My mother was on a wait list for a place but she wasn't ready to go when an opening came up and unfortunately there was not an opening now that she was ready. I called Senior Care Authority and Harp answered my call. She was an angel. She quickly gathered a list of potential care-homes for me to look at in the price range I could afford and I was able to do some phone interviews and I toured three of the houses. Harp toured the house I was most interested in with me. It was a new care-home opening up. I was able to pick the room I wanted for my mother and she was able to get a private room. There are only 6 residents so I know my mother isn't lost in a large facility. The house is beautiful and they keep it spotless. Visiting hours are very reasonable. They keep a good schedule for the residents and they have hospice available. The food they serve is very good. Harp came to the post Acute Care facility my mother was in after the hospital released her from their care. She helped me with all of my paperwork and coordinating the release date from Post Acute Care. She came to the house and checked on us the day I moved my mother in which was really sweet. This was a situation I wouldn't wish on anyone. It's scary and emotional and so stressful. Once Medicare says "no more care" you have to take your family member out of the facility or pay out of pocket. You want to do the right thing. If you can't take care of your parents for whatever reason in your own home or their home, you want to find the right situation for them and be able to afford it. There's so many horror stories out there. I can't recommend Harp at Senior Care Authority highly enough for helping me make it through the whole event and getting me through to the other side. Getting help from someone that knows what she's doing was the best decision I made. Thank you Harp!!!!!

The entire staff is always attentive and respectful and the home is always clean and tidy. Sarah, Percy, Teru and Paul are the wonderful caregivers and Ester prepares all their meals, truly Angels on Earth. Our family is blessed to have mom in this truly loving environment and highly recommend this HOME to anyone interested.

As my father in law is now approaching 102 (next month), the level of care is now essential and "round the clock". With us living on the East Coast and for my wife's father to be able to remain in his own home, having a fully reliable and conscientious service was not only very important but now has become a true requirement. Because of the commitment and dedication of the owner and a number of also extraordinary staff members, we believe that the care provided has most often been truly excellent. Over now more than 2 years, Assisting Hands has earned our Trust and Confidence. When a caregiver was unavailable, Assisting Hands has always been agile and "there" to assure continuous "on site" coverage, without exception. We thank the owner and a large number of caregivers for their fine efforts, often exceeding high expectations, and delivering a level of service that has permitted my father in law to be able to stay in his home, as he very much wanted and currently desires. Should there be any questions that could be addressed by us, kindly contact the owner of Assisting Hands for our Western, New York contact information. It is true for us that a partnership with an organization such as Assisting Hands works best when there is an active family support person(s) in full contact with the service provider. The owner of Assisting Hands has gone well beyond more than both normal and high expectations to personally do everything possible to provide quality, timely, and proactive service. We have been very impressed and appreciative for the excellent overall personal services received. We very much recognize what Assisting Hands has provided for our family. We are grateful to my wife's sister for finding Assisting Hands and initiating its services, and to Nina for her caring approach in running her business. JGU

I'm on active duty in the U.S. Navy and have been trying to assist my father from afar for several years. He was living in an Independent Living facility there but his health and overall condition were declining. We decided to move him out to be near me in San Diego. I was connected with Shelby, who was extremely supportive and savvy at dealing with all of the various entities in both FL and CA. She quickly put everything in motion to facilitate his move out here, but unfortunately, my father's condition rapidly worsened and he passed away before we could make the move. I was fortunately able to make it out there to be with him when he passed. I really wish I had learned about Windward and the services that they provide quite a while ago, as there are so many things to navigate in the realm of senior care. Shelby, in particularly, was compassionate, responsive, and very knowledgeable on all aspects of care. I've personally recommended to friends to reach out to Windward in trying to assist their aging parents, and would do the same for anybody here. Thank you!

She didn't want to have to move into an institution and I didn't want her in one either. However I also didn't want her in a place so small there wasn't activities and stimulation. I'm so happy that with the help of a placement guide we found HarborView. It's a beautiful mansion with manicured gardens set on a hill overlooking the stunning San Diego Bay that has 30 residents, a full staff and daily activities. After moving in we quickly found out that the staff is what really makes this place special. They are loving, attentive, respectful, courteous, caring and fun. There are always lots of smiles, laughter and music to enjoy as well as good food and the highest quality of care. I cannot recommend this place more. HarborView Senior Assisted Living was truly an answer to our prayers. It was the perfect place for my beloved mother's final days. It is a beautiful loving caring home, not an institution. She has left us now, but she was both blessed and enriched by the love and care she received from their wonderful staff. I, and all of our family, was blessed by them as well. Thank you HarborView.
