On my only day off they told me the could install my flowmaster I bought for my truck..dropped my truck off at 2..at 5 I called and asked what time my truck would be done they said right at 6..not 15 mins later they Call me back and said well your truck will be done at 8am..I said I have work there no way ..so i wasted my only day off trying to treat myself to a new muffler ..and when I picked up my truck they were very rude had a oh well. Not recommended! They are very expensive and their staff does not appear well trained. The management is good at lip service, but after returning my wife's vehicle several times after a very expensive repair, it still was not running properly. The car was returned with parts not properly installed and a greasy rag was left under the driver's seat. Very unprofessional, in my opinion. Management was baffled by the continuing problems, and I was frustrated with spending so much time and inconvenience in having to return numerous times for the same problem. If you want doughnuts, coffee and a free shuttle while waiting for a very expensive but improperly performed repair, this is the place for you. Otherwise, there are much better choices. read more

NOT A FAN SADLY! My brakes went out after a trip down the mountains so I called Exclusive after all the on-line reviews. I was quoted a price on the phone of whats the most it could cost & was happy enough. When I called back 10 minutes later to make sure it included the rotors I was now speaking with a different person a female that told me that it was impossible to give a quote over the phone without seeing the car! I told her that they have to have some idea as to how much the job could cost & was then told it could cost 10 gran for all she knew without seeing the car! YELP, all I wanted was a brake job not an overhaul on a 98 Ford Tauras! Needless to say I took my business elsewhere! read more

I had put a complaint here recently but have now removed it. Mike the owner wound up calling me right away to discuss what had happened during a recent service. He owned up to a few errors on their part and is now refunding the fee I was mistakingly charged. I'm totally impressed with the fact that he took the time to contact me as the result of an indirect complaint here. Its not like I called him directly and left a message. I only gave this business a star because I can't give zero stars. I used to be a loyal customer that did business in my community until I had a horrible experience with this company. I'm not certain who owns the company now because I every time I go I deal with someone new. I took my Jeep in for service 2017 and paid for over 3,000 dollars worth of work. Upper and lower ball joints front and back shocks. The works. Recently I took my Jeep to the Dodge dealership in Redlands and was told I need to have the same work done again!!! What the fuck!!! It's been less than 2000 miles and now I have another 3,000 dollar bill for the same work!? Exclusive auto is a ripoff business!!! Buyer beware. Ask for the old parts. Take it to another mechanic. Don't be like me a trust someone in the community. If this helps I identified the person who supposedly ran the business at that time as Middle Eastern. I honestly would not take my vehicles anywhere else. I get the best prices, best quality work, and best customer service here. I've been going to Exclusive for about 2 years now, and I receive wonderful service always. I call them up tell them my issues, and when I drop my cars off, they always give me a ride to work. Actually once, they told me to drive my car over the weekend, and if it was ok, then come back in on Monday to pay my bill. Before asking for payment, they wanted to make sure my car issues were fixed, now how honest is that? and I was sick that day, and couldn't get there till Tuesday to pay, and they were ok with it.. You will be hard pressed to find another auto shop that is that honest!! read more

These guys are really great. I kept meaning to write a review after my service last week, but just had to get on it when I got a message from them today. They where just calling to make sure I was happy with everything. THEN, on top of that, I received a thank you note in the mail! They really went out of their way to track down a difficult part for me, and gave me a fair price. of course,they don't deserve 1 star at all...they are killer & murder!!! they can not fix my car with simple 4x4 lights on after 5 months!!!just give it back to me ...(they even don't try to call me ...) terrible thing is they cut off the coolant hose on purpose when i pick up the car...i am 100% sure!my car was running good except the light on(when i pick it up,there are 3 more lights on, i just give up) and no leaking at all when i send my car to them,and they told me the hose is little bit loose when i pick up the car...but 5 minutes later the car is smoking ,i found out the coolant hose was totally cut off!! !it is impossible they don't know when they point it out!!!he even touched it in front of me to show me the connector is loose--but very light finger touch ,only in case the hose falling off in front of me.... should i call police or contact lawyer?OMG!!! i really can not believe they are such bad people... read more

