Rodrigo, Carmen, and Ed are the dream team! I am a neat freak, and when it comes to cleaning, can be very picky. We initially hired Tip Top for a move-in cleaning, but due to the inflexibility of the movers, Tip Top cleaned afterwards and I'm SO glad they did because the movers left the place a MESS. They require an initial whole-house deep clean prior to setting up recurring services. The night before, I got a reminder text, and they arrived on-time the next day. They cleaned everything except for the two rooms we hadn't unpacked. The difference was like night and day. They wiped down every surface, used chopsticks to get into hard to reach places, and even cleaned our crawl space. Everything was cleaned and returned to its place. Bottles, decor, even the top of the cabinets. I almost cried when they were done because it felt like a completely new home. They even cleaned our windows for us! It took 6-7 hours, which was exactly the estimate given and the cost was the same. We recently had our first monthly recurring cleaning and they did an equally thorough job. This time, it was a lot quicker since they had deep cleaned before. It still took 3-4 hours since they had to finish deep cleaning the other rooms, but I didn't mind. We paid extra for them to clean our outdoor storage areas, and I was still blown away at how wonderful of a job they did. I am super social and talkative, and they don't seem to mind, nor does it slow them down. I'm so glad that they had availability for recurring services because I have no idea what I'd do without them. I don't have any before/after pictures, but trust me when I say that it was shocking how clean everything was. A few things to keep in mind: They are not the cheapest cleaning service, nor are they the quickest. HOWEVER they are worth the time and money. Requested a quote for tile and grout cleaning in bathrooms. I was told it would be a 3-5 hour job for 3 bathrooms and quoted me 447-596 dollars. I agreed to the price, and stated it will probably be on the low end because my bathrooms are in decent shape. I said I didn't expect to pay more than 500 dollars. The vendor declined to perform the work despite me offering a price that was within their estimate. It seems like this vendor likes to provide price ranges, but doesn't like to settle on a price before performing work. That's not how business is done. No homeowner should agree to have someone perform work on their home without an agreed upon price. Very poor business practice and customer service. What a waste of time. Rodrigo and his wife cleaned both my bathrooms and deep cleaned the kitchen. The kitchen was in dire need of a good scrub down, as it hasn't had a deep clean in about 5 years. They did an amazing job on cleaning everything and worked extremely hard to make sure all the spots I wanted was scrubbed down. ***NOTE: I did not use their services, so this review is not pertinent to their services*** I texted to inquire about the cost of an initial clean and a regular (monthly) cleaning. I was told the initial would be $120/hour for 3 people to come in, and then they would provide a flat monthly rate. I was providing pertinent information like sqft, last professional clean, # of bedrooms and bathrooms, etc. He said it's based on how long it takes them to finish. I was hoping to just get an estimated cost or alternatively requested he come to provide an in-person estimate based on size/condition, which is what all of the cleaning companies I've worked with have done in the past.. He said they just come and do the work. I asked if there's any estimate he could possibly give and the response? 3-5 hours at $120/hour, which means $360-600 was the "estimate" for the initial cleaning. He declined to do an on-site estimate. The problem wasn't the price, it was really the lack of price. With that said, $360-600 estimate is a huge range. Who agrees to have cleaners come with a virtual open ended price/ without a quote or set price?? He was generally polite in our interaction, but I still couldn't fathom how anyone agrees to let people come over and do a cleaning without knowing what it might cost them.. read more

I would say these cleaners are a rip off. I asked them to clean our apartment in November 2020, and at that time they charge $110/hour for deep clean for 2 cleaners. I said yes, because I was determined to have our place cleaned. They told me that the cleaning would take 3-5 hours for a first-time deep cleaning. They arrived 20 minutes late. It was Veronica and a very old, slow-moving lady. Veronica started to clean the bathroom while the other cleaned the bedroom. It took them 2.5 hours with our upstairs and they purposely work so slow, because it was Veronica who did all the cleaning; the other was simply someone to show that "2 people" are cleaning, but the other one isn't really helpful. They did not clean all the exhaust fan upstairs, and left one still super dusty (I found this after they left). Our bedroom was not really dirty, and