential allergic reactions and complaints are not worth it. I appreciate how they always ask when ya need it by, and they'll try their best to do it even if they're superrrrrrr swamped (like on a Monday) but they'll always be transparent about when they'll have it ready by. They really care and treat your laundry like it's one of their own. Left something in a pant pocket (classic) and upon pick up, they let me know and had the item placed at the top of that gorg stack of folded clean laundry. They're timely, reliable, honest, and cheery! New to the city and wash & folds, and having them as my neighbor makes not having a laundry in unit, actually such a pleasant experience that I get so excited about. Who would've thought folded laundry could make a gal so happy?? *Don't tell anyone, but they might be my favorite neighbors on E 67th... shhhhh! I have tried 5 different laundromats and dry cleaning shops in this neighborhood, and Excellent is hands-down the most reliable. I have been using their wash & fold, delivery, and dry cleaning services for about a year. I also had my curtains hemmed by the owner, after shopping around and realizing her prices were the best. They seem to get my clothes cleaner than other laundromats do. They have never lost or stained any of my clothes. They separate the delicates from the rest, and will hang dry them for me. They separate the darks/brights/whites, whereas the laundromat around the corner stained my clothes before telling me I had to separate them myself. This may be silly, but I even like the way they fold my clothes. The people in the store have come to know me, recognize my voice/number on the phone, and deliver my laundry almost immediately (granted, I live nearby). After this happened a few times, I felt compelled to make them the recipient of MY FIRST Yelp review! They are all very sweet with top-notch customer service. DO NOT USE--WILL LOSE CLOTHING AND HAS WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN NEW YORK. I was never thrilled with their quality, but since it was convenient and I didn't have the time to look into another store I continued to send my clothes there for 4-5 years. The other day they didn't return one of my shirts, and when I called to tell them, the woman who I spoke with was beyond rude. Not only was she adamant that she didn't do anything wrong, but when I asked her for a store credit to offset the cost of the shirt, she told me that she had never wanted my business in the first place and she wasn't giving me anything. After 4-5 years and thousands of dollars, any half decent business would try to keep you as a customer, but not this place. Do yourself a favor and send your clothes elsewhere! read more
