I was impressed by reading the 5 star reviews on Yelp and contacted Axel & Aaron Painting. We sent photos of the job to Kimberly (as requested) first, and received thier verbal quote from her. Since we hadn't met in-person and the quote was just verbal off of the photos, we wanted to meet them at our rental property to review the scope of work. My husband and I met at our rental property with the two owners, Pedro and Kimberly, and all went well. My husband spent considerable time with Pedro discussing the prep work needed. We felt comfortable proceeding, and even told them about our next job, in hopes that they could also do that (if all went well). But on Day 1 things did not go well. Two workers came to pressure wash, but Pedro was never onsite. The workers were done and left within 2 hours, before we could get back to the rental to see the work. It's a large deck and large porch with raijlings, and we found many areas had been missed, so we called them to let them know right away. My husband sent them photos as well showing the mildew and dirty areas that still needed more pressure washing (see some of the photos). We expected Pedro would of course want to come back out himself that afternoon, or the next day, Day 2, since the prep and painting wasn't going to start until Day 3, so there was still time. Kimberly, after receiving the photos, was dismissive and told us by phone "this is normal and those areas can just be sanded before painting". You cannot sand away, or paint over the mold/mildew they left behind. I think it would likely have taken 1 hour more of pressure washing and they would stay on track to start prep and paint/stain on Day 3 (the second day of work) but there was no response or assurance from Pedro it would be addressed. That evening they sent the bid with an extra $300 add-on for the "option" of two colors "IF" we were to decide to paint the railings white. This was the first and only written proposal, and it seemed fair, so we were still ready to proceed. We just needed confirmation from Kimberly, or a callback from Pedro that they would come back to finish the missed areas since. There was no still no reply. Instead, the next morning, we got an email as follows: "Unfortunately, we won't be able to complete your staining project as planned. As we mentioned before, pressure wash was completed. Sorry we couldn't meet your expectations.". This is very unprofessional and caused us (and our tentants) a huge inconvenience. We saw RED FLAGS, and we were beginning to question if we should go any further with them. I am certain the quality would have been shoddy.

Dec 16, 2020, Hired Mike Howard to repair structural damaged to my home caused by extensive dry rot…read moredamage. This was not a trivial job. The dry rot had compromised a main structural corner beam which supported the second story. The repair would first require building a temporary support to hold up the second story while removing the damaged support beam and replacing all of the dry rot wood. The repair process required first coordinating with a structural engineer to design a repair plan and then with the Snohomish County office to issue a repair permit. Mike was very helpful through the entire process. Mike was confident that he could perform the repair safely and within code without an engineering drawing, but suggested that the drawing would likely be required for the county to issue the permit. I decided to get the engineering drawing and Mike was right. The county flat out said that this repair required an engineering review and drawing. I told Mike I would hire him for the job, but only after I saw and understood what the repair plan entailed. Mike met with the engineer to discuss the repair job and then Mike outlined for me exactly how he would complete the repair. While listening to Mike explain the repair process it was apparent to me that he completely understood the structural design of a home. Having a contractor with this type of experience and knowledge was the only way I would go. Mike was a pleasure to work with. He answered all of my questions with integrity and no BS. I decided to take the 2 days off to watch the work performed. Mike had no issues with this. He discussed the work while it was in process and I always felt comfortable with his decisions and confidence. The work was done in accordance to the engineering drawing and the permit was signed off and closed without any issues. They even painted the wrong color on my trim the and after one coat they started to pack up and leave and I said what's going on and they said we're done and I said no you're not you're supposed to put two coats on. I have owned and had painted three other houses and this was the worst paint job I have ever seen in my life. My neighbors were appalled at the work. This was a $7000 job back in 2019. The owner didn't come and check on them. The project manager never came and checked on them. He finally sent out a guy who hand painted the entire house and who also was appalled at how this owner of this paint company was behaving. I told them I wanted a discount for not only the time I had to put in it, but because he broke his verbal agreement about having a project manager check often on the paint job. That is the only reason I hired this company, but he lied to me about that. I will never recommend this company. After the second guy came in handpainted the house. I approved it and he called the owner and the owner came out immediately, which he hadn't done before., Why because he wanted his money right now. I said I wanted money off and he said no and he's very tall and over me and threatened me and threatened to sue me and that I would have a letter from his lawyer the next morning. I said go ahead. I have pictures of everything. I've documented everything and I will sue you for not keeping your word and for three weeks of my time trying to deal with this company. They absolutely suck. A friend of mine who lives in Monroe where this company is told me that people in her neighborhood had hired them and their paint jobs were completely a mess. So do not hire this company. This owner is not a fair person and he is threatening and angry when you. Confront him. Never never ever use this company. When he came out that last time, I also tried to show him that they dripped paint all over my stamped concrete patio and he yelled at me no no no you can't start adding things on and I'm like what, your people did this and you need to correct it and he said no way it's too late. I hadn't even paid him yet.! Horrible company, horrible owner, workers just it on said they were done and it looked horrible. I have pictures of all the places they patched and it is the worst job I've ever seen. I can't see enough do not . I am still under my 10 year warranty and the patchwork is not looking good anymore so I'll be calling him soon to get his ass out here and fix it. I spent so many hours so much time trying to get this corrected that I feel he owes me money for my time this company.

