Brought my electric car in for its 7,000 mile check up. They saw a recall and took care of that along with tire rotation and system check. I went for an oil change and tire rotation. I waited over an hour during my workday and they never did my tire rotation. They said I needed new tires. So do the rotation and I'll decide when and where I'll buy my tires! Over an hour for an oil change is completely ridiculous! They knew I was working. Was quoted over $630 for tires. Called Town Fair and I will get them there for $420. Will never go back to my dealership again for regular service. Valvoline gets me out in 15 min. read more

I was delighted when Ouafaa Kouhaila from Executive Kia reached out to me. She was easy to like. She worked hard to make it possible for me to lease a Sportage. I thank her. She even drove my newly leased car home to drop me off. I would recommend working with Ouafaa to anyone. She is competent, pleasant, and goes the extra mile. The managers went out of their way to be friendly. It was a change from the hidden adversarial interaction I had with other dealerships where they were on a commission. I had a wonderful experience at this dealership, and Ouafaa made it possible. I have been to this dealership three times since my last review three years ago. I went about two years ago for service; it was a wonderful experience. I cannot remember the names of the associates, but they went beyond themselves to make the experience pleasant and short. My car was well-serviced. It was a five-star experience. Then I went back about 9 months ago, wanting to upgrade to an electric car before the lease was up. The reception was tepid. I had to wait for a while even though no customers were around. I had to insist on seeing the quote. I thought being treated as if my time was not valuable was disrespectful. There were no apologies. The quote they gave me for my car was not something I could even negotiate with. I was angry when I left the dealership. This was a one-star experience. Then I went to the East Hartford Kia dealership, which had a great promotion on electric cars, and got a reasonable quote for my car and a new lease. I was over the mileage limit on my leased car a couple of months before the return date. There is a tiny crack in the window. East Hartford Kia told me my car was great the way it was and did not even need to be cleaned (it was in good condition). They will take it the way it is. My guess is that the car is in great shape, so they can clear a couple of thousand dollars by selling it. Thinking the Kia dealerships have similar deals and wanting to give the local town Kia a second chance, I returned to Executive Kia and asked them to match the deal. They acted befuddled and had no idea how I could have gotten such a good deal! I know that East Hartford Kia is not a non-profit! They gave me a deal that worked for them, meaning Executive Kia is probably less hungry and is used to a much larger profit margin. By the way, East Hartford Kia offers to install a charger in your garage, supplying the equipment and up to 10 feet of wiring from your main panel. An electrician will call you to come to your house to install it. Yes, check it out. Go to the "research" part of their website for details. This is worth a $1000. In addition, all leased electric vehicles get two full services a year. Executive Kia does not offer a charger or installation or free servicing. East Harford and Executive Kias offer 1000 watts of electricity free from the site in North Haven. And Executive Kia could not come close to the monthly and down payments! I am disappointed with Executive Kia. I love Kia and would love to stay local with my purchases, but such is not my luck. Two five stars and two one stars. I will give them three stars. read more

I came to see why a light was on the dash,but I acquired another problem with my tire before I got there . They were very nice and honest to me( usually I can smell b.s) but they gave me choices and alot of snacks to convince me to wait the two hours longer then needed at first to fix both. The waiting area is decent with comfy chairs and access to the remote for the t.v if you notice noone but yourself is watching. They have plugs near some seats and snack bars and a coffee/water station. When the finished my truck they had fixed a bulb out for free and gave me advice to further the vitality of my vehicle. I totally recommend this Kia service department for your vehicle repairs . read more

I went with a friend for them to lease a Kia Sportage and watched them get talked into a car that was considerably more money and not a Sportage. They gave my friend some rebates and promos to give a good price, but still considerably more than the car she went in to buy. The sales person said they didn't have the Kia model she wanted on the lot (a lie) and pushed the totally electric sedan model. They also "forgot" to tell her that model they were pushing had a recall on it and proceeded to lease it to her. She called them only 3 days later and told them how unhappy she was with the car and could they switch out the lease for the car she originally asked to buy. They told her yes over the phone and when she got there they told her it would cost her $11K MORE for the less expensive car. There was some very sketchy dealing here so if you are considering from purchasing from them, think twice. I would give zero stars if I could. read more

This negative review is mostly due to the service, or lack thereof, of Todd Perry, the "Service Coordinator." I took my car here for an expensive repair upon his diagnosis and recommendation. Almost $1,000 later, the repair was obviously not done correctly. The same symptoms were present as I drove the car off the lot. I brought it back in the next day and after 2.5 hours, TP determined that a part that was supposed to be replaced wasn't replaced, and promised that he'd call me when the part comes in. Fast forward a week and I hadn't heard from him, so I called and left him a message. Two days later, still hadn't heard from him, so I called and left another message. That day, he finally called back and said they've got the part. So, I made an appointment for the following week, totally rearranging my life in the midst of a lot of work and personal busyness, in order for them to complete the job that should have been done right in one visit, not the three that it was going to be. So I'm at this appointment, and after 1 hour of waiting, he tells me that the part they got in isn't the right part. Huh? You're the "Service Coordinator," right? Shouldn't you have recognized that before calling me to tell me that you've got the part? And maybe you could have deciphered this problem in less than one hour and not wasted so much of my time this afternoon? So now he says he'll give me a call when the right part comes in (sure, I've heard that line before...) and he'll throw in a free oil change for my troubles. Wow, so generous! I paid nearly $1,000 for a repair that wasn't done correctly, have been in three times related to it -- and will be in a fourth time if I come in yet again -- and you're going to compensate me for my time with a service that a) I could do on my own, b) if I would pay, it would cost me $20, and c) I don't even need anytime soon. This is undoubtedly the lowest quality Kia service station I have ever been to. Save your money, your time, and your sanity by avoiding it if at all possible. read more

