It's kind of like my condo downtown -- can look good from afar, but fixtures are cheap, the furniture is starting to wear, shelves in bathroom don't hold much and are off-kilter. There was baby food or vomit on the couch. Nice lighting in the washroom, but the walk-in shower pressure is barely enough to get shampoo out. The kitchen needs some cleaning supplies since there's no housekeeping. They also do not provide detergent to clean your own sheets because housekeeping isn't doing that either. They sell scented Tide® downstairs I'm told, but public places should be scent-free! I'm still trying to air out the bedsheets. Nice hanging closet w/ 2 robes (no slippers anymore), and closet with shelves. Top loading washer (which is great, but haven't tried it yet) to wash your bedding -- but bring detergent from home. I like the bed in the alcove in room 1905, but pillows need to be of better quality. Service has been sometimes excellent, sometimes non-existent. My phone is flashing but I was given wrong info on how to retrieve messages; turns out it was broken and I also was not getting incoming calls. I have been trying to get this problem resolved for 3 days! This is my biggest complaint so far because it's caused a lot of stress and I've missed VERY important calls. Rely only on your cell phone. I-net connection good. Some information I've been given could not be answered, I think CoV is still a confusing time here. Fridge is TINY, so you can't load it up with fresh stuff. The kitchen contains 4 small plates, 2 small bowls, 2 wine glasses, 2 regular glasses and cutlery. I ordered up a pot and received a kettle that was completely sticky on the handle and entire surface. Finally got a pot and a ladle (?) sent up. Had to buy my own sink cleanser and scouring pad. Luckily I brought 2 large stainless steel bowls, they've come in. handy. They need to supply more cleaning items if they want you to DIY. Also there's no Swiffer set for cleaning the floor, but if you call up you can get a vacuum to borrow. This is not workable, because it's hard having to call for stuff all the time and you also need to wet wash floors. We also need a toilet brush and cleanser! The toiletries are horrible. Very stinky with synthetic scents. Can't use any of them. They were better at Chelsea Hotel for $50 less a night. Management did help a lot with my specific concerns re: broken phone by moving me into a larger suite -- but 2004 has a flickering bathroom light (which I can't used until it's fixed), and the balcony door was blocked off with a dresser. 2004 is a more expensive suite, but it's a bit grungier, and doesnt feel anywhere as good as 1905 did. The bedroom is also pretty depressing compared to the lovely alcove bedroom in the studio. Bigger is not better here! read more

I booked a balcony room at The Executive Cosmopolitan with my husband. The staff was very nice. Naseem was so helpful in explaining about parking and providing directions to Niagara Falls. Even mapped out an alternate route as our travel up on the QEW was a disaster! The view was excellent & it was so nice to go out on the large balcony. The only suggestions I have is to supply paper towels for the kitchen, as well as a towel to place the dishes on. there was a dish rag to wash the dishes, but no dish towel to place the or dry the plates/utensils with. I thought that was odd. It's not so convenient to have to call Front Desk for pots/pans & ice. Overall, the room was very nice. Toronto is a great city. Friendly people and easy to navigate the underground walkway, subway, streetcars & buses. Great city and a great location for this hotel in the Financial district near the Entertainment district. read more

Holy shit. This is our second stay. The first time was during the summer and it wasn't the worst but this time, well, this time it is. They somehow charge $200/night as a damage deposit. Let me be clear, I could literally take a steaming shit directly into the television and set fire to the bed and still not do $200 in damages. Then the first room they provide has no heat, not just a cold room but no way to heat it because the heater only blows cold air. When my girlfriend calls down to them they ask her if she is sure. Like she doesn't know the difference between hot and cold. So the front desk guy invites himself up to confirm that there is only cold air. After this HVAC technician by day, bellhop by night confirms that my girlfriend isn't mentally challenged he moved us to a "family suite" in an "upgrade". Well I can confirm that the heat in this room does work but it also overlooks what appears to be the loudest, all-night construction site in town. Next time you're looking for a place to stay in downtown Toronto, skip this place and stay anywhere else. It literally costs the same as the Westin and is about $10/night less than the Royal York on Hotwire. read more

