I first noticed this place here on Yelp and wanted to give it a try, and I also noticed them on Groupon so I figured I'd check it out. I opted for a walk-in as their listing dictates you don't need an appointment. Upon walking in the door I was able to get in right away. The front desk staff leaves a bit to be desired however. They weren't very friendly and I felt like a bother to them. I received the spa pedi & mani which was great. The Groupon deal came with a complimentary glass of wine - BONUS! :-) My service provider was very kind and sweet, she did a great job! I do have to say that for as big as this place is, the manicure area is really cramped. My service provider's station was right next to the front desk and she kept getting bumped by the people walking by. It wasn't a very luxurious experience for that portion. Overall I'm very pleased with my experience and will probably go back. I do hope though that they find more friendly front desk staff though. read more

The decor is very soothing and calming, you get a choice of oils for the massage and my massage therapist was the nicest! She made sure to really work on my tense areas and the whole experience was just fantastic! I will definitely be back. This is a great place! I saw some of the other comments and I have not experienced any of the issues: the people at the reception are young smart women, not arrogant at all. And as far as up-sell, by no means any more than in any other salon of the kind - in fact rather the contrary. These are small businesses that work hard to survive. So let me start this off by saying my bad. I bought a Groupon for a spa mani/pedi package and didn't notice it said new customers only. So I can't be too upset that I wasn't able to take advantage of such a wonderful deal. However I am also I FIRM believer in making sure you have happy clients and when it's been since the salon first opened since their last visit I would have extended the offer in hopes to make a returning client. The first time around couldn't have been that outstanding because I haven't been back since. I want to also say that I have worked in the beauty industry for the past 10 years and my clients were my first priority, if they weren't happy, neither was I. So this is how it went... I walked in and was greeted by 2 teenagers that seemed like they couldn't care less to be there. No smiles, not cheerful, not the slightest bit helpful. After being told that my voucher was only good for new clients but my money could be used for services they asked me to pick out a color of polish. I found it weird that after asking if I still wanted to do mani/pedi together and I said no, there was no other options given even when it would have been nice to know the various pedicure services that were offered. Really all I wanted was the pedi but thought getting a package with a mani was a nice bonus. So I stuck with my spa pedi only and wandered around the kind of cramped entrance. After standing around for a while I was told that I could go wait in the lounge until my sister got there. Tiffany was the woman that did my pedicure. She was very sweet and seemed to take her time. Her massage was very relaxing and my nails looked really wonderful when she was done. When we went to pay we the total for the spa pedi was $40. The Groupon was a $47 value. So after taking the total away you're left with $7 of money that you have spent. We asked if it could be transferred to our nail techs as tips and told no there was NO other options given. Not a you can put that towards this or that. Just we can only give tips off of cards or cash. So there we stand not only disappointed that we couldn't take advantage of the deal we are paying $47 for a service that only cost $40. So we left feeling ripped off. Not to mention that we couldn't leave our techs high and dry and not tip them. It's not there fault. So needless to say I will not be returning. The only reason it gets 2 stars is Tiffany. Those are only for her. If I could give her the stars alone I would give her 4. But I can't separate out her services from this review. There are cheaper, friendlier, more professional salons out there that I would way rather spend my money at. I definitely don't like feeling ripped off with an attitude. read more

When the nails broke after 2 days, I went in to have them removed and was CHARGED for the removal. During this process I was left abruptly several times and when questioning the charges was met with very rude behavior. I interacted with 6 people just for a manicure and pedicure. Disappointing. Color samples do not match actual colors. The nail polish is applied in such thick layers that it actually leaks under the lamp. The cuticles are not properly removed. I love this salon! Great services for great prices! I love that they often have Groupon or LivingSocial deals available; being a working graduate student, this lets me treat myself on a budget! Their manis and pedis are wonderful. I have also had an introductory massage there, and it was fabulous. This is basically the only salon I go to for nails. The one and only reason that I don't rate 5/5 stars, is because their student discount only applies to grade school age customers (18 years old and younger). As I said before, as a graduate student, I am on a limited budget, and think that the discount should apply to those still in school, no matter what the age, especially because more college/grad students are paying for their own services vs. grade school students having their parents pay for their services. read more

I left with less lashes then I went in with. I also called salon to talk to management about it and they said they'd call me back. Never did. My daughter and I had a spa mani-pedi here recently, and they seemed to have forgotten about the "spa" part. Very rushed and rudimentary, and not relaxing at all. I absolutely would not recommend getting a massage here! Upon walking in from the snowstorm outside, I stomped off my boots on the entry mat and the massage therapist sighed at me and said "we'll have to mop that up". She was not friendly at all and seemed annoyed the entire massage. Halfway through, the music turned off and she never turned it back on. After the massage, she kept pushing her products and a treatment plan on me even though I repeatedly politely declined. She was then frustrated that I didn't buy anything or book another service and had the audacity to lecture me on my tip amount which was already more than I had wanted to leave given her attitude. She also felt inconvenienced that I had a gift certificate and told me "just be quiet while I figure out how to make this easiest for me". The massage itself was nice, but be prepared for a therapist with a bad attitude and a pushy sales plan afterwards. read more

Do NOT go here. I got lash extensions here today and it was honestly the worst experience at a salon that I've ever had. The lady who did my lashes was rude and unfriendly. She didn't even ask me how I wanted my lashes, what length/thickness I wanted, etc, just started putting them on. When I left and got in my car, I looked at them in the mirror and they were outrageously long. Like looked absolutely horrible. So I went back into the salon and spoke with the lady at the front desk. She went and talked to the person who did my lashes, came back and told me that there was nothing they could do. I said I was unhappy with them so there should be something they could do, and she just said no. Didn't try to fix them in any way or make me happy. She was just rude. I called a bunch of other lash places when I left and there are PLENTY of things you can do, one being offering to take them off. The technician should do everything she can to make it better if I am unhappy with my lashes. Never going here again. Horrible service, rude employees, and terrible lash extensions. read more