I was a bit of a skeptic with all the glowing reviews but figured, let give him a shot and like many other customers, I couldn't be happier with this decision. Gabriel stands by his work and goes above and beyond with customer service. For exterior house painting, his bid came in competitive and he indicated he would provide 2 coats of paint. As we walked around the house I was impressed by all the items he was calling out that they would take care of after pressure washing and for prep along with his attention to detail. When they showed up to do the work, I provided input on a few things just to make sure that it wouldn't be missed during prep and they always said sure, we'll take care of it without hesitation. Gabriel even helped me understand their process further and explained a few things to me, which I appreciated. During the final walk through, I already marked a handful of small things with tape (inevitably there will always be a few touchups and polishing touches needed) and Gabriel was quick to add more blue tape for items that he would fix. The house looks amazing and I get lots of compliments from neighbors. I will continue to use and refer High Quality Painting, LLC.

I had Exterior Crew perform a full siding replacement on my parent's house toward the end of last…read moresummer (2019) in preparation for its sale. Exterior Crew came in with a realistic bid and got the job. They started the job when promised and a friendly and professional crew showed up. During the work the crew was available for questions and were very courteous. The company management was always available by phone, text or email. During the initial phases of the work I received a 'right to lien property' notice from a materials supplier, which is a standard practice. I called the supplier and asked about Exterior Crew's payment history. They said they were good payers and that I really had nothing to be concerned about. Having had problems with liens due to poor character contractors, this was good news to me. After the job had started I noticed an exterior door that had dry rot at the bottom of the door frame. This had not been noticed previously and I asked what it would take to include the door replacement in the job. A fair add on price was negotiated and the company manager provided me a sample of available doors. One was selected and the door was put in with no hassle. Exterior Crew also does painting but I have a house painter friend and I was able to have him come in after and do his thing. At least one of the other bidders for this work did not like that I had my own painter and I feel their bid included a penalty for not having them do the additional work. Exterior Crew was fine with this situation and just did their work with no issues. The job was completed in a timely manner and they did a reasonable cleanup after. I couldn't ask for anything more on the siding job While the siding job on the house was underway, I had a long term commercial tenant in a building I manage request the exterior be painted ASAP. The owner's are responsible for the building exterior per the lease. By this time it was getting into September and I really needed the paint job to get done fairly quickly to beat the cool wet weather. Exterior Crew was able to get painters on the site within a reasonably short period of time. Due to the tight time frame I was unable to secure multiple bids, and I am not confident in knowing specifically how much this job should cost. As beating the weather was the most important issue I just went ahead and had Exterior Crew do the work. While I cannot attest to the competitive cost of the paint job, the most important thing to me was getting the painting done quickly and if it turned out that I paid a bit of a premium for this, then so be it. They solved the problem for me and the tenant was happy. That's all I really needed. At time of this writing I have discovered a dry rot problem at my house. I've performed some small dry rot repairs on my own, but this one is more involved than I want to tackle. I've asked Exterior Crew to come and give me an estimate because I have confidence in their work and appreciate how they operate their business.

I had a WONDERFUL experience with Oleksandr and his team at Kovch Construction!…read more There were over a dozen huge holes in my walls after doing a full plumbing repipe in my new house, so everything needed drywall patches, mud, paint, and texture. There were also holes through the backs of the cabinets under every sink. I collected a LOT of estimates. Most people wanted over twice what Oleksandr quoted - and didn't have the glowing positive reviews he has, especially noting the quality and cleanliness of his work. Spoiler warning: the other reviews were right! Oleksandr and his team were so polite and professional (including punctual and communicative!). Whenever I asked a question or pointed out something important to me (like carefully covering the brand-new mini-split to protect it from drywall dust, or making sure my gecko's heater was safe near the plastic sheeting), they listened carefully and made sure I was satisfied with the answer. That's a big deal for someone with schema about "not bothering people". There were a LOT of little touches that proved they cared and respected my property. I felt comfortable and secure leaving my house for three days while they worked. The other companies I asked told me they "couldn't repair" the sink cabinet holes, despite the fact that I kept the removed pieces which had pretty clean edges. One guy insisted he would only repair them with plywood, but most said I would just have to live with the holes. Oleksandr set my expectations that he could reinstall the pieces, but they might not look perfect. That was fine by me! And yet, they actually ended up FAR better than expected. They fixed the drywall, replaced the cabinet pieces, and sealed the edges - sure you can see the cabinet repairs if you look for them, but in ambient lighting, the under-sink patches are pretty well unnoticeable. The quality of the finished wall work totally blew me away. You would never have known there were holes everywhere. I absolutely marveled when they were done - walking around my house with my mouth agape, like I'd never been in a house before. I'm not exaggerating - I'm so, so pleased. They even smoothed out the ugly screw pops in my stairway! These pros left my place EXTREMELY clean considering how horribly messy drywall dust is. What little I found after they left couldn't even count as being "dusty" (and not a SPECK was on the mini-split). And they remembered to put the carpet protectors back on my sofa feet when they moved it back into place, and very kindly checked the exact placement of my home theater speakers (of utmost concern to me). This kind of project is super stressful for anyone, and especially for a first-time homeowner. It's rare and difficult to find businesses you can trust in this world. I'm so grateful to Oleksandr and his team for making this process so easy on me, and with fantastic results - it couldn't have gone any better even if I'd paid twice as much. I'll definitely call Kovch Construction next time I need anything they do, and I'll gladly recommend them to everyone who mentions a similar project to me!

They arrived every day at 9am sharp, as they said they would and completed in 3 days (also as promised), and it looks perfect! Looks like they installed it over brand new framing.
