Hate leave a bad review. Ford is a great provider, but…read more.. Looks like onvida is pulling a new billing scam. At the ENT clinic we had to sign an agreement that its a hospital service and a physician service and a hospital service will be charged. There will be a charge and a copay for both. I'd like to downgrade the review from two stars to zero stars, what is noted in the first section, doctor Ford is still a good provider. Unfortunately, the front office was an exercise in futility to be generous. We were unable to schedule the follow-up visit and were told to call back in a month. Then we tried to schedule to get hearing AIDS. They gave us a printed sheet of paper to call somebody else, and they started commenting about insurance that isn't ours, and finally realized they weren't even looking at the correct account. They were looking at somebody else's chart entirely. Obviously more annoyed than embarrassed at their incompetence, at that point they just tried to do everything they could to get us out of the office as fast as possible instead of taking care of us. I am not even angry. I'm appalled. How can a health care provider? They just said they were going to double charge and double co pay then say we just don't want your money. Go away. We're too incompetent to take care of you. I think they need to have their hearing checked. They said you may have to pay it out-of-pocket and then I said i'm aware of that. I'll pay it in cash $100 bills if necessary. So why in the hell couldn't they schedule it.

This is a tough one. Most (not all) of the actual providers are okay to great, but the company is…read moremercenary and has inappropriate clerical and front office staff training. Mercenary: Two charges and two copays for a (not at the hospital) visit to see one provider for one service. Maybe its legal, but its certainly morally ambiguous. Poor Training: Unable to schedule follow up visit at time of current visit. Have to call back in a month. More Poor Training: Tried to schedule a different service and was handed a number to call somebody else for an insurance company we don't even have. Then I realized they were looking at somebody else's account. Instead of apologizing and trying to get things straight they just seemed to want to get us out of the office as fast as possible. Saying they would check with our insurance and call us. It's not covered by the insurance I was willing to pay out of pocket, but they never even let it get to that point. My mom needs hearing aids. I'm willing to pay in cash with $100 bills if need be, but Onvida's ENT clinic on Avenue B just wanted to get rid of us. Generally, Dr Patrick Ford is a great provider there, but he could stand to know a little more about the other directly related services within the clinic. I'd give Dr Ford 4 stars, but Onvida as an organization would get just 1. Given that the cost of Onvida (a community non-profit medical organization) is among the most expensive in the country, my experience today taking my mom to see the doctor was very disappointing. I went with my mom today with every intent of doing whatever was necessary to get her hearing aids going, and left feeling like Onvida doesn't want our business at any price. It was pretty terrible.

It looks like the staff has a great relationship with each other. It seems like a friendly environment but if you're a travel nurse you might have some trouble fitting in. However, I had a great travel nurse take care of me. I was finally seen by a doctor named Christina Hernandez. She ordered a lot of exams to try and figure out what was wrong with me. Unfortunately we did not find a solution but she did recommend I follow up with a specialist. I give this place 5 stars because this medical team helped me feel better in a time of need with great service and compassion Although I did not get a solution I was satisfied with the effort I was given. Thank you !! If I ever feel sick I will definitely come back or recommend others to visit this hospital ! (P.S keep some cranberry juice in stock lol)

I walked into a waiting room packed with frustrated, visibly sick people who had clearly been there…read morefor hours. One girl who had arrived around the same time as me had completely given up and was asleep on the floor. I had already passed out before getting there due to severe dehydration and illness, which is why I was brought in by ambulance in the first place. I came in dealing with intense vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, and extreme weakness. Given how serious my condition was, the care I received was incredibly disappointing. After my IV was placed, I was not properly monitored, and the IV tubing ended up filling with my blood. This caused me to pass out again, making an already frightening situation even more traumatic. It was nearly impossible to get anyone's attention when I needed help. My fiancé and I would stop doctors and nurses passing by to ask for assistance, only to be told we needed to wait for our assigned nurse or they would simply look confused and walk away without helping. That was absolutely unbelievable. After getting sick and having severe diarrhea, no one offered assistance, not even something as simple as wipes. I ended up sitting in soiled clothes for almost two hours until my fiancé had to ask a security guard to watch me so he could run to the car and grab clean clothes. Trying to get more IV fluids felt like pulling teeth, and several staff members were unnecessarily rude to my fiancé, even though he was just trying to help me. I spent about four hours stuck in an uncomfortable wheelchair while feeling incredibly weak and sick. At one point, I was so desperate for help that I was begging my fiancé to take me somewhere else. Accessibility was another major issue. None of the doors, including the bathroom doors, had handicap accessible buttons, so every trip to the restroom was a struggle for both me and my fiancé. I will say the doctor I saw was kind and professional, and I appreciated that. Unfortunately, that was one of the only positives. The emergency bed was uncomfortable, the blankets were thin, and the entire hospital felt freezing. To make matters worse, when I was finally discharged around midnight, no one even offered a wheelchair to help me get to the car despite knowing how weak I was. I had to slowly walk, hunched over and barely able to support myself, while my fiancé helped me every step of the way. At that point, I just wanted to get out of there. Overall, this was one of the worst ER experiences I've ever had. The ambulance staff were far more compassionate and helpful than most of the ER staff. If I could give zero stars, I would. I was just passing through on a road trip and never expected to be treated this poorly. No patient especially one arriving by ambulance after losing consciousness should feel ignored, humiliated, or left without basic care