I can't tell you how disappointed I am with this business. What they did is outright racketeering. I noticed my car had no heat, but it started and ran fine. The problem progressed so that it would not hold fluids. I was able to drive it there. I called around to all of the KIA dealers because I wanted a quick turnaround. They promised 3 weeks, whereas the others 4-6 weeks. They replaced the water pump under warranty, but it also had a cracked radiator and fan, they said. When I added fluids, they did not leak out the front at the radiator, but further back around the water pump or hoses. The fan had looked fine when I saw it, no broken fins, but perhaps they found something I could not see, I thought. I mistakenly trusted them. It was a $4,500 claim total. After a couple of weeks the car was not fixed, and they transferred it to the body shop, assuring me the body shop would handle it better and quicker. December came and went, my rental car coverage expired, and my Kia was still not fixed - no parts available they said. I attempted a rental car at the non-insurance rate, but I was unable to make the payments. Someone kept popping my rental car tires in the sidewalls. One per week, 3 consecutive weeks, but this was covered free of charge by Monroe in West Hartford. January came and went, car still not fixed. I had to retrieve some things from my car. It was cleaned out, and my papers were neatly stacked as if they were gone through. All of the items were removed. The claim no. and insurance company name were X'd out, and the grill was removed, the front plastic part was in the trunk. The guy there said, "Supply-chain issues (with smile on his face)", and "Did you recognize it with the grill.. removed?" I remained composed and said, "No.", took my things and left. I could not work with the rental company. My income was too low, but I was able to squeak into a deal for another car, same mileage and year, but not a hybrid like my Kia. 33 mpg vs. 50 mpg. This additional car payment was $529, in addition to my Kia, which I still had to pay, $420, my insurance doubled up over $400, because now there was an "accident" claim, and an additional car. Plus I had to cough up an additional $600 of taxes, which was all of the money I had saved at the time. So I had the feeling these guys were dicking me around probably because Executive Auto Group is where my ex-boss, Joe Pugliares, a Sicilian, bought his cars. Executive is owned by another Italian, John Smallpini. There were supposedly separate and unrelated issues with my former company, Jarvis Products, which were in the process of being decided in the State CHRO office in Waterbury, of all places to have a CHRO office, especially when dealing with Italians. But you know Paisans, everything is related and calls for retaliation wherever and whenever they can. Slimy tentacles reaching into everywhere. Oh yeah, and Jarvis raised a bogus dispute, cutting off my unemployment compensation from October into December. So as it stands today, one year later, I was about to qualify to refinance my Kia loan, because I paid it down by half. It would have been reduced to the $200's. Executive KIA timely (impeccable, it's uncanny. Were they listening when I was going over this with the manager at my credit union?) sends a bill to my lender for the claim amount, plus $4,000 in storage fees-$8,000. Which my lender paid and did not question. I guess the 4 months Executive held on to my KIA while I struggled with doubled-up car payments, taxes, and insurance meant nothing to them, because you know, "Supply chain." (Smile). Well this has been a good exercise. It's all down now. I just have to copy and paste this to a bunch of different websites, throw it out there, see what sticks. read more

