I had taken my car to get a simple oil change... next thing I know I needed 4 tires a radiator flush, tire rods, synthetic not regular oil 30$ to 120$ wow. after double checking with my mechanic yes the tires were expired, my car i bought had 51000 miles. my mechanic doesn't sell tires but said that should be a priority... so I took back to firestone... oh yeah the tire rods were marked with silver marker left by another mechanic before we bought car. so any ways I took to firestone had tires done, radiator flush, tire rods and oil change all upsold (which they get commission to upsell) 1600$ after that done i felt comfortable taking the car to chula vista from forest falls. after leaving a canceled concert we were in traffic and bam my car started smoking and my dial overheating we pulled over opened hood and yes was over heating... I waited a while and when I checked reservoir it was empty... wait it was just filled (which stupid me I didn't check, I trusted gary from yucapia calif. firestone.) no coolant.. I put a gallon of coolant, luckily I had, because of my wife, and drove to gas station. bought another gallon because must be a leak somewhere, nope still full. stayed at hotel till morning, and to put .25 of the new gallon to fill to max cold. checked under car, no leak no fluid on floor. drove back to forest falls, no leak no over heat, what the hell, Mike from furestone called about my bad review, said he would like to check it. I declined and took to my mechanic, he checked and checked, and drove it and checked everything nothing wrong... asked why my freon was empty because he checked it the day before we took it to firestone and it had freon... gary from yucapia must have emptied it to sell us a compressor, that was bad.. lieing scumm.... and wouldn't u guess it I checked and the old marks on my tire rods still there, apparently he didn't replace he adjusted and charges us for new.... no sorry no my bad., just a response we couldn't have done anything wrong must be your car.... I wanted a refund for the work that caused my car to overheat and the tire rods he didn't replace. my mechanic before all this happen showed me the marks, and since I am a senior on a limited income, he told me whe should replace tires more important do those first, and that's when all hell broke. I bet if u would respond with ur dealings with firestone in yucapia, I would get more bad reciews with your dealings with firestone in yucapia.. As a 30's female I'm given absolutely absurd quotes every time I try to come here. They attempt to rip you off and tell you that things need repair when they do not, padding your invoice. I no longer trust these guys, and recommend using their services to diagnose problems and then finding an honest mechanic to confirm the accuracy of and perform said repairs. Usually they find I don't need half the repairs I'm quoted from this place... Today I politely declined a $2,000 A/C repair quote and they passive aggressively parked my car in direct sun, on a 95 degree day, when there were 6 nice shady spots open in the same area. Oh, and being that I've been a long time customer here I can't help but notice that this was the first time they've ever parked my car there, as well as one of the only times I haven't actually authorized a repair. Coincidence? Probably not. Considering the large amount of money I've spent here over the years, and with them knowing I have no working A/C, I find it absolutely rude, inconsiderate and intentional of them, when a little common sense/ common courtesy could have made my day a lot more comfortable. Had an appointment for 10:00am drop off vehicle at 10:00am, told them I would wait, grab a bite to eat came back at 11:10am vehicle hadn't been moved, I asked about it they said their mechanic hasn't been able to get to my vehicle I asked how long it would be before my vehicle would be completed they stated 30-45min. I said ok waited another 10min my vehicle still hadn't been put on the alignment rack I started getting impatient asked for my keys back and left. It took me some time to find a good local trustworthy shop for my car to get routine work done, after going there for years the owner finally sold it and has to start all over. Found FireStone and thought I'd give it a try, upon walking in the place was spotless, clean, and greeted immediately by the staff that made you feel beyond welcomed to be there. They were attentive to my needs and giving a detailed break down of their services that would be performed that I went in for. During the work if they locate other stuff they take detailed photos come in and show you and simply let you know it is work that is needed or will be needed in the near future. They do not pressure you into getting it done they simply show you the photos for support let you know and allow you to decide when you'd like to do it. Complete class from this business and not pressuring/upselling clients into work on the spot. I have been going here for close to a year now with both my cars and never have any issues. The waiting area and work area for the techs are always extremely clean and organized. The staff really enjoys being there, Gary and the two front line girls that work with him, remember all their customers when they walk through the door greeting them by name and asking how life has been. This type of service keeps people coming back time after time. Also the pure honesty of what work needs done and not pressuring customers is the cherry on top, as we all know most other shops out there sadly tend to upsell things that are not needed or try to pressure you into additional services, but you won't find that here. GRILS AVOID THIS PLACE. I always go to this Firestone because the members are always super nice. The past two times I went they screwed me over. Went in for a routine oil change and tire rotation and came out with my car malfunctioning. They broke the air filter and gave me the car back as nothing was wrong, did not even make past across the street without the car turning off on me. The last time I went they OVERCHARGED me for the work on an oil change, tire rotation, and change of spark plugs. Once the phone they had quoted me "$6.95" and when I asked $6.95 for each spark plug and they answered with a yes. Usually spark plugs range from $6-$12 each so I did not think any of it. When I get to the shop my total ended up being $720 for everything they had done on the car. This place is such a ripoff and will not be a returning customer ever again. And said that they would get me a new key wanting me to meet them at ace hardware. My key has a chip in it so it was 100$ to get I had to do all the homework. Had to go to a dealer. They didn't even know that. Please get a second opinion before you have them do the work. Rip offs big time. Basically to make that sorry short they sold me their rental car... and didn't tell me. But anyway! Gary is one of the managers here at the Yucaipa Firestone. He is beyond the nicest man you'll ever meet. He has even gone so far as he knew I had to find a home for a puppy and he reached out to everyone he knew and actually found me someone who was interested. He doesn't push me to get a firestone credit card or tries to tell me it'll help in the long run, even though it would in some situations I find myself in with my car. He loves to socialize and for me I love that, but I know some people may not. I'm now 24 weeks pregnant & he knows my husband is a marine and isn't around to help me, so he tells me what to look out for in the car. They will always try to make room for you in the schedule even if you're a walk in. I've been to other Firestone's and they treat me and other people like bologna. Rough one here, fool me once shame on me...fool me twice...danget ive been ripped off again and now im just handing you money! We first called and made an appointment to find out that when we arrived at our appointment... that the guy who specializes in caddys called off. No big deal but you should have called. We make an appointment for a couple days later. Guess freakin wut.... The OTHER guy wasnt there so they needed to call them in or something? So we left our car with them. Anyways we had our caddy serviced as it was giving us a jumpy ride when going up hills... we were told it was our fuel pump ... got that fixed, same problem arised, now its the gas line.... fixed.... nope now its 5 other problems we didnt originally have. I literally felt like it was the absolute epidemy of mechanics trying to meet quota or something. They tried squeezing every penny they could to fix this. The numbers got up way higher than we wanted at around 1000 bucks ish So they never found the problem and we had it serviced with cadillac in riverside which came and picked it up and told us it was some coils and would cost us 150 bucks. They even test drove it to make sure it was correct BEFORE calling us back. I never wanna deal with this again. But hey on the bright side theyll change your tire quick... Not a place id recommend but a great place to watch movies in the lobby at the cost of your left foot read more

I just want to say it is night and day from this wonderful Firestone to the horrible Firestone in Redlands. These employees at the Yucaipa one treat me so good and make me feel welcome. They say I can either stay and wait for my car or go and do some thing so I don't have to wait but that they don't mind me waiting in the waiting room because that's what it's there for. In Redlands they say they don't like when people wait in the waiting room because they do shady stuff. This Firestone makes me feel like family and proves to me that not everywhere is the same even if it's the same company.
