This place is a zoo. Bought my car there because of a good deal but wonder if it's worth the experience to ever go back. Chaotic sales people running around seemly with no purpose, took hours to get to a financial person to finalize the sale. Very, very pushy attempt to get me to buy an extended warrant..... The service department seems to be overwhelmed as there was a line of cars waiting to see a service manager when I took the car back for the initial 5K service. Extremely low offer on my trade in. Told me I needed to return to Watertown to get my $1,000 deposit back. They lied as the wanted me back to pressure me to test drive a car that came in. I rearranged my whole day and found out I DID NOT have to drive all the way there for refund! Charging me $1,000 for delivery of a car they already had coming in. My rav was in service for a tune up. Service came out and told me my brakes were metal to metal front and back and other things wrong with it. Over $2,000 fix. I took my car to a mechanic today and my brakes are fine!!! On 7/31/2025 my car was left for tire service and almost 4 weeks later I had to call Toyota Corporate because Cabtree Toyota had not done anything with my vehicle, then the manager Joe contacts me giving me excuses and promises about my vehicle one more week on 8/15/2025 I call Joe and ask him about my vehicle, he tells me that they will call me soon to pick it up, during the call I ask him if my car was hit or scratched, he answers me no, that everything is perfect. Today 8/18/2025 and when I picked up my car, surprise it is scratched, I do not understand what service they provide starting with the service center (Steve, Glenn, and finally the manager Joe). Too many things to list. Main issue is waiting on the spare key for the used car we purchased. Was told for weeks it was in Milford and the dealer would get it. Never happened. Now trying to be there for their key guy but he had truck issues and couldn't do until following week with an hour window. So let me keep leaving work and wasting so much time for a spare key that should have been with the vehicle upon purchase. For such a simple thing turning into such a time waster. Bought a car from here - 6 years ago.the car had a recall on it for something and I wasn't told. I called recently because the doors wouldn't open. the part was covered under warranty. This is after I spent 10k on motor parts last year. The car has given me nothing but trouble . The costs are outrageous to fix anything thru them.I came back because the door would not close again and now they wanted to charge a diagnostic fee even though over the phone the lady said it was about the same issue so bring it in. They are not helpful at all. They did call to get me to trade this for something else.To call about the issue took me 30 minutes to talk to someone.They wanted to charge me a Diagnostic fee for the same problem, driving the car with a door that I can't open for fear it won't close. They really don't seem To care about safety or customer happiness. I bought another car since the car I bought from them Is unsafe. Check recalls before you buy from them. I bought a brand new Camry back on December. The sales experience was fine. Nothing outstanding, but nothing negative either. When I took delivery of the car, it only came with 1 key. I was told that was due to supply chain issues, and my second key would be here in about a month. One month passed, no key, was told they are still waiting for it. 3 months, same story. It is now 9 months later. Still no key! No explanation. This is my third Toyota. From 3 different dealerships. I have never had issues, or such a lack of communication from either of the other 2 . Where do I start? First I want to say that we are a large family with a daughter in a wheelchair who needed reliable transportation. We decided to go to Crabtree Toyota almost an hour away because of such great reviews on the internet. When we first drove up we were greeted from a nice man named Tahir. Who tried everything to find an 8 passenger vehicle for us. We were short on time and had to leave .But, he kept his word and called us the next day to come and look at a nice van. We didn't like the color but it was definitely what we needed. So we decided to go through with the process. Long story short after waiting hours in the waiting area to finish paperwork our sales man was by our side offering water and making sure we were comfortable. Once we were with James Devoe everything changed for the worse. As he offered these warranties that sounded great we agreed to one but we asked what our monthly payment would be. He brushed us off and said please hurry and sign here, here and here. I'm very busy and I'm the only one working here. I repeated the question before I finished paying my almost $10,000.00 down payment. He repeated I don't know but I'll see if I can find it after I bring this other gentleman in my office whos been waiting. We go to the front desk were I will say the young lady that takes the payments did not greet us once any time we have gone there. Not even a hello welcome nothing! So James comes out and before we make the payment I said we need to know our monthly payment. He says $124 a month more than the agreed amount. I assume thats why he didn't want us to see our new monthly payment amount. So I told him absolutely NOT! I wanted to know why it went up. He than loudly says infront of other potential customers and staff. What's the problem you can't afford $50.00 more? Are you really letting this deal pass for $50 for someone who says there on a budget !!!!! That's the numbers that's what it is. And if you want me to do this paperwork again you will have to wait around. Keep in my mind were parents to more than one child with disabilities an now we are over 4 hours in waiting. I told my fiance get me out of here as soon as possible and forget about the car. On the verge of tears because I felt humiliated.I was shaking with anger and sadness all in one.The sales man rushes over to Ednei Lima and Frank Pratts (managers ) who took it very seriously! They cared and literally fixed the monthly payments within minutes. They were upset and embarrassed. They knew he was in the wrong and they wanted to make it right. So Jonathan Irizarry said come with me. Were going to make this right for you. He also apologized and calmed me down and literally talked me through everything. We ended up going through with the deal and another manager talked to me on the phone who wasn't even at work and was very very nice. Management is amazing at this location. Besides James and the front desk. I just want to say thank you to the good people who helped me through a almost 6 hour day at Crabtree Toyota! Terrible online follow-up. I submitted a trade-in for appraisal/offer and after nearly a week, I had not heard anything. I inquired about this twice with the online sales liaison and only received cut/paste responses such as "our team will reach out to you soon" and "your business is important." I buy new cars every one or two years; I don't ask for a dealership to bend over backwards but, c'mon, just a little customer service would be nice. I guess Crabtree is doing so well they can refer customers to other dealerships. Their Nissan franchise is just as poor; I asked a simple question about a lease and, crickets. Just the same impersonal "bot" text messages. I just bought a 2033 RAV4 Hybrid from Crabtree Motors in Watertown, CT and have to rate this as the best buying experience ever. Period. Most of the credit goes to Jonathan Irizarry, their salesman. He literally met us at the door and immediately provided expert assistance in helping us make a great decision. We did a couple of test drives, and he got approval for an offer we couldn't refuse. We came back to finalize the deal and he gave an expert tutorial. We also had great treatment at the end of the deal from Crabtree's financial manager James.