I am a younger female who was looking to find a reliable car, that was in my price range, that had all my wants, and wasn't going to put me in the mechanics everyday. Which I know sounds impossible. Sherece A. Mad six was absolutely the best sales rep I have ever encountered and I am so thankful I had her. She was so caring and understand towards my wants, needs, and price range. Not once did she try to pressure me into any thing nor did she try to get me to go "a little higher". She understand what I wanted. Not only did she act this way the first day, she continued searching for me after my first time there. Called me and emailed me asking me my preferences. The second time I went in, she had the exact car I wanted. Not only did she go out of her way to find me a car, she found one with exactly every little thing I wanted, low miles, just out of a lease, in my price range, etc. I could go on for days about how helpful Sherece is. She also reassured me about any mechanical problems and provided me with all information. My experience with buying the vehicle, the repair shop, facility everything was absolutely great. I don't think I will ever go anywhere else When I buy another car in the future 110% best believe I am going to find Sherece Maddix for my purchase because I would not be as happy and confident if it wasn't for her. Update on my 2018 Cadenza 21 months ownership so far and not even the smallest hint of a problem. Nothing. Service appointments have always gone great. They tell you what's due, you say yes, they do it timely, they explain what was done in detail, they review their fees (very reasonable) , expedite payment for you and lastly give you a free car wash ticket. Every time I come in here people are polite and professional. The salesperson "Chien" always comes by to say hello and asks if we need help. So tell me . Reached out to Executive Kia on a quote for a new Telluride. They connected me with Ouafaa. I spoke with her for 30 mins and asked her to send me a quote. She never sent me a quote but I continued to get marketing emails from her asking me to reach out. I finally responded and asked her why she keeps sending me them, we already spoke, you know what I want, and I'm just waiting for you to send me the quote. She said she's sorry and asked me what I wanted all over again which told me she was never getting back to me in the first place. Just bought a used car, the exact weird and hard to come by Lexus model I'd been searching for, from Kevin "KG" Gilliams. Super nice, personable guy, and what I really appreciate, especially on the test drive we did, was how incredibly patient and responsive he was. I was being overly picky about the car (read: BRUTAL) because, uhhhh, it's a CAR- it costs THOUSANDS, needs to get me to work reliably, and most importantly, can be a deadly weapon if things go sideways. After our drive, I went home for the day but by the following evening without making a decision (as I swore I would no matter what) but after driving another of this model in much rougher shape with a pissy salesman who couldn't be bothered to entertain my questions or concerns, I couldn't wait to call Kevin back. Once I found out the car was still there, he took my totally refundable deposit right over the phone and delivered the car for me almost 40 miles to my local mechanic to inspect that afternoon - quick and easy and saving me many trips (these are all things the other dealer scoffed about doing.) The times I did head out to the dealership in person, Kevin was more than happy to work with MY crazy schedule. The rest was a quick, pleasant, and very transparent buying experience - I also had the pleasure of dealing with Joe, the Sales Manager, and briefly me Todd in Svc when the anti-theft plates on my trade in decided to work too well -rather than break the bolts he outwitted Audi with a couple basic tools and got them off in the DARK, freezing, crappy weather so I could drive home in my new car. It's true that the place is a little humble compared to some of the glitzier dealerships in the area - I found the actual lot where the used offerings are parked to be very windy and tough to navigate, but overall it's a nice place to be. I mean, they have WiFi, snacks, and a TV- what else do some people expect, a margarita and a manicure? I also note some people felt like the buying experience took too long. That, too, is granted, but they're just being thorough, as they have to be. Why not take more time to think about your huge purchase, and not be rushed? read more

This use to be a Saturn dealer and some of the staff remained as well as the great customer service philosophy. I always bring my 2011 Optima here for routine service. They always squeeze me in if I show up last minute or go on Thursday evening where they have extended hours. The service advisors are knowledgable and courteous. I always find myself chatting with the sales folks who are wonderful (especially Chin!) I find the service prices to be average, but I always get coupons, so in the end it's cheaper than having it done at a lube & go. They've never tried to pressure or sell me add-ons or unnecessary services. They have wi-fi and a nice waiting area. I highly recommend Executive Kia. read more

Stay very very far away from (chin). He is rude, pushy and has a total lack of respect for others. He wasn't even my salesman and he's been calling and harassing me because he sold my old car I traded in. Used cars come as is, that's what I was told. And the salesman don't seem to speak to each other because I told (amber) who was my salesman what was going on and she never messaged me back and obviously never told chin because he kept calling me and leaving nasty and very rude voicemails. I would stay away from both of them. Plus when you do try to call them and speak to a manager, it goes right to his voicemail and he never calls back. I went to Executive Kia yesterday to test drive a car I had been looking at online and to value my trade (which I had purchased from Executive Kia two years ago). Joe Ortiz, the salesman, was great. I bought my last car from him and he was gracious and well informed. However when it came time to crunch numbers, the sales manager Kevin put me in a very high pressure buying situation, attempting to manipulate me into buying the car almost impulsively by using high pressure sales tactics. At one point Kevin said "Did you like the vehicle? Are you going to buy it today? You aren't buying right this second? Oh, well then you must NOT like the vehicle if you aren't going buy it right now." He was smug and asked me this several times in a row, unsatisfied with my response. When I politely stated that I simply wanted to show my significant other the numbers before buying, he responded with "Well I WAS going to do something nice for you, but I will just let you go home and talk it over with your boyfriend." When I asked him what something nice meant, he sheepishly deflected my question and said "Oh just go talk to your boyfriend, I was going to do something nice but talk to your boyfriend first." What followed was a barrage of questions about where my boyfriend worked, why he couldn't come to the dealership, and reminders about how the car was going to sell ten minutes after I left. Not. Cool. At this point I mentioned my job (in psychology) which I don't think I've ever had to use as leverage to implicitly communicate to someone to stop trying manipulative sales tactics. I understand we all have a job to do, but intimidation just doesn't fly when I'm trying to make a big purchase. I won't return to this place. Follow up: it's 10 days later and the car is still for sale - guess it didn't sell ten minutes after I left! read more

They told me my current car's engine would die if I didn't trade it in right away. They were argumentative trying to make me agree to the used car and about what I wanted to pay. They meaning the sales person and the manager. I went to Milford Kia and got exactly what I wanted and was told nothing was wrong with my current car.