I stayed here during my travels to Toronto, and it was a great stay! I got a studio even though I didn't really need a kitchen, and the room was really small. It just fit a bed, and the bathroom was right next to it. I loved the shower though as it had the rain type of shower head as well as the hand-held ones. Water pressure was good and the shower was really comfortable. Amenities looked quite new, which I appreciated. The location is great as well as it's close to Union Station, in downtown, and close to a lot of the main streets, shops, and restaurants. Definitely a good spot to stay! read more

Positives - Good location. Our 1 BR suite was well laid out with ample space. Nice view of the city from the 22nd floor. Washer and dryer were in the room. Balcony was added bonus. Nice robes and room slippers as well. Check in was efficient Improvement Areas - Front desk staff efficient, but not particularly welcoming. Very bland reception. Room clean-up was very cursory - towels/soap/coffee replenished, but no sweeping or crispness to bed. Fitness area didn't have towels, water, cups, poor floor padding, and not enough mirrors for workout room. I expect these things from an upper scale hotel. read more

The front desk staff was very unprofessional. Making jokes to each other about hotdogs & other things as 4 people in line patiently waited. $40 for valet parking.. No thanks. We drove our car across the street & spent $9. First look at the room was good, very spacious. Then we noticed the dirty grout in the shower, stains on the walls, heating wasn't working very well.. I had the heat set at 26 & was shaking! Construction on the outside of the building across the street made my relaxing getaway not too relaxing.. That's understandably not something the staff at Cosmopolitan hotel could prevent. BUT they had their staff installing shower doors on our floor throughout the day.. Which was very disturbing. & was unpleasant to see the big empty boxes all over the hallway. No room service. Internet connection failed. I won't be going back to this hotel. read more

Some perks like the great suite layouts, kitchenette and big windows, but the coffee wasn't stocked, and giant windows mean lots of light which means it's impossible to sleep in. Probably one of the best hotels I've been in, in Toronto. The rooms are not HUGE but they're no royal york either, the service was decent as well, we had a few issues and they took care of them relatively quickly. We ordered a package and they actually forgot to put everything together so the hotel staff gave us a free bottle of champagne. It would've been nice if there was a free bottle of champagne and everything had been set but that's ok. There was a piece of chocolate in this package that I search for everyday of my life but cant find. It's a triangle chocolate piece of god! The view is cute, nothing amazing...but I had a north facing view I cant remember if there were rooms for a south facing view. The bed....was ahh omg so cozy. I dont think i've slept as well as I did in this bed... The location is good for tourist, its easy to get to everything including eaton centre, CN tower etc. For the price, in relation to the cost of everything else in Toronto this place has decent value. Came with a group of friends after buying a Living Social deal for a Zen suite. Eh, hospitality wasn't great, but the amenities (at least in one of our rooms) were nice. Our friends room had scuffs on the wall and the coffee table was chipped... Their room also didn't have a "menu" with the prices of the food and drinks they leave out, so we assumed if it wasn't locked or didn't have a pricetag, that it was included in the price of the room (the mini alcohols were locked in the fridge and the expensive water had an large label with a price on it). We assumed the bottle of wine was a nice complimentary treat. Not so. Our other room, which we got into later after housekeeping cleaned it, had the "menu" with the prices on it. Whoops. That wine wasn't free. The location was great. Walking distance to a lot of stuff, or close to a subway station. Like I said, though, the desk staff COULD have been more helpful. We asked one guy to call a cab and he just said, "Honestly, if you go outside and put your hand out, it will be faster" (but we ASKED, buddy), and he didn't have any reccommendations for a nice spot for dinner. read more

