I debated writing this review but the 2 barbers argued about which one would service me. There was no problem for them to service the Caucasian women who had come in. I'm not sure what that was about seeing as the barbers looked Egyptian themselves. The quality of the service wasn't worth the hour wait. I won't be back. I have chosen the "Supercuts" on Pepperidge Square a couple of years ago, and usually I do my haircuts and color with stylist and colorist-Ms. Kimberly, But yesterday she wasn't available and I had both hair cut and the full head color service done with the stylist Mr. Abdel. He had done an absolutely wonderful job: I've recently literally botched my hair, because it's grown so long that I could no longer tolerate the site of it and had it fallen on my face & eyes all the time... and felt and looked just horrible ! Abdel was able to reverse the situation masterfully and worked extremely precisely and truly expertly ! It felt, as if he touched every single hair strain and paid attention to it. The hair style looked so nice and Precise and in harmony with the whole head of hair ! And the coloring job was done with same attention to detail, as well where each Strand of hair was colored and grays were covered evenly and fully ! I was throughly impressed with my experience at Supercuts. I've been to many Supercuts locations for years, and I've always been happy with the results, but this location really stands out because of the nice stylists. I was a walk in and did not make an appointment. My pandemic hair had gotten out of hand and I just decided it was time to act now and take about 4 inches off. There were a couple of other people who were before me in the queue, so I got to listen in and was really pleased with the COVID protocols. Everyone was instructed to wash their hands before taking a chair, and everyone wore masks. It felt safe and I appreciated the careful consideration given to safety. My stylist was Natalie and she did a magnificent job with my haircut! I have a chic, new bob with cute bangs and I'm really happy with it! She was really pleasant to converse with and seemed like she genuinely loves what she does. Avoid! I went in for a trim and color. I showed her a color which was a light brown. She showed me a quarter inch she was going to cut. She took it upon herself to dye the crown lighter to make it look natural. Nothing about an orange hue looks natural. She cut like 3 inches off. I didn't notice the awfulness of it until I got home where there's normal lights and not those terrible salon lights. I called to complain but it says voicemail not set up after one ring. This Supercuts location is a great place to get your haircut with professional services with lower prices. (I love a good deal.) I request Abdel to cut my hair because he takes his time, puts effort into styling it and always asks to make sure I am completely satisfied with my cut and style. He is very professional, friendly, and most of all, does a great job cutting hair. Even when Abdel isn't available, the other stylists do a great job styling my hair. TL;DR - go to Abdel and everything will be fine! This Supercuts is great. The manager, Abdel Adawi, has been cutting my hair for over 10 years now. He has a dedicated following of customers, some of whom have been going to see him longer than me. I've seen him with plenty of loyal female customers, but he has even more male customers who have followed him religiously from his previous Supercuts location on Hillcrest by SMU, and who will wait patiently for an hour for him even though other stylists are open & available. I'm sure the other stylists are great, they are always friendly, the store is always clean & comfortable, but at the end of the day I'm there for Abdel - all around great guy, very professional, and always gets my hair right every time! I came in from out of town and am unfamiliar with the area, but chose to dive extra distance to this location because of the strong yelp reviews. I went in to get a long overdo cut, and when I walked in they were busy. I was told it would take 40 minutes (my fault for not calling ahead) and I had at least 3 people in front of me. However, they are very efficient - that wait was probably 20 minutes at the most. The staff is super friendly and professional and will get you in, out, and on your way looking great. This place is PHENOMENAL! Home away from home 100%! My husband and I absolutely refuse to take our hair business anywhere else! The stylist are extremely upbeat with warm and welcoming professionalism. Abdel particularly has been taking care of us for the past year now and we keep forgetting just that...only 1 year...i swear it feels like he has been a close friend of ours for decades!