I did stay upstairs to supervise them but only for the first 30 minutes, but the rest I had to go down for a meeting. Veronica was on the phone all the time, esp when I check up on them, which I think contributes to the slow cleaning. I had to rush them to tell them it's their time to clean downstairs, and by that time, they said they have to leave at 1pm (in 30 minutes) for another appointment at another house. They also forgot to bring cleaning extensions to clean hard to reach areas, when in prior communications with Rodrigo I asked him for a ladder because I want top of our loft windows and light fixtures cleaned. Because they did not have the extensions, our light fixtures and windows were left dirty. They cleaned half of our living room and downstairs bathroom for 30minutes! If they can do that fast, why would they stay upstairs in one bathroom for 2 hours?! They were such in a rush to leave that they left the kitchen all dirty, with all the dust from the living room exhaust. They downstairs toilet bowl was all yellow, and I had to clean up after them because they left in such a hurry. All this for $350+ tip! They offered to come back to finish the job, but never did. 3 cleaners came to my home and did an initial house cleaning. It didn't take them very long since I keep things pretty tidy on my own, but they did all kinds of cleaning that I cannot do like cleaning light fixtures on the tall ceiling, the bathroom vent (I saw him take it apart, clean it, and replace the vent), and scrubbed my little toaster oven that had a lot of stuff on its walls that don't come off with a simple wash. The best was the mopping because I have personal reasons that make mopping a 1-2 hour job for me. They were all very friendly and worked quickly. I used them for deep cleaning and there were 4 people cleaning the place though I was promised only 3. They did ab excellent job with the bathroom and kitchen. Would definitely recommend for the good job they did even if their price is slightly higher than other places. Hired this company to do a move out cleaning that my husband and I were just too busy to do properly. Truthfully, life has been too busy to keep up with major housework for a while and spending hours cleaning a place we were leaving was on the top of my "sucky things about moving" list. While researching cleaners and calling around to various companies, Tip Top kept coming to the top of the list, not for economical reasons but for quality/satisfaction with job performance, so I decided to give them a try. Tip Top achieved in just a few hours what would have taken us all day and then some to do. They did a bang up job on the bathroom shower that I thought would never get clean and when I noticed some gunk on the ceiling, Rodrigo said not to worry he would have someone come in an do the ceiling. Mind you, we did not originally ask them to do the ceilings so that was not on them and they could have declined to do it. We were very pleased with the attention to detail and their commitment to customer satisfaction. On two separate occasions we didn't hesitate to recommend Tip Top to our friends, and each person was very happy with the service they provided, thanking us for the recommendation. At $120 an hour, it was not a cheap job, but the quality of the work and the time/headaches they saved us was totally worth the price. I submitted a quote request and was contacted by their representative (Rodrigo) via Yelp email 1 or 2 days after I submitted the request. I was advised that the job would be based on how long they would take so he was non-comital as to price, other than their hourly rate. Again, based on their prior reviews, I decided to move ahead and advised Rodrigo that I wanted to have them clean our rental in S.J. These arrangements were made approximately 6 weeks in advance of the cleaning date so I figured that I was set. As the date of the cleaning was approaching, I reached out to Rodrigo approximately 3 or 4 times in an effort to confirm the cleaning date via Yelp email...in vain. When he finally got back to me, it turns out that there was confusion on my part regarding the cleaning date: I thought that it was on 28th and he corrected me by reminding me that it was on the 21st. Regardless, the confusion was cleared up in time to have him schedule a cleaning, which Rodrigo refused to schedule. When I mentioned that I would share my experience on Yelp, he said and I quote: " Yelp offers you over 500 home cleaning services, why waste your time writing a review for a service you are not getting? It's up to you..." Frankly, I was floored with his final email. And now, as a direct result of his lack of communication and last minute cancelation, I'm rushing around trying to find someone that is, in fact, good on their word. I can only wonder how in God's name he got such good reviews...he must have many family and friends that know how to write them because my experience suggests that this guy is a flake in every sense of the word!