This place was always my favorite nail salon growing up and after moving back to Minnesota I was so excited to see all the deals they offer (email list and groupon) now, which pulled me back in. This is the ONLY nail salon in MN I have found that actually can execute SNS dip powder. I'm 3 weeks post manicure and the top coat is just now starting to chip off. I would HIGHLY recommend. Only negative is its $50 for dip SNS which is pretty steep but it seems that's pretty standard to Minnesota for this service and if you are going to pay that you mind as well go here since the environment and service is so great. You feel like your at a day spa the whole time your there. I also tried a rejuv facial last time I was in and felt that my esthetician really knew what she was doing and focused in on acne break outs with her blue light which really cleared things up for me and I felt the effects overall on my skin for a few days. I wanted to be thrilled to have a nail spa right around the corner, however my experience was less than uplifting. I was quoted one price on the phone, then charged almost double that amount. I was embarrassed and felt totally disrespected, humiliated. Coming from an upscale background, this was a new experience for me. I went here on a Groupon. The staff was pretty friendly and the place is nice. I had a mani pedicure and it was not that great my pedicure was mediocre at best. The French manicure is extra. Which I expected. However I have natural nails and I like them to be creamy colored not stark white the lady did not speak English very well so I had a difficult time communicating this staff stepped in and tried to help but they weren't successful either. The receptionist tried to find it herself and could not. I settled for the white not a big deal but for a high end salon I don't think this should be an impossible request. What's very disappointing is that my polish which I believe was gel didn't last more than a couple of days before chipping. Bottom line this salon seemed cluttered with boxes on the floor and the floor was very dirty. They did start cleaning it while I was there but it was filthy and a Saturday afternoon seemed like a weird time to clean floors with a full house of customers. My adult daughter was visiting from out of town. As part of her short visit we were going to get manicures together. I had been to this nail spa once before, had to wait 10 minutes or so, but no big deal. This time with appointments made days in advance we had a 30 minute wait, and then we finally just walked out. They had a child's birthday party in the back, and apparently were short staffed. Terrible customer service and terrible management. UPDATE- The owner just emailed me and offered her sincere apologies and a complimentary manicure at a future date for both my daughter and myself. Unfortunately my daughter lives in Boston. She said there are some management issues. Obviously! It was really disorganized. However, mistakes happen and just glad to see the owner cares and apologized. Hopefully they will get their act together. It is a lovely salon inside. I would recommend to them to not host birthday parties. They should focus on being a pampering high end spa, which they have the potential of being. read more

I want to start out by saying I really appreciate the atmosphere of the salon; it was soothing, relaxing and fun at the same time. I had a spa manicure with gel polish done before my wedding and honeymoon a few months ago. I had not had gel done before and was happy with the results, the polish looked lovely and stayed on the entire 2 weeks we were out of the country which really surprised me! Everyone at the salon was friendly, made our bridal party feel welcome and did a great job getting us out on time which was key to sticking with our crazy wedding weekend schedule. The reason I am not giving the services a higher rating is because when I went to get the gel polish removed it took over 45 minutes and probably would have been longer had I not had to leave for a family obligation. Since I was in a time crunch and only factored in 20 minutes (max) to remove the polish (as I was told by the salon), I was forced to leave with a bit of polish still on my nails, my nails feeling EXTREMELY rough and beat up as well as weak and sort of painful. Some of my fingers were filed and scraped (to get the polish off) so far down you could see the bruised skin below them. I was very dissatisfied with the process of removing the gel polish which soured the experience a bit for me. I am unsure if this is how all gel polish is when it is removed or not, but if that is the case I would have liked to have known that up front in making the decision of gel vs regular polish. I was not told that was what it took to get them off or that it would take so much time. I don't mean to be completely negative, as I completely stand by the greatness of the salon as a whole, just wish the end process would have been more positive. I would definitely go back to the salon in a heartbeat, but will not go anywhere near that gel polish again. read more

I went here with my significant other for mani/pedis. My session was okay, but my boyfriend walked away with FIVE bleeding cuticles (3 toes and 2 fingers). They attempted to stop the bleeding with drops, but ended up giving him bandaids for his fingers (which didn't stop the bleeding). Before you ask, no, the poor guy doesn't have a blood clotting issue ;-). We had purchased a couple of Groupons for this visit, and the salon offered to give him a free mani pedi in the future. My twin sister and I have been getting our nails done here since they opened. I can't believe this is the first time I've written a review. I absolutely love this place. If you are looking for a bachelorette party or a wedding shower or you're just out for a girls night of fun, they have an awesome back room that supports about 12 people to get their nails done at the same time. All of the technicians are very skilled and have great professionalism. I have also received A massage and facial from the same location. Both of them were great. I purchased an hour groupon to sample an hour massage. They ...the receptionist...had me fill out a form indicating areas to avoid and what to focus on during my hour. I gave this then to the therapist. Unfortunately the therapist had other ideas. Despite me telling her that I wanted her to focus the entire hour on the backside of my body she had other ideas. She gave me a full body massage..both sides of my body. I explicitly on the paperwork said to Not massage the front side of my body..my head, hands and feet...she pretty much did whatever she wanted to do. I told her also to only massage my IT bands, hamstrings, glutes and lower back. I used to come here for massages and facials, and I enjoyed the experiance but when they changed aestheticians I got one that must have been trained at a used car dealership, because after service she immediately pushed product and follow-up visits on me. I know they typically make money on top of the product sales and obviously the more you come back they more money they make but I don't like hard sells so I never went back. read more