I had a great first experience at Exclusive and plan on returning for service on all my autos. The service is friendly, questions are answered in a straightforward way and the shuttle service is great. I found the price reasonable. Took my vehicle here in that they said that they were familiar with Mini Coopers and could replace and calibrate my timing chain and transmission. When I asked if they could make sure the engine light indicating that my vehicle was running rich would be remedied, the owner said "of course", "you're not going to pay $1,600.00" and we're not going to make sure everything is ok". days later I get a call and the owner tells me that my car is "fixed" by my alternator is bad and not working. I told him that shouldn't be the case because my alternator was just replaced. He replied with "I don't know what to tell you". Then I asked if he had checked the fault codes and he said "no". I replied with, "well can you?". He checked them and my car was littered with new fault codes that I didn't have before. He told me it was because of my alternator and that they would charge $700 to fix. I took my car out of there to have it repaired by someone else and my vehicle died out on the freeway and had to have it towed to the other repair shop. After running the diagnostics, the other repair shop informed me that my alternator was not bad but that Exclusive Auto had not timed vehicle properly which cause my vehicle to shut down. Calling Exclusive Auto back, the owner was very defensive and initially denied responsibility and asked me to bring the diagnostic printout and my vehicle to him. I did and 3 days later I got a call that my car was ready. When I asked what the problem was, the owner told me that my timing WAS off. No apology or reference to the horrible, and rude situation that they had put me in. read more

Do not take your car here! They had our car 1st off. They fixed some of the problem but did not do a thorough job and only fixed the symptom. Car is still not fixed. Took truck in with service engine light on. They fixed one of the problems but could not get the service engine light to turn off. Several trips later with same problem they still could not get service engine light off. We finally gave up and took it somewhere else. Apparently according to the mechanic we took it to they put an illegal filter on it and did not address the problem. They are very polite but in the end we felt they just wanted us to go away! We feel they are more interested in churning as many cars as they can out and not so much interested in quality. Will never go back. read more

If you want your car worked on by honest and professional people take it to Exclusive Auto in Yucaipa. This is the first shop where you can see what they are doing to your car when you are in the waiting room. The shop is a clean well kept up and all workers take pride in what they do. I own a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe and smelled oil burning and less than one minute looking at the car they found where it was coming from. The car is fixed and from now on Exclusive Auto will work on my Santa Fe and I will no longer be taking it to any RIP OFF Hyundai dealer. Donald Barker read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE BY ANY MEANS!!! OWNER IS A LIAR AND A CHEAT!!! I took my car to the shop for a pre-sale inspection and peace of mind for the person that was buying it. Car is a 2006 BMW 530i. I arrived at 8:15 and was quoted an hour to and hour and a half max, so agreed t to do it and wait. It took them over 2.5 hours to even get to the car. The mechanic that was doing the inspection was Walter. Walter takes my car for a test drive up the block to make sure that it isrunning properly I guess. I watch him pull out of the driveway and proceed to floor the car and hotrod the car up up the street. Then I watch him slam on the brakes and do a uturn in the middle of the street.. Floor the car again and attempt to brake to pull into their driveway. The driveway is at a 90 degree turn from the street and goes up a hill---on both sides of the driveway are dirt burms. He waits until last minute to brake and again slmas on the brakes and hits the dirt burm. I run out and scream at him. The owner comes out and tells me that he will take care of it. Tells Walter something and he takes the car behind the shop and out of site and proceeds to hose the front off. Long story short, I was mortified. The car had a few pounds of dirt up inside the valance. Scraps and deep gouges in to the bottom of the bumper. I was told again by the owner (SIngh I believe is his name) that he would take care of it. I wait another hour and a half (4 hours total) and get the car back in a lot worse of shape then when I bring it in, Keep in mind that I was there just for a pre-sale inspection. I have owned many cars in my years--from Prorsches to Lexus and everything in-between. I have had many dealings withe Dealerships and Local Mechanic shops----I HAVE NEVER had such a terrible experience.....EVER!!! As I leave I again ask the owner how he is going to take care of this---he tells me I can go to the local car wash and they can try to buff it out. These are gouges and deep scratches!!!! I proceeded to take the car to Ben Clymers Bodyshop just to get and estimate on the damage that Walter and Exclusive Auto caused to my car-----$945!!! A little more damage then a car wash buffing it out!! I would steer clear of this place at all costs. read more