I like the suite layout. Service has always been friendly and helpful. I have not used the internet here (though others have commented that it is slow) more due to the logistics and not the price. When you attempt to login you need to call the front desk for access -- no automatic portal? Too tired to pick up the phone... I have only been here for business purposes and thus the bed (and sometimes the fridge) have been my only items of interest. The one problem I noted is that on my last trip my 'day' schedule was time shifted to start breakfast at 2:00 PM and that meant bed time was sometime around 3:00 AM. My daughter and I stayed here during our Toronto Trip in July. This was perfect for us because it is walking distance to a lot of things. I liked that we had a mini kitchen in our room, stove, kitchen sink, refrigerator, coffee pot, microwave, etc. If we wanted to, we had everything we needed to cook a meal. There is a restaurant downstairs and so much near by, restaurants, a pharmacy and I remember walking by a grocery store, but that might have been farther away. We came out to Toronto for my birthday and our 1 year wedding anniversary. We stayed for 9 nights. The hotel was wonderful! Our first night when we got in the room, there was a bottle of wine and glasses to welcome us! We initially had the standard room and realized we wanted more space and we were able to upgrade to the family suite the next day for the rest of our stay (thanks to the help from Sabrina and Getu!). The family suite was great! It is just like an apartment and had plenty of room! The bed was comfortable and we liked that the tv had an option to log into our google chrome to watch movies. The views from our room were also beautiful, especially at night! The location is great for walking to multiple attractions and restaurants as well, so we were able to get a lot done without having to coordinate transportation. The hotel is also close to the subway system and the trolly buses also are close by. We had a lovely stay, and it was elevated to the next level because of two wonderful staff members, Sabrina and Getu! They had multiple recommendations for places to go and see and provided wonderful customer service and made our stay so amazing! They went above and beyond when helping us to upgrade our room and made magic happen! We enjoyed seeing them both throughout our stay and getting to chat with them! We definitely will stay here again if we get another chance to vacation in Toronto! Thanks again for such a great experience! read more

First time in Canada! Checked into my hotel to find out the hotel deposit would NOT be able to be accepted on my US debit card. After feeling a bit in a bind, the manager stepped in to explain to me that it takes up to 45 days for returns so typically deposits are made in cash. I booked through Expedia and this information was given to me prior to my trip so check in was quite disturbing. After finding a bank that wouldn't charge us for ATM withdrawals, we were finally able to check up. Up to the 24th floor and BOOM! There it was, easily one of the nicest hotel ventures I have EVER experienced! Breathtaking views of Downtown Toronto and the CN Tower! Nice size kitchen, even washer and dryer! Bed was low profile, which I prefer. Location was near streetcar as well as subway and buses. Diners and plenty to eat nearby. Walking distance to Entertainent District. We will probably be back. will definitely bring cash ahead of time next time though. Two thumbs up over here. read more

I was there last week, and I didn't have a good experience. As there are so many other hotels in downtown Toronto, it was the first, and the last time for me. Let me start with the fact that I'm travelling a lot, so I can compare with other hotels I went to. One of the things you expect from a hotel is to have at least an alarm clock in the room. For some reason, I didn't have one. There is always the wake-up call, but I prefer the alarm as I can manage it myself, or snooze it. I know, it's not a first world problem, so let me continue with other unpleasant things. They had these nice glass shower with tile, but those were dirty. You know, when the sealant between the tiles are somewhere black. When you can clearly see the difference between those outside of the shower, and those in the shower. It was a bit disgusting. One thing that is good about this hotel, is that the rooms are like apartment. They have a complete kitchen, and washer/dryer. The only problem is that they don't seem to wash them quite often. I wanted to take a glass of water, but the glasses were covered by dust. Do I really need to wash my dishes before being able to use them? One of the things you don't expect with hotels is a fast internet connection, trust me. Usually they are fast enough to do basic stuffs like browsing, and emails, or if you are lucky, watching low resolution video. I tried the internet at different time of the day, and it was always so slow, that most of the time I was not able to load a web page with text, and some images. Hopefully, I had my Internet USB key with me! Last but not least about the room, I had two lights that were not working. It may be the last guest that didn't mention them, so I did, but I know that usually the cleaners take the times to verify those once in a while. Talking about not working stuff, my room came with a fountain. When I saw it I think it would be nice to try it, and relax to the sound of the water. The fountain was not working at all. I'm with you, these are not big deals, and they would be no big deal in a hotel with a better experience. When I wanted to checkout, the receptionist was talking with a friend about something personal. She saw me, and there is even another employee that let her know that people were waiting for her twice. She just waited to finish her conversation before serving us. The other girl, when I check-in, did something similar when she took the phone, and make me wait nearly 10 minutes after she started to serve me. The Cosmopolitan Hotel in Toronto would have been a great choice for a long stay, but with everything I list here that were just wrong, they won't see me there again. I think they are not investing for maintenance, and proper cleaning service. read more

