My experience with Executive Honda was really disappointing. I called to inquire about a specific vehicle listed on their website. The sales associate (Amber) was nice & forthrite, confirming the vehicle was available & answering all of my questions. The interaction left me feeling positive about this dealership, so I requested an appointment to see that specific car. They confirmed my appointment via text multiple times. The morning of the appointment (that's today!) I decided to text that same number to confirm that the vehicle was still there, as the drive to this dealership is almost 2 hours from my home. They responded & told me that the vehicle was sold, but I should take a look at their other options & let them know which I was interested in so they could have them ready for my appointment. I never showed any interest in their other vehicles. I was very clear that there was one single car I wanted to see, & so that's the car I made an appointment to see. They sold the car & were never going to tell me. They were going to let me drive 2 hours one way to find out the car was gone. That's a really dodgy business practice. Not only will I not be buying a vehicle from a dealership willing to waste my time like this, I'll definitely be advising other people to stay away as well. Visiting from out of town and called about an issue I was having with my key fob. Was told to try changing the battery myself since their next opening is a week away. I had my car Honda warranty repaired because it was making a weird vibration. Brought it in on a Friday they said they would have it done by Monday. No big deal. Monday they called and said they had an issue installing the part and had to order a new part and would give me a loaner so I could get to work. Ok. The next day I was bringing the car back and as I was pulling into the lot I hear a knock on the rear drivers side door. I couldn't see anything but it sounded like a rock or something hit the back. As I pulled in the guy taking the car was freaking out about the damage to the car before I could even get out to see the scratch on the door. They charged me $1000 to fix the door on the car i had because they messed up fixing my car right the first time. Never going back here for anything again. read more

I would give this dealership zero stars if possible. I purchased a vehicle there and after only 50k miles it was burning tons of oil. I had to PAY MYSELF out of pocket for an oil change from them to start an oil consumption test. Long story short it burned 1 quart of oil every 1k miles. They suggested a costly repair of piston rings and misc other parts that would fix the issue. We paid for the repairs (that took three weeks) because they assured us this would fix the problem. It did not. The vehicle was burning more oil than it was prior to the "repairs". When we picked the vehicle up we noticed IT WAS MISSING A MOTOR MOUNT BOLT. Thats right- even though it was "inspected" they let us drive it away without a motor mount attached which is extremely dangerous. When I brought it back to get the bolt installed, they did not even apologize. We have driven the vehicle for about 30k miles since the repair constantly adding oil. We just did another oil consumption test that I again had to pay out of pocket for and they made me go back FOUR times to check the levels. They agreed the vehicle was burning oil at a rate of 1 quart per 1000 miles. After all of this the sales manager told me there is nothing else they could do for me. They made me go back there four times knowing they were not going to do anything for me about but. They were quick to take more of my money though knowing this. No matter what I said they were just extremely rude and condescending towards me, especially the sales manager Joe. They acted extremely dismissive of this massive issue and did not care at all to help us fix this issue. The only suggestion he had was to charge us nearly $4000 to get a replacement short block. We did not even get to drive this vehicle 100k miles since we purchased it from this dealer. You would think this dealership would stand by the vehicles they sell. Once this stealership makes the sale they can care less about you or the vehicle. Worst dealership experience I have ever had in my life. I also have a friend who went here and was treated the exact same way and they did not want to fix his transmission after it blew two weeks after he purchased a vehicle from them. They finally agreed to fix it and after three or four weeks he picked it up and the transmission was still blown. They had a mechanic drive with him and he also confirmed it was still blown. I will NEVER ever go to this dealership again and urge anyone reading this to help yourself out and DO NOT GO HERE. Terrible ! Executive Honda seems to lack communication and professionalism. Made an appointment two days prior to see a vehicle. I got three texts to confirm the appointment. All three texts I said yes. I drove an hour one way to get there. Long story short, they loaned the vehicle. What car dealership does that?! Took my car to Executive Honda to get an oil change and tire rotation. I purchased my Honda here many years ago and have serviced it here for years. So when I brought it in today, I was shocked to hear that it was $98.00 for the oil change and tire rotation! I looked up the same service at Honda of Watertown and it was about $30.00 cheater at Honda of Watertown! When I brought this up, I was told that it wAs their price, nothing they can do and they can't match the price. At the end of the day, DO NOT GO TO EXECUTIVE HONDA in Wallingford! They requested I put a deposit down on a vehicle I wanted to test drive.Test drove the car and didn't fit in the sardine can on wheels.So I requested a refund on my deposit right away. I understand when you are forced to bring your car to the dealership for service no matter how old your Honda is you will pay more than if you brought it to a regular mechanic. In my case I have an old Civic and the problem could only be fixed by Honda.... I accepted that I would get Sctupped going to the dealerships, however I did not expect the billing department to NOT offer some sort of payment plan or financing when I received a huge bill. This dealership consistently goes way above and beyond for the customer in every aspect. The sales experience is second to none and it is a team effort right up to the general manager. Zero Pressure and best price. The service department is the best there is without exception. They communicate with you through the entire service process and let you know all options that are available to you. Again, zero pressure. This place runs like a well-oiled machine. There are a lot of car dealers in Wallingford CT, but this one is special. The teamwork on display from my initial contact through picking up my new Honda Ridgeline was impressive to say the least. I own a Mazda but I come here to get my car detailed at least a couple times a year because of what an incredible job they do! It's a little pricey ($180) but worth it if you want every nook and cranny of your car looking brand new and perfect. Stopped in here because they were a large dealership and online they had listed several available cars in my price range and the make and model I wanted. Arrived there, everyone seemed pleasant enough. I took my first pick out for test drive. Everything looked good. Took it for a longer test drive alone, took it to my brother for his once-over, and he pointed out 5 or 6 broken parts of the car that needed to be fixed. Notice, the salesperson didn't point them out to me. Probably would have sold it to me with all the broken stuff on it. Went back to the dealership and sat down with the sales person to talk financials. He printed out the itemized sales and somehow, it was $600-$800 more than at other dealerships. When I started picking it apart, I noticed that they wanted to charge me $200 for VIN-etching. This is totally optional and they included it like it was a requirement. The kicker of it is, the car was ALREADY VIN-etched. They would have charged me $200 for something you can do with a $25 DIY kit you can buy, and then they wouldn't have done anything and collected the fee AND tax on it. There was also some other crap, the sales person tried to do some wheeling-dealing talk, and I was so disgruntled with their sales shark tactics, I left and never looked back. To Executive Honda: I went to Schaller Honda two days later and bought a car. Because of an HONEST sales person and pricing. read more