This place is ridiculously expensive. They wanted to charge us $900 for brakes - no rotors! on a Ford. Seriously. They charged us $180 for an oil change and to give an estimate for the brakes. I had the poor judgment to allow this shop to replace a clutch in my car a few years back. They also replaced both master and slave cylinder. Car would not shift correctly after they finished and engine would rev high as if clutch were slipping. This was intermittent problem. Took it back and was told that it now needed synchros in transmission replaced. I took the car to actual professionals and had clutch replaced again with a factory rather than an aftermarket. To date have not had to have transmission worked on. They also told me battery was defective. Same battery is still starting the car several years later. These people at best are incompetent, and I believe they are considerably worse than that. Stay away from them. They give you free coffee, shuttle service, and lousy craftsmanship. read more

Went there for a oil leak, oil change, and computer error message ( drivetrain not working properly). I left my bmw on thursday and they called me back the next day saying they found the leak it was a valve seal needed replacement $450, computer message they charge me $80 for the tech to hook up to the computer and found they couldn't do anything, that i had to take it to the dealer for software update, two weeks later i called them to see if the car was ready they were supposed to call me back when it was done. They mention they called the wrong guy. $600 dollars later, Anyways i wont be doing anymore business with this auto repair shop they need to be train on how to have good customer service. The funny thing is i googled the error message and it told me it needs a software update only special shops and bmw dealers can do the software update. read more

Since the month of June 2013 until today Aug. 22, 2013, I have brought my car into Exclusive a total of 6 times and have spent around 1800.00 to find out the problem it was having and to purchase a major tune up. We initially spent around 300.00 to replace 2 computer chips which did not solve the problem. My husband assumed my car needed a tune up so he we spent 1450.00 more within a month. This time we drove it for a day or 2 and the car sounded like it was going to blow up so we took it back. The manager called us and admitted their technicians had made a mistake and had squashed one of the coils which made it run off of 6 cylinders instead of 8. Fair enough, I appreciated the honesty. so I took it back and they supposedly made it right. Since then my car has been misfiring, the check engine light comes on everyday and the car runs worse than it ever has. So I took it back Again. We received a phone call today stating that the timing belt was stretched out and that the cost of That repair would be 850.00. Come on now REALLY??? This car happens to be a 1992 Lexus LS400 that has only 118,000 miles on it. We have had it since March 2012. This car has been serviced by the same Lexus dealer in San Diego from 1992-2012. We have the service manual to prove it. Our mistake was to patronize the most highly rated repair shop in our community instead of driving to the nearest Lexus dealer which is in Riverside. Had we done so we would have saved a lot of money because after the fact we found out the Lexus dealer charges quite a bit less for the same services and they know what they are doing and don't guess at problems at the customer's expense. It's obvious that the technicians at Exclusive are not as highly trained as the business likes to profess. Our solution is to take our car to the Lexus dealer like we should have done the first time. Of course we are looking at a few hundred more dollars but the work will be guaranteed. Personally I feel like the integrity of my car will never be the same from the mistakes that were made by Exclusive technicians. Would I recommend this shop? Never. Were we offered any compensation for our time, trouble and damages? No. read more

I needed a major service done, plus had main engine seal leak, transmission leak, front differential leak (I have 150k miles). I had the lady in the office give me a quote on a couple of things during previous visits. They implemented a new email system where they auto-email out the list of things they think need to be done. So, I responded requesting a price quote. Got an email back from a "service manager" whom I did not know from my previous 10 or so visits (including one fairly major repair). He quoted me higher than the lady in the office had quoted me previously. I had a bad feeling, so I checked with the dealership that I used to go to - the price my dealer quoted was 25% less!!! On one of my previous visits, I had my radiator replaced. By that time I trusted them and didn't price shop. When my dealer was doing this round of work, I asked him what they would charge for the same radiator installed - the price he quoted was $200 less than I was charged at Exclusive The reason I went to Exclusive was because they did a great job at a fair (but a little on the high side) price, because their customer service people were very helpful and friendly, and because I could TRUST them. Maybe they are just getting their act together with the new email system, but I no longer trust them - I am done. Too bad - I have to drive an hour to go to my dealer. But I trust my service writer at the dealership, so it's worth the drive. read more