Stayed here in a mid-sized suite for a small bachelorette party in August 2012. Although it appeared to be an upscale place, the service seemed incredibly suspect and sketchy. I'll start off by saying that the room itself was decent (if not smaller than expected.) The kitchenette was great, the bathroom was modern and tidy, and the bed was plush and comfortable. But the one tiny lamp in the main sitting area was broken, leaving our guests squinting in the dark for most of the evening. I arrived with a friend who had a car, and we inquired about the valet parking. The manager(?) or possibly "head valet" guy(?) directed us to another valet. He offered to give us a "deal" for $20. We agreed, but when we handed over the keys and money, he didn't offer us a claim ticket. Confused, my friend asked about the ticket, and he responded "You don't need one, just ask for me at the desk". She asked again "But how will you remember which car it is? Don't I need a ticket?" He walked away, seemingly pretending not to hear. (In hindsight, yes, we seemed terribly naive and REALLY should have grabbed her keys back and parked ourselves down the street.) When my friend called the lobby later that night to get her car, the woman at the desk said "Sure, what's your ticket number?" Exasperated and panicked, my friend went downstairs to sort it out (she did find the valet and got her car back just fine, but nearly had an aneurysm in the process.) A week later, the maid of honour - who had paid for the room - found an extra charge on her credit card of $45 for a bottle of the hotel's red wine. (She purposely hid the bottle during the party so that it wouldn't be mistakenly opened.) After arguing with the desk staff over the phone (they insisted their housekeeping found the bottle seal broken) she then asked to speak to the manager. The desk staff replied "Oh, well you don't have to do that - we'll just forget the charges then." SERIOUSLY? Something is seriously amiss with this place, as it's definitely not a coincidence that many other negative reviews have popped up within the last few months. Staff seemingly pocketing cash under the table? Allegedly fabricating extra room charges? (And then immediately backing off when the manager is asked to get involved?) SHADY. There's plenty of overpriced boutique hotels to spend your money on in this city. This shouldn't be one of them. read more

Booked this room to have a get together with friends for our birthday. Got the room with a queen sized bed and a pull out sofa bed. The moment we check in, the lady at the front desk was already giving us a hard time because there was 4 of us checking in. She kept telling me that this room is meant for 2 people. I told her that there will only be 2 of us staying but we're all here cause we need to get ready to go it for dinner. This went back and forth for way too long cause she didn't want to believe us which I understand but she was already assuming the worst the moment we walked in. After dinner we all came back to the hotel. Another front desk guy knocked on our door to check to see how many of us were there because security saw quite a few people coming into our room. I told him there are quite a few of us. He was nice and said it was fine because we were not loud at all. We were just sitting around and talking. No music. Literally less than 5 mins after he leaves, the same front desk lady calls me to complain that there are too many people in our room. I told her someone already came and he said it was fine because we were not loud. She then said that another guest had complained about us being noisy. Which is almost impossible cause we were genuinely quiet and just sitting around talking. She had had to be lying considering we were also the last room at the end of the hallway. Or to give her the benefit of the doubt, someone was sensitive to noise and we were too loud for them. A friend of ours had seen her downstairs complaining about us to the other guy even thought the guy had told her we were quiet. So she actually just wanted to get us into trouble. Maybe so she can fine us for money or just kick us out cause she wants to. We would've enjoyed our stay more if the lady wasn't so rude about everything and lying just to get us in trouble because the rooms were nice and clean and it had a nice atmosphere at a great location. read more

Reading all the entusiastic posts for Cosmopolitan Hotel, I want to give it 4 stars, but in truth it did not blow me away. It just wasn't right for me, but before I explain why it wasn't the right place for me let me tell you why it might be the right place for you. Reason #1 - You appreciate good service. The front desk staff was attentive and responsive. I felt welcome and taken care of by the staff. Reason #2 - You like to cook and having a kitchen while you're on vacation is important to you. You'll love being within 5 minutes away from St. Lawrence Market where you can stock your in room kitchen with fresh produce, meat, and grains from the fantastic market. Reason #3 - You have enough money to enjoy Shizen Spa while you're staying at Cosmopolitan. I wasn't able to take advantage of the spa as I was spending too much money on restaurants outside the hotel. Reason #4 - The rooms have balconies that wrap around the room (I was in the cheapest room and had one so I'm assuming all rooms do) Reason #5 - The bed is luxuriously comfortable. Reason #6 - Location. What gives? Why am I only rating Cosmopolitan 3 stars if I have so many good things to say? The primary reason was it missed on my expectations that it would be a yoga centric vibe with a spa atmosphere permeating my room. Yes there is a yoga mat rolled up in the closet. Yes there is a cd playing meditative music when you walk in your room for the first time. Yes there is bamboo on multiple shelves in the room. That's how Fodor's describes it at least. However these characteristics combined with the room layout and slightly worn furniture gave me the impression I was staying in a co-ed dorm vs. a spa. It fell flat for me. I left feeling I would have been better off bidding on a 5-star box hotel on priceline in the same location. If you have a long term stay in Toronto I'd recommend this place since it has a kitchen. read more

