I contacted Excellent Maid service and Amy came to my home for the initial walk through. I liked Amy and she assured me that her team would do a great job for me. I hired them and the first time they came out the did a pretty good job, I thought. But when they cleaned my brand new gas stove, they turned up all the gas burners all the way (causing the kitchen to be a 100 degrees) and turned on my brand new $3000 dollar stove hood and let the gas run for about 10 minutes until I came in and asked what the hell they were doing. At that point my brand new BEST stove hood started making noise. So great they screwed up my new Hood the first time they cleaned. But, after telling them not to do that again, they did not but still my new hood now makes a loud rattling noise.
Also, I ask them to use my vacuum, as I believe that it is the law that they do not use their vacuum from house to house so as not to spread bed bugs and other bacteria. But they refused and got all pissy because they did not know how to use my vacuum. (Real rocket science). I also asked them to use a special cleaner and micro fiber sweeper to clean my new hard wood floor as that is what the manufacture stated as the proper way to clean my new hard wood floors. Well, they used that the first couple of times then began to use an old style mop with those handy wipe things on it, slopping water all over the floor. Which they did not scrub enough to get grim up leaving dried food particles on the floor.
In addition, the first time they came they stayed for a hour plus and then after the first couple of times coming they would come and be here for maybe 25 to 30 minutes to clean my $2500 square foot home, and I only had them clean 3 bathrooms, vacuum only the up stairs hall and stairs, clean only the kitchen and family room. They did not even have to clean any of the 4 bedrooms or vacuum or dust them or clean my formal living and dining room. So they were literally cleaning half my house and they charged me $135 for the first clean and then charged $110 for all other times.
After the last time they came to clean I began to check there work and would run my hand over my kitchen counter top only to find food particles still suck to the counter, because they only do a lite wipe of the counters instead of soaping up the counters and scrubbing the counter.
I could go on but why.
In closing, I had called Amy after their last visit and told her not to send the girls until her and I were able to discuss the sloppy mop incident. But, I only got a text message from her confirming that the were coming, but my phone was dead and I had not responded she sent the girls anyway. So today they came and I let them in against my better judgment. They got to my home at 10:50 and left by 11:20.
When they started in my kitchen one of the girls started to turn all the burner on and the one girl told her not to and then they said something in Spanish and they both laughed. Well, I do not speak Spanish but understand enough to know what was being said and that pissed my off.
And I told them as such. After they left I checked their work only to find that the counters were not clean properly and they had chipped my granite counter at the sink and left toothpaste in one of the bathroom sinks and the wood floor in the kitchen cleaned poorly. I was done.
I text messaged Amy and told her thank you for your service and that I would be cleaning my own home. She asked if the she could send the girls back but I could not. I am sick of paying for bad service. read more