I love Exclusive. I have always hated having to have my Mercedes worked on because of the inconvenience and my general mistrust of the car repair community. The first time I came here, it was out of necessity. I work in Yucaipa but live in Murrieta. Over time, they have become the only place I use, even for routine services. They are honest, their prices are reasonable, they provide a shuttle to my work (not close), offer a discount on rentals, and keep you informed throughout the day on the progress of your repairs. They are friendly (even the shuttle drivers) and don't make you feel stupid just because you don't know about cars. I like the free car wash coupon as well. I have taken all of my vehicles to this business for the past 10 years and they have always done a great job. The prices on oil changes for high end cars can't be beat. The money I have saved on oil changes have made it worth it over what I would have paid at the dealers. You can't just take some of the high end cars to any oil changing business. Most won't be able to reset the warning device like the dealer or this place. They even occasionally send us valuable coupons for services which makes the savings even better. Now, I realize that they are a little high priced on other repairs however they do only use high quality parts and you do get what you pay for. Since the re-opening a few months ago under new ownership, I see that they are as busy as ever and still have the same high quality service they have always given. The new owners know the business. It's to my understanding that the new owners were with the company before and simply just purchased the business when the original owner decided to move on to other things. So, I tip my hat to the business and I'm sure glad the business re-opened. read more

Beware of this place. On 8/18/14 I brought my car in for an oil leak. I had my car towed there because the oil leak was causing the smoking and I was too scared to drive there. My was drivable when I left it there. They told me there were "two major oil leaks" and it would cost me $810 to fix them. They kept telling me they were working on the car every time I called to check on the status. They don't call you. I would have to call to check on the status. I thought my car would be ready the following day. Then they told me I barely figure out the problem that were the two leaks and were in ordering the parts. My car would be ready by the end of the day. They told me get a rental with Enterprise for $25/day since they have contract with Enterprise. They told me my car would be done by the end of the following day which was 8/19/14. I called the following day. I went to Enterprise to return the rental and got a call from them. They told me that my car wouldn't done today and that I can keep the rental car and they would pay for it and that my car would be done by end of 8/20/14. That didn't happen. They called me on 8/21/14 and told me my "car is ready and is good to go". And that they fixed the oil leaks and test drove my car for 5 miles and it was running good. I stopped by shop after work to pay for it. They gave me a discount before it took them too long to work on my car. I ended paying $713 for the leaks. When I went to start my car, it did not start and it was dead! I couldn't believe it! They told me it was fixed and everything was good. Then after I paid the bill, my car didn't even start!!! Again, they told me to keep the rental car and they will continue to work on my car. Up until 8/27/14, I received a call and was told they supposedly found the problem while my car didn't start. They said it was "a head bolt that broke and got into the timing chain" and this the reason why my car stopping running! What?? My car was in running condition why I brought it in for the oil leaks that they even confirmed and it was on their paperwork, now it's something else? They told me it would cost me at least another $2500 to fix this problem!!!!!! Mind you they had my car at their location for 10 days and disassembled my car in pieces to figure out the issue why my car stopped running after they supposedly fixed the oil leaks. Now they want more money from me? The owner tried his best to defense his technician that it was not his fault and that he didn't break the head bolt while working on my car. I asked how did he know that for sure? His answer was that he knows that his technician didn't do that but provided no proof as to how he knows this for sure. This makes me think, the technician might broke the head bolt while spending the whole 10 days working on my car. The owner refused to take responsibility to fix my car and return it in the working condition. He told me on 8/28/14 that I would have to pick up my car if I don't want to pay the additional $2500 for this so-called new problem. I had no choice but to pick up my car the following day. I couldn't even drive it and had it towed to my car. $713 later, my car is in worst condition than the day I brought it in. My car is sitting in my garage now and I have car drive to work or other places. I don't have the spare $2500 to give them to fix it and this doesn't mean my car will be drivable again. Now I'm left with carless and they refused to stand by their business promise. I am very much regretted bringing my car there. This is a very greedy and dishonest business. They took my hard earned money, damaged my car, made empty promises, and returned my car back in a useless condition. PLEASE, SAVE YOURSELF HEADACHE AND MONEY, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH EXCLUSIVE AUTO.