My boyfriend booked this hotel after some recommendations from friends, and we're glad we did! We could have lived in our suite (Tranquility Suite, 24th floor), it was so large. The view was great - you could see the waterfront, the highway, and a lot of downtown. All the staff was very pleasant, and housekeeping did a great job of tidying up. It's very close to Eaton Centre, Yonge-Dundas Square, and pretty much everything you want in downtown Toronto. Breakfast was included with the room, which he had the final morning before we hit the road. Pastries and fresh fruit are the perfect breakfast! Along with all the carbs you want, and fresh juice you can drink. I definitely recommend this as a place to stay downtown. It's a smaller hotel, which makes it very charming. read more

Hello home. With a kitchen, in suite laundry, and turn down service that includes your choice of incense, it's kinda hard not to like it here. I booked a Lotus Room on hotels.com. Plenty big enough for me, the room's amenities are what sold me here. glassed in and large shower with Deserving Thyme toiletries, waffled-robes, the coziest, biggest towels, double wall windows and a wrap around balcony (albeit pretty narrow), plus the aforementioned kitchen - complete with cutlery, a dishwasher, and stocked mini-fridge, equaled happiness. The Cosmopolitan boasts a very central location and friendly staff that say hello to you when you arrive and goodbye when you leave. Wi-fi is not included in third party web rates, but when the deal is good ($110/night in my case) and the wi-fi is $12, it's not so bad. Definitely number one on my list of beds to crash my jet-lagged head on. (fingers crossed for more deals so I can afford to stay here again and again!) read more

I love this hotel, you can rent rooms that feel like apartments. On my last trip, i got a suite, which was a one bedroom apt, for a very competitive rate, costs about same as a regular room at one of the more well known places. Anyway, it was great. was able to host and have my artist friends over for drinks and keep the night alive after shows at NXNE. Great place, nice hospitality. definitely recommend. also, if you search on web, you can find some deals there. it's worth it!! read more

The Cosmo is in a fantastic area - right off Yonge between Wellington and King. Access to anything and everything but also nicely tucked away from the loud busy streets on Colborne. It is certainly very sleek and zen. The room was spacious and set up like an apartment with a full kitchen, closests, ensuite and bedroom with a wrap around balcony. There are just 5 rooms per floor so it feels nice and private. All in all, a great little escape to the city that I highly reccomend. read more

The place is a bunch of condos so there is little wiggle room when you tried to be sneaky and have 4 people stay. The staff was nice enough to bring us a cot and 1 person in our group got stuck with the floor. All in all...nothing horrible about the place, but wouldn't pay top dollar. read more

I had stayed here on an earlier trip and had a good experience so I re-booked this hotel on my last trip to Toronto. This time the room layout wasn't as nice. You'll have to keep the blinds drawn or the people in the other buildings are looking right in your room. Another issue is they don't have any USB charging ports in the room or a desk to work from. However, my main complaint was the parking charges. These were not disclosed up front, and when I got my bill I found that there was a $45 per night charge. The restaurant also left something to be desired. The first night I had a rack of lamb that was excellent. I tried the Ribeye the next night. This is my favorite hotel to stay at when I come up to Toronto with work. The service is excellent, they always remember my name and are very helpful with any of my requests. This is a boutique hotel so it is farily quiet. The rooms are large (size is bigger than my nyc apt!) with a seperate kitchen area and living room space with a desk. Location is great, very close to all the banks in the area and a couple of good after work places to eat and drink. read more