Went to Executive Honda to purchase a new Accord. When I got in the car to test drive it I noticed that the fuel was on empty so I checked the range -- 8 miles. When I told the salesman he said we would just stay close to the dealership and refused to put gas in the car. I told him that I would really like to try the car on the highway and again, he said no. He did offer to let me drive a different car; however that car had a different engine and was not the car I was looking at buying. After some prodding, the salesman asked a manager if he could fuel up the car and the manager also refused. At that point, I was happy to take my business and my money elsewhere! This review is for both sales and service. We have bought two cars from Executive Honda and had no problems each time from when we got on the lot to when we drove out with the new car. For my purchase, I had a wonderful salesperson named Dale (unfortunately is not there anymore) who listened to what my budget limits were, what I was looking for in a car and that I had a trade in. He showed me some cars on the lot that I would be interested in and we tested out a few. I finally settled on a Honda Accord that I really loved. There was no pressure, no BS, none of the "buy this car RIGHT NOW!!" vibe from Dale or the sales manager. I really liked that I was shown a selection of cars and I can take my time deciding. Only wished I got a bit more for my trade in. Unfortunately, when I went with hubby for his car shopping, he decided to go elsewhere when the salesperson who was helping us was very, very pushy. There will always be a couple of them regardless of which dealer you decide to go to, you just got to avoid them or return at another time and hope someone else will be better. I just lucked out with my experience. Service department staff is very friendly and professional. I had the 120k maintenance done in the fall and they even brought me into the shop area to show me a minor problem that was discovered (and fixed it for no extra charge!). Just recently I had an issue with my brakes and they gave me a free rental for one day since my car was inoperable until it was serviced. They are really great with quoting fair price estimates and sometimes will let you know if they reduced the total cost after your car is ready. If you get coupons for oil changes, USE THEM! Sometimes it's a bit cheaper to get an oil change somewhere else if you are a bit strapped with money. But other than that, I've always had a great experience with service. read more

I was a technician at a Mercedes-Benz dealership, and I am familiar with how flat-rate works. But I know that when the car was there for an hour and a half, the tech likely had the keys for maybe an hour, $444.33 is an outrageous labor cost. The alignment of the vehicle left worse than it arrived, and it was clear that the technician did not take the time to diagnose the vehicle properly. If I could rate zero stars or below, I would. I would advise anyone to avoid this service department, and if you have to deal with them, read your estimates and customer's copy of the repair order very carefully. Let's say for the sake of argument that the Honda dealership shop rate here is $100/hr (which would be outrageous in its own right) the time arrived was 9:30am, and the time ready to pick up was 11:00am the same day. Where would you get $444.33 for labor alone? read more

When I got there to look at it I was pleased with the reception I received and the knowledge the salesman had during the test drive, not only of the car I was driving but how it compared to other cars in it's class that I had been looking at.