The Cosmopolitan Hotel is fantastic, it's the epitome of boutique hotels in a big city. It's super welcoming and comfortable, and you feel more like you're in your apartment than a hotel room. We arrived and were quickly checked in. I went to my room to be welcomed by some spa-sounding music, as well as the best mini bar and snack options I've ever seen. The room was in fact three... One full kitchen and living room, a great bathroom, and a separate bedroom. This made for a very comfortable stay, being able to separate work from play from sleep! The bed itself was SOOOOO comfortable... The comforter, the pillows... I wish my bed at home could be that nice! The bar in the lobby is great... Huge selection, great bartender who can make anything! There is a spa and a weight room, but I was unable to utilize either. So, I guess I'll just have to go back! Oh, and it's a walk away from dozens of hot restaurants, tons of shopping, and of course, the Hockey Hall of Fame! Next time I go to Toronto, I'm staying here. I stayed at the Cosmopolitan over the Canada Day/end of Pride weekend. I was met with great staff and superb accommodations and it's location put it close to transit stations and areas of interest in the downtown area. If you go there, try to find Bianca at the front desk. She was very knowledgeable and helpful in telling you anything you needed to know about the area - best breakfast places, shopping, attractions. She'll also help you avoid tourist traps and is just great fun to chat with. I'll be staying here again on my next trip north of the border, eh. read more

It was nice to staycation with all the accoutrements of home. I knew it was a suite but I opened a closet to find a washer and dryer. They were never used but it was very nice to know that I had the option. Isn't that what luxury is all about? Having options. A full kitchen with a dishwasher. If I had known I would brought my dishes with me. My apartment doesn't even have a dishwasher. This place felt like home. With an indulgent weekend around the Financial District it was actually wonderful to wind down the late evening with some more wine, a bit of music, a balcony and the comforts of home. I think we had been upgraded to one of the superior suites; so, it was the larger size available with plenty of space. What a perfect long weekend. This is my second time staying here and I think it's gotten better. The place is absolutely spotless, from the hallways to the sheets to the grout in the shower; even smells clean. I didn't expect the kitchenette, but it seems every room must have them? Front desk and all service is very courteous. Had a corner room, so all around the bed is full floor-to-ceiling windows around a queen bed. I just needed a place to sleep but this place gives you a tonne more that you didn't expect. Definitely on the edge of being in the boutique category. M Got a deal on Hotel Tonight; I'll return if I have to. To those complaining that the TV is just basic, gimme a break; you're in downtown Toronto. To those complaining about the views (my balcony faced the courtyard), gunner a break; if you want amazing views then pay $200 more and go elsewhere. tl;dr: the only problem with the place is that I don't want to drag my ass out of this bed :( read more

This review is long overdue, but let me say, I had a FANTASTIC time here. I booked a room here for Caribana and it was fantastic! The hotel is located in the middle of everything, so a car really isn't necessary. From the airport to the hotel using public transportation and walking took about 40 minutes total. Also nearby is Drake's restaurant Pick 6ix. The rooms are well appointed with a full kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom. Next time I return to Toronto, I'll be trying to book here again. read more

Stayed here for a long weekend getaway over the summer. It is in a wonderful location, just a block from a subway stop (King) and near the corner of two main roads where you can catch streetcars running in every direction. Very close to major tourist attractions. The hotel itself is on a quieter side street, though, so we didn't hear much of the city noise. The suites are a good size, although storage space is limited -- just a couple of drawers and a small closet in the hallway. We really enjoyed having the kitchen to keep drinks cold, reheat leftovers, etc. Had we stayed longer, we'd definitely have taken advantage of the stove and done some cooking. The washer/dryer was also nice. The bathroom has a door with a frosted glass window, which you can see vague shapes through (for example, if someone is sitting or standing at the toilet). This definitely might make some couples or families uncomfortable. The "zen" theme of the hotel was evident, although for people not particularly interested in that aspect, it wasn't overwhelming. The incense was a nice touch, as was the small fountain in the living room (which could be turned on or off) and the CDs with quiet music. The continental breakfast was not included in the price of the hotel, which was fine since there are coffee shops and fast food restaurants nearby. Parking was also significantly more expensive than nearby garages, and if you don't plan on using your car to drive around the city there is no need to have in/out privileges anyway. We parked in a garage two blocks away for about half the hotel's cost. Overall, we had a very nice experience, and I'd definitely stay here again for a short trip! For a longer trip, I'd probably choose a more conventional hotel with more storage space. read more

my new favourite hotel in toronto! I loved the decor, the reservation desk was a little different as they just had laptops and it was very small, but it did the trick. The rooms were huge and had a small kitchen, nice bathroom, big flat-screen tv, living area, and a nice comfy bed! I think there was even a washer and dryer in there. I loved how the mini bar was stocked and there were snacks too, we didn't have any but it's nice that's it's there if you would like! I was defiantly a little skeptical when booking this hotel but it was outstanding :) my only complaint would be the parking situation, they only had valet parking for an additional $40. So we had to find a parking garage and walk to the hotel, when we left our parking ended up being $52.. which is absolutely crazy to me! should have just splurged for the valet.. read more

Stayed here over the Christmas holidays and services were a bare minimum because it was a statutory holiday. Can't blame them for that. The hotel room was reminiscent of a bachelor apartment with very trendy furnishings. The bed was absolutely heavenly to sleep on. The sheets were soft, and the pillows were sink-in-to-bed goodness! The room itself was a bit small, and we had a corner room (usually these are bigger) but that is forgiveable considering the cost of real estate in the area. There are lots of great restaurants nearby, and the St. Lawrence Market is just around the corner. It is a nice boutique hotel. The front desk staff honoured the CAA rate despite the fact that I neglected to bring my membership card. read more

This is my favorite hotel in Toronto. Its a boutique hotel, so you don't get that normal over crowded, stuffy, busy feeling you get in other hotel chains. There are only five rooms per floor, so you get a nice romantic, private, intimate experience. Its designed to make you feel at home, so you don't have to sacrifice any luxuries you would normally have at home. In the evening, usually while your out, someone sneaks into your room and leaves you a gourmet fresh fruit platter with chocolate covered strawberries and exotic fruit. Its a really nice touch. If you want to plan a really cool hotel party, book a suite, you get a full kitchen, (fridge, dishwasher, washer, dryer), so you'll have everything you need to throw a killer party. And it really doesn't cost more than regular hotels. Wayyy cool read more

Stayed here for 3 days and will never come back! Our room looked clean but I noticed our sheets weren't changed the pillow cases were doubled meaning they just put a new case over and the old one is still there. Also I notice some brown stains where the sheets were tucked looks like dried blood stains...probably semen stains on this as well as the sheets smelled weird So I asked one the house keepers I saw in hallway and she was extremely rude don't know her name as she had no name tag she had glasses,Russian European lady I asked if she could get me new sheets & cases when she replied she said in a rude manner "I'm not house keeper you need to call front desk or wait for room cleaning" RIDICULOUS what kinda people is this hotel hiring? Was leery because of previous reviews We were pleasantly surprised. First impression was Graham at the front desk and he was VERY nice and accommodating. Parked around the corner and only paid $20 dollars for 2 nights. Fully furnished kitchen, granite counters, washer and dryer, 2 tv's. The spa was AMAZING! Room fantastic. Very private and quiet. This hotel is very conveniently located and for a ok price. But the hotel rooms seem very old and decorated from the 90s! We have a view of a brick wall.. but at least the room seemed very clean. It was basically a studio since the bed was in the living room. The kitchen has some overpriced snacks. The bathroom was nice and clean. I would only recommend for a quick one night, but not long periods of time. The location was key for us and it is about a 15 minute walk to the CN tower. Also there was no valet parking available so we have to park in a lot about 5 minutes down the street. That was not very convenient either.. read more

It was a love and hate relationship with the hotel. Check-in was a bit chaotic and confusing...we didn't know where to park/valet. We had to ask for help with our luggage. The room was spacious and had kitchen amenities. Definitely great for a long time stay. The view from our room was amazing. Room could use a thorough cleaning. Very dusty and rugs needed vacuuming. The wi-fi was extremely spotty. When we called down to inform front desk that the wifi was not working he assured us that it was working and nobody else had complained about the wifi so obviously it was working...From there we figured we troubleshoot ourselves and figured out that the wifi was very spotty and we had to stand near the entrance for any type of service. The wifi signal was stronger outside our rooms and even outside in the front of the hotel. Location of the hotel was great, right around the corner from the subway and also walking distance to a lot of places including the mall. read more
